The sea views are exceptional and can be enjoyed from almost every room.
The nearby countryside and villages provide a multitude of activities that cater for all interests and energy levels! The colourful villages of Ballydehob (two kilometers) and Schull (seven kilometers) are always bustling with activity.
Ballydehob is home to many artists and craft shops while the beautiful fishing village of Schull is a haven for sailors and water sports enthusiasts. Deep-sea angling boats operate out of Schull and shore fishing is also very popular. The boat-angling season is from April to October and shore fishing continues up to December.
The local pubs regularly host live music and folk sessions. The restaurants are very highly rated and seafood caught locally is a specialty. There are three golf courses (one nine-hole and two eighteen-hole) within a 20 minute drive of Árd Glas. Coosheen, a beautiful nine-hole links course overlooking Schull Harbour, is the closest and is only four miles away. Ferries to Cape Clear Island and Sherkin Island run from Schull and Baltimore. Whatever the age there is something for everyone and your comfort is guaranteed in this tranquil setting.
