I could not believe my eyes when we looked out of our apartment to NYC. Lots of room, bus is so easy to take. Everyone is so helpful. I have stayed here twice in 4 months and plan on booking it for two stays in 2012.

My husband and I were here for the NYC Marathon and we were looking for a place to stay that was convenient to NYC, but not right in the middle of it. This apartment was perfect, and we decided to rent it based on other positive reviews. We rented the third floor, one-bedroom apartment, and it was spacious for us with an outstanding view of Manhattan--wonderful! The "Sphinx" or the "Jordan's Taxi" buses are the best to take into Manhattan ($3--can't beat that!) and they stopped often-all times of the day/night, right at the corner. There's also a ferry directly across the street and down some steps that'll take you into Manhattan, too. Lots of easy options for transportation. The apartment itself is nice and it was perfect for us and we had no trouble getting around town, to Manhattan, to the marathon start, etc. Richard and the owner are very helpful if you have questions, and it was a pleasure to stay there. We would stay there again, and honestly, we'd be very disappointed if it was booked and we couldn't stay again :) We've already recommended it to others, too! You won't be disappointed! Also: the neighborhood seemed totally safe and it was quiet, and there were people out everywhere walking their dogs, jogging, etc, so we also really liked the actual area where it was located, too!

Unbelievable view from the 2nd floor apartment (Ligia's own suite)! We were very lucky to have sunny clear weather for our entire 5 night stay, making the view every morning and evening spectacular. Ligia was extremely helpful and friendly as well Richard who stayed up to meet us upon arrival. The convenient transportation to Manhattan via bus or ferry was fantastic and affordable. Our days mostly included 10-12 hours away in Manhattan (walking) so our stay in the apartment was minimal. For the price, convenient location and spectacular postcard views I would highly recommend this property. The only "con" is the need for a thorough cleaning. There should not be a cleaning fee for the size of the dust bunnies throughout the apartment (my white socks were black every morning). With a little TLC this is definitely a 5 out of 5 and would recommend if location and view were the most important features required. Thanks (Ligia) for a memorable 50th birthday celebration!

Fantastic location with a breathtaking view, even better than the photos. Bus right out the front door only $3 and 15 mins to get to Manhattan & they run 24/7. Markets & shops only a few blocks away.

We recently stayed for 10 nights on the 3rd floor. We were here for the World Police Fire Games. The location was great for getting into NYC with the shuttle. The view of NYC are spectacular and we never got tired of it. The front porch is very spacious for a large group. This was a 1 bedroom apt not very spacious it had air conditioning which was very nice; a bath tub/ shower.. However, the apartment was very old and rundown looking. We felt it needed a good cleaning and we were very disappointed in its condition and with the grimy appearance. The table and furniture was old not up to date lots of dust needed a good cleaning. The floors around the edges of all the rooms had dust balls and crud lying under the lower counters in the kitchen. The window sills were grimy as was the kitchen sink. The owner, stayed on the premises but never once checked on us or asked how we were doing--other than saying hi when we ran into her t times during our 10 night stay. Her caretaker Richard, who had been quite helpful at the the start. oWe started out with clean towels then we had to ask for new clean towels that never came. So we washed them ourslefs. Overall, except for the great view of NYC, we do not recommend this apartment to anyone. The only accurate photos on the website were of the NYC skyline. Lots of stairs to climb to the 3rd floor tough when you have suitcases.....

We recently stayed for 10 nights in the owner's apartment on the 2nd floor. The location was great for getting into NYC with the shuttle. The views of NYC are spectacular and we never got tired of them. The downstairs front porch is very spacious for a large group. The 1 bedroom apt is very spacious and it has some nice amenities such as 2 large screen TV's; air conditioning; a nice big shower and a water dispenser in the large stainless steel fridge. However, the apartment was very tired and rundown looking. It needed a good cleaning and we were very disappointed in its condition and with the grimy appearance. The table tops and furniture tops were not properly dusted or cleaned. The floors around the edges of all the rooms had dust balls and crud lying under the lower counters in the kitchen. The window sills were grimy as was the kitchen sink and inside of the fridge had loads of crumbs--making for a very unsavoury experience. We had to clean up quite a bit before we could make use of some of the areas. The owner, also stayed on the premises but never once checked on us or asked how we were doing--other than saying hi when we ran into her 2 times during our 10 night stay. We were in the apt during Hurricane Irene (Aug/11) and as a result of the driving rain the roof in the living room and bedroom of the owner's apartment leaked badly. The owner didn't even come to check it out at any time while we were home. Her caretaker Richard, who had been quite helpful prior to this; had to be contacted at 3:00 am during the storm to help deal with the leaking roof. He was very concerned and apologetic at the time, but it took him over 3 days after the storm to come back and take away the buckets and towels that were used for catching the leaking roof (despite emailing and leaving a voice mail message with this request). Overall, except for the great view of NYC, and the shower, we do not recommend this apartment to anyone. The only accurate photos on the website were of the NYC skyline--as there were no photos of the 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights and were very comfortable there. The house was clean and well maintained. The view is just as advertised - spectacular. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch after a long day visiting the city. The park across the street that lines the boulevard on which the property sits is very pretty as well. We took the private bus into the city, boarding at a stop right in front of the house. It was a 15-min bus ride and we got off at the NYC Port Authority Bus Terminal. There was some confusion finding the private bus again at the end of the day in the city, so we took the NJ public bus on the return trip. If you aren't familiar with the Port Authority terminal, I suggest you take a few minutes to check it out before you go so you won't have to wander around looking for the bus at the end of the day. Overall we were very satisfied with our decision to stay at this property and would recommend it to our friends.

My BFF and I decided to go on a girls' getaway to NYC. We found this location and were not disappointed. We opted for the 1 bedroom and flipped to see who got the bedroom with its private porch. The pullout sofa, which never got pulled out was comfy. As with all the other reviews, we loved Richard. He was full of info. 1) Transportation via shuttle - correct 2) Shopping at Kiko's for groceries - correct 3) Shopping at Kiko's across from the grocery store for spirits - correct 4) Pizza at New Pizza on the Block - correct 5) Walk to Port Imperial for the ferry - correct (143 steps up/down several times) Richard is full of info on the house, neighborhood and NYC. Chat with him for 10 minutes and you wished you were staying more days. Ligia was very helpful with our pre-planning. Her notes were dead-on regarding the shuttle and getting to the house. We took the ferry ($9.00 one way) over to NYC. Free shuttles to most places once you get on the other side. I am into history and my BFF is an artist. Lots of history in Weehawken for poltics and prose. Beautiful parks, views in the neighborhood and artwork in the unit. The view of NYC is spectacular. There was a rainstorm and a brownout in NYC. We saw the lights go out and the lights beginning to come back on. Nice! Definitely a must do and you will love it!

Nous avons passé 2 semaines à New York inoubliables.
