Gorgeous water views, we watched the whales every evening. Quiet place, well furnished with eating area on balcony also. Second bedroom has twin beds. Four beach chairs and two boogie boards to take to other beaches. The only disappointment was that the beach at this complex is so small - probably only 30 feet or less to the water. Can't sit on the beach at high tide but there are lots of lawn areas to use. The beach does have some shade and everyone crowds under it. We would definitely stay here again. Ely, the owner, is very easy to deal with. Take the sunset cruise on Hula Girl - they don't give free drinks or food so it's not crowded and it felt like our private party.

What a Fabulous Vacation our family of five had. The unit was in excellent condition and dealing with the owner was so easy. The listing description is so accurate...you have a great oceanfront view and we loved eating out on the balcony everyday! Stores are in walking distance and the beach...what can I say...lived on the beach. We are hoping to go back to the same unit as soon as possible...no need to look for a different location. We are in love with this one!

First of all, dealing with the owner was outstanding--he leaves detailed instructions about the condo, how to get there, check in, etc. He is extremely easy to deal with and very very helpful. It makes a big big difference and makes the hard part of renting a VRBO much more easy. The condo is great--easily slept 5 of us. The back room is nice and dark for naps which was important for our two young girls. The view from the balcony and master bedroom have outstanding views of the ocean and pool. The balcony is huge--we ate out there daily. The kitchen is fully stocked and modern (much better than most condos at this price) and we made some great food there. The beds were quite comfortable, including the pull out couch. The location is great as well--right on the beach, with the big pool right outside. You are perfectly situated in the condo location and perfectly situated in Kaanapali. The local grocery is within walking distance and Whalers' Village is 5 minutes away driving. The facility is great as well--2 tennis courts, 2 hot tubs, food and shops (not a lot but a 'ABC' type store) on site, and two pools. There is food on site as well if needed. In summary--worth every penny, from dealing with the owner, the location, the condo itself, etc. If you are lucky enough to have time to stay here--take it and stop searching. You will not be dissapointed.

Once again, we had a great experience staying in this condo. The views are wonderful and it's nice to be able to see the kids at the pool right from the balcony. I even took advantage of the multiple windows and showered while looking out over the ocean. This time we had 4 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of space and everyone had a great time. We love being able to shop at the grocery store right across the street and then cook in the nice kitchen in the apartment. I have to also mention how helpful the activity planning people down by the pool were. I am usually wary of being pressured into something I don't want by places like that. But the lady I worked with to plan a couple of activities was fantastic. She found a zip line company that accommodated my very lightweight son when I couldn't find one on the Internet. Then she also gave us free snorkel gear for the week because we booked through her. Thanks for another great vacation.

This property is amazing. The lanai affords its occupants wonderful views of the ocean, whales, the island of Molokai, and the Kaanapali Shores property. Our party would start our day here, and end here in the evening, listening to the waves rolling onto the shore. The inside was beautiful, bright, and modern. The kitchen had all amenities, and made meal preparation simple, with plenty of room for multiple cooks. The master bedroom also had floor to ceiling windows with yet another breathtaking view of the ocean. What a view to wake up to!!!!! The pictures are very accurate as to size and quality. The condo was very clean upon arrival, and we were pleased with our interim cleaning as well. The owner was fabulous to do business with. Any time I was in contact with him, he was helpful, prompt, and informative. I would recommend this property to anyone, and would like to return myself sometime. Kaanapali Shores Beach Resort has a wonderful atmosphere with wonderful amenities, friendly staff, and a great location. The on-site Beach Club Restaurant is convenient and delicious. I have no complaints, and would highly recommend this condo as a great rental spot.

The condo was as fabulous as advertised! Great view from the balcony, nice furnishings and everything you need for a great time. Extremely clean. The location of this property is convenient as well. Ely responded to all our questions ahead of the visit, so we felt very prepared. We had absolutely no complaints! We visited two other islands and stayed in condos at those as well. This property exceeded those in every category. We can confidently recommend this condo property to family and friends.

Thank you so much to Ely for renting us his condo for Christmas 2010. We had the absolute best holiday ever. Ely was very easy to deal with and replied quickly to emails. We booked about 10 months in advance as I had been to Ka'anapali Shores before and I knew that at peak season it is very popular. The condo is part hotel/part private condos. The pool and grounds are kept very tidy and clean. There are 2 pools - one close to the beach and one in the garden area. The garden pool is smaller and more shallow (perfect for little kids). The resort is very close to a supermarket, restaurants, ABC store, gas etc. We ate at the resort restaurant a few times and found it was never very busy and it was decent and well-priced. The beach in front of the resort is a nice sandy beach, however, the water is very rough. We were out swimming and a bunch of people started yelling at us to get in. They told us there is a very strong rip current just in front of the beach and it is very dangerous. Someone died there last year. We never saw any signs until they pointed one out. It was back near the parking lot and very difficult to see. If you walk down the beach there are lots of better areas to swim. There were lots of beach chairs which were always available. The hotel had Santa pictures and a mini-luau show, as well as Christmas card decorating for the kids. The BBQ area is quite far from the room but it wasn't too big a deal to walk there. There are picnic tables if you prefer to eat there but it isn't the best view! The condo was wonderful and very clean. There are 2 bedrooms (one master and one with 2 twin beds) and 2 bathrooms. The master bathroom shower was so big that we put our infant son to sleep in the playpen in the shower. The lanai is large and overlooks the ocean and pool. I was a bit concerned that it would be noisy but by 8pm it is quite quiet. The condo is nicely decorated and very modern. There were boogie boards and a beach umbrella (which was broken) for use. There are toys and some books leftover to read. Kitchen was stocked well enough. Cleaning lady said that they cannot leave leftover food in fridge or cupboards for next guests. The ice shoot didn't work and the vacuum was hard to use but that is really the only complaint. I LOVED the entire trip and can't wait to go back. We will definitely contact Ely again! Thank you!!!

We stayed two weeks in this unit and absolutely loved the location. It's on the beach but also has a view of the pool and courtyard so you get a little of everything. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to feel at home. Renting from the owner went smoothly with confirmation of booking and payment coming promptly after they were made. He also was quick to answer any questions we had before we left. We enjoyed the lanai so much that we spent the majority of our home time there, taking in the action at the pool or watching the conch bearer light the tiki torches in the evening. The concierge was so helpful as well making it easy for us to book many excursions from the hotel. The on site restaurant was also enjoyable and very conveniently close by. Every morning there were free scuba lessons offered at the pool. Also snorkel gear as well as other water equipment can be rented on site. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the not too distant future.

We had a wonderful experience at your condo. What a fabulous view!! Waking up to the sights and sounds of the beach every day was spectacular. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. My brother, his wife and my brother-in-law came to Maui, also but stayed in a condo down the road. They spent the majority of their days with us at your condo and the pool. Very family oriented and friendly atmosphere. We will be back if you'll have us.

We had a wonderful time in Maui. This condo was everything we had hoped for, and more. The listing photos definitely accurately depict the rental's appearance. It was so great to have the lanai and master bedroom facing the ocean to wake up and go to sleeep to the lovely sounds every day. All of our questions were answered even before we knew what to ask- thanks for prior communications via e-mail. The only minor complaint was a slow drain in the master bath sink and other bathroom tub. The expedia desk was very helpful for setting up excursions and we left a couple of boogie boards and styrofoam cooler that was convenient for cruising the island. We used a book entitled "Hawaii for Dummies" that helped us decide on places to eat, fun in the sun, sunrise at the Volcano, road to Hana tips, etc. It was so helpful- definitely follow the tips for a much nicer experience. If we get the chance to get to Maui any time in the future we would love to stay here again. Thanks so much!!

My family of 5 (2 adults / 3 children ages 10, 12, and 13) stayed at this condo for a week in late June of 2010. I had been to Maui several times, however this was the first time to Maui for our kids. This place was perfect for our needs. The condo was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 5. Great beach for swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling, or just lounging around. The kids took a scuba lesson one morning in the pool, and were in the ocean that afternoon. The location of this condo is close to everything. Shopping, Dining, Surfing in Lahina. After all of those activities, it was nice to hang out at the pool, or relax on the Lanai and enjoy the spectacular view. We didn't dine out much because it was much more enjoyable to BBQ while watching the sunset. Booking this condo through Eli was extreemly easy and he was very helpful. We will definately stay here next time we go to Maui.

The view was spectacular, even better than the picture. The patio furniture made it very comfortable for many people to sit out there and enjoy the view and breeze. The door slide all the way open so there is no difference between the outdoors and in. Kitchen well stocked. The whole experience was superb. Highly recommend this unit.

Our family of 6 stayed at this condo over spring break. Our ten days there were fantastic. The condo easily fit our needs. We loved the location, view (saw so many whales right off the balcony), floorplan, and number of amenities the resort offered. Other friends were staying in the complex too, so we shared most meals together between the two kitchens and never ate in the restaurant. (Though we did visit the poolside bar for daily drink specials.) We would highly recommend this condo and resort to anyone who's looking for the perfect getaway.

Location, furnishings, conditions and maintenance as described -- excellent, and the view from the lanai is superb. Got up early in the mornings just to drink coffee on the lanai, watch sunrise reflected on Molokai, listen to waves, read and watch for whale spouts (saw several on the first cup). I can't overstate how great this location is overlooking pool, etc., and near enough to look directly out over ocean -- the pictures are the same as some of ours. Four of us -- 2 adults, two teenage girls. All enjoyed it immensely. Girls spent LOTS of time at pools and hot tubs. Handy restaurant next to the pool. Good food at Pizza Paradiso across road from condo, and at Cilantro (Mexican) at Lahaina (easy takeout from both). You will want a vehicle to travel around -- girls especially liked the beaches at Napili Bay [don't miss The Gazebo for breakfast or lunch!], Kahekili Beach Park, and Canoe Beach in West Maui area. We highly recommend snorkeling/diving trip on Hula Girl catamaran from beach at Whalers Village -- boat & crew couldn't be nicer food great, snorkeling fun; saw more whales than we could count. Also recommend drives to Kula Highway (mile 16+ Grandma's for coffee and pastry) for different great upcountry view), Iao Needle Park and old Wailuku (good lunch at Cafe O Lei), Pa'ia to shop -- watch windsurfers at Ho'okipa (drove to Hana on last trip), and also down to Wailea for the beaches (Wailea, Maluaka, and Big Beach) ($hops at Wailea!!), dining at Kihei (lunch at Peggy Sue's) -- excellent dinner at Five Palms, and interesting drive down to La Perouse Bay lava fields. We enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this unit -- will definitely try to get it for our next Maui vacation.

We spent 2 weeks at Kaanapali Shores. The view from the condo was beautiful. So nice to wake up to the sound of the ocean. The property is very nice and convenient to everything. We have been to Maui many times and this was one of the most relaxing places we have stayed. Ely was very helpful with recommendations of things to do and restaurants to go to. One of our favorites was the Alhoa Mixed Plate in Lahaina. Very reasonable, good food and a beautiful view of the ocean. We went on two excursions with Trilogy and would highly recommend both. Ely was very good to work with and made everything run smoothly. The pictures on line accurately depict the views from the condo. We will definitely be back - our only regret - that we only booked 2 weeks! Next time will hope for 3. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with everything close by this is it. Enjoy!

We have a very nice stay at this condo. The view and proximity to the ocean and pool couldn't be beat. We went with my parents and they loved being able to see the kids playing in the pool from the deck. The condo's are located next to a wonderful beach that our 3 year old LOVED. The condo was well equiped, had an unbeatable view, and was recently remodeled. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 stars because I would have liked the 2nd bedroom to be a bit bigger as we stayed there with two couples and kids.

Ely: Your condo in Kaanapali Shores was just what we needed! After four days in a hotel room it was nice to relax in a nice condo with the ammenities of home like a washer/dryer and full kitchen. The views were exactly like what we saw on VRBO. I loved the low-rise building and the view was fantastic. The grounds of Kaanapali Shores were equally as beautiful with all the tropical trees. We took a beautiful picture out our lanai of a rainboow diving into the Pacific with the island in the background. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone going to the west side of Maui. The girl at the activity desk was very helpful with all of our questions. Even the hamburgers we brought up from the restaurant were delicious. Thanks for all your help with the condo - it was the perfect end to a memorable vacation for my family. The Johnsons, Wichita Falls, TX

My family and I had a fabulous time at Kaanapali Shores over Christmas 2009. The property was exactly like the photos - clean, fresh and homely. We had 4 people in the condo and had loads of space. The washer, dryer, dishwasher and ice-maker in the fridge were so useful. We appreciated the beach towels provided as we used them for trips out of the area. The pool was excellent and the staff and other guests were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The Christmas Luau was very well done as well. We had good food at the restaurant. Eli was very helpful throughout the booking process. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives. Thanks, Eli.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Ely's (KS359) condo. Our family, 2 adults and 2 sons (ages 18 & 20), thought the condo was beautiful and very comfortable with awesome views. The location worked out great for us. We found the best body surfing/boogie board waves at D T Fleming Beach just 10 minutes north. We also found a disc golf course next to D T Fleming that was fantastic and free. We often dined in Lahania just 10 minutes south. We wanted a very special and memorable vacation with our sons before they headed off to college and it was everything we had hoped for! Ely was great to work with and we highly recommend staying at either of his condos.

The condo lived up to it's reputation as being a very nice place to call home for the 5 days we stayed. We prefer condos and the small things count, such as that there was laundry/dish/bar soap, and other amenities as well as trash bags, plastic wrap, paper towels etc. in the condo making it so convenient. The view was spectacular and the location in the complex was great. If we get back to Kaanapali we'll check if this condo is available. Aloha and Mahalo for sharing your special place with my family. Hello Ely, We had a wonderful time staying in your lovely condo. The condo was in good shape, the view from the lanai is beautiful, and we enjoyed the resort and the pool. From our patio, we were able to wave to our friends and family who were at the pool and beach. Our daughter's wedding at Olowalu Plantation was perfect, everything we could have wished for, thanks to Lori Lawrence of Tropical Maui Weddings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your condo or Lori to anyone seeking either service. While in Maui we took the ferry to Lanai to The Lodge at Koele - what a beautiful resort. We also enjoyed snorkeling, whale watching (just the right time - they were popping up all over the place), surfing, and many good restaurants. Maui and Kaanapali Shores #359 provided a lovely vacation/family wedding venue for all of us. Thanks again for great accommodations. Quel Cassidy

Though we weren't sure we were EVER going to make it to KS359 for our Apr 11-20th vacation because of airline bankruptcy a week before and American cancellation just 24 hrs before our flight, we DID (after 2 layovers and 20 hrs) make it to the condo at 12:30 a.m. the 12th! We were ready to strangle one another by that time, and after a day of rain, cooler weather, and REST we were blessed to have glorious sunshine and 'peace' the remainder of our stay. :) THANKS for all the little 'extras' that brought a smile for the thoughtfulness...Maui coffee, delicious fruit basket waiting upon our arrival, beach towels & hair dryers to use...we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant Maui experience, and liked it much better at KS than at The Whaler, where we stayed 6 years ago. We even witnessed a beach wedding from the lanai the evening before we headed back home! Please tell Myeron from Beach Club Restaurant that we St. Louisans miss him when you visit. We definitely miss waking up to relaxing mornings with friendly, efficient staff and delicious food at the restaurant, ocean and beauty of the grounds right before us! For future guests, Ruth's Chris Restaurant in Lahaina has steaks to die for. Hilo Hattie's has a fabulous assortment of souvenirs and gifts to take home, and the shops on the grounds were nice, too. Sunrise on Haleakala was breathtaking! Last visit, we took a jumper flight to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor, and that comes highly recommended for a most humbling experience, also. Don't forget Hana Road for some great pictures, and stop at all the overlooks to watch the surfers/windsurfers. If you have small children and go on a Whale Watch, you may want to invest in some Dramamine for the motion sickness that can occur when bouncing on the ocean! THANKS AGAIN, Ely--it was a most pleasant experience working directly with you. We appreciated the prompt responses to emails and helpful info. Hope your son's 'college shopping' went well! ~~Jan, Rod, Ashley & Holly~~

Excellent accomodations! We have made numerous trips to Maui and this was our second time at Kaanapali Shores. The condo was very well maintained with beautiful updates, and the location couldn't have been better. There was plenty of room for the 2 couples and it was nice to have such a great kitchen and living room space. Definitely a keeper.

My family had a wonderful time in Maui, and loved #359! The sounds and view of the ocean were everything we hoped it would be. The setting was perfect. Loved the kitchen. We will be back!

Ely, Thank you for letting us spend a Fabulous New Years week at your place in Kaanapali Shores. We loved being steps away from the beach. The View and setting were perfect and I can really say that the accomidations we first class. We will definitly stay here again whenever we are in Maui. We visited my brother who was staying at the Grand Waelea, and I was glad to get out of there, back to your spot. Happy New Years.
