Condo was in an excellent location even though bike week was going on. First time to South Carolina. The views were great!Ocean front!!! Lou(owner) called to make sure everything was fine upon our arrival.The property was clean,well-maintained. The bedrooms were of good size.The staff was exceptional. Since my return I have been recommending this as a vacation spot. We loved the food at the little restaurant downtown in Garden City and Murrels Inlet had great sea food. People in the area where really friendly. We are glad we did not stay in Myrtle Beach the area was way to touristy. Heavy traffic and becuz of bike week parking was $10 in downtown Myrtle Beach. Garden City Beaches were quite and serene. Great shopping in nearby towns, especially Litchfield. We will be back next May. I have to also say I met many of the bikers.Even when the traffic from the bikers were heavy by Murrels Inlet they were all courteous on their bikes.Even went to shop at the vendors that came down for bike week. All of them were friendly and helpful. Bought some nice silver jewelry from the vendors.All week I have been asked where I got my silver rings from. We also went to the crab fest in Little River it was great fun and I found many hand made items at the craft fair.

First I would like to thank the owner for renting his condo to my family. Vacation this year was the best i have ever had thanks to such a beautiful and well kept condo beautiful ocean view! I would love to rent this condo again we all just loved it it made our vacation a true and relaxing vacation. I would like to let the owner know that there was only one small problem but nothing that ruined our vacation : the microwave quit working our 5th night there . But we will gladly rent from you again and again. Thank you so much you made it worth while! ;] PS sent both sets of your keys back today.

Owner response:It is always very gratifying to see folks enjoy themselves while on vacation at out place. Too bad they didn't report the microwave incident. We didn't learn about it until the next renter cam in. The office brought in a temporary counter top microwave and the wall unit got repaired 1 day later.

After just returning home from this property, we have nothing but positive things to share and great memories on which to reflect. It was the peak season for Myrtle Beach/Garden City etc and yet while in the Atalaya Tower, we felt like it was a calm environment similar to the beach in early spring. I don't know how we lucked out regarding the weather, but I cannot recall a time at the beach where it did not rain once yet we got to experience that. The building was exactly how it 'sells' itself. The unit we rented exceeded the expectations we had. Our family enjoyed the famous seafood of Murrells Inlet, the low key energy of Garden City and all the sites and shops in Myrtle Beach. Our furniture was terrific. We've been elsewhere where the furniture did not allow much in the way of family time. This was not the case in this unit. Everyone found a comfy nook. My baby starts college in 2 weeks, and his elder brother begins his Junior year in college in less than 1 week. I do not know how many more family gatherings we will have like this; and this made it all the more special. There may be newer buildings along the beach, but in this instance you get more than what you pay for and that doesn't happen often in this world anymore. Thank you, Mike and Brenca

This was our first time in Garden City and probably not our last! We had 6 adults and 1 toddler stay very comfortably in this unit. It was spacious, clean, quiet and a NOT-very-crowded beach (even in mid June). Restaurants, stores and entertainment were all very close. The Garden City Pier was also a fun place to visit and was in walking distance in unable to drive. There was also a display of fireworks to watch from the balcony in the evenings. Could not have had a better time. We are from Pittsburgh, PA but have lived in SC for 11 yrs. We vacation every year with family from Pittsburgh at the beach and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed. Owner is extremely easy to work with and very accomodating.

Great Location and Great Vacation 6/11/2011

My family (7 adults, 1 toddler) spent the week at this condo and had a wonderful time. We have stayed next door to this building (Duneside) and two doors down and this building was far superior to those places. The beds were very comfortable and the unit is very roomy. The kitchen is very adequate for preparing meals and the barbeque area at the site is very nice. We were unsure how we would like being on the 16th floor, but we loved it. The view was breathtaking and we could sit on the sofa at night and see the fireworks that were being lit on the beach. The ocean waves breaking were very relaxing and could be heard from the master bedroom. This place was very clean, well maintained and I would highly recommend it and would definitely consider vacationing here again. The owner was very easy to work with and extremely attentive and prompt in his response. Could not have asked for a better experience!

A Best Value Accomodation in Garden City!

My wife, along with several other family members and friends took our week-long Labor Day vacation in this unit and absolutely loved it! The unit was very clean and everything in order (just as pictured and described) when we arrived, including ample towels and linens. The view from the living room and master bedroom balconies is one of the best (16th floor) in Garden City, and very private as well. We could lay in bed and hear the ocean every night and morning.....ahhhh! The unit is well furnished including the kitchen. Atalaya Towers has an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a hot tub and direct beach access along with a very nice sun deck. There are two high speed elevators to service all 17 floors and two parking spaces per unit. A security code is required to enter the building after hours, which is very nice. The staff at the Atalaya Towers office were super nice and very helpful to answer any questions and help us with any needs we might have. The owner is a very nice man to deal with and his telephone and email communication with us during the reservation process was timely and detailed. And...he even called us the morning after we arrived to make sure everything was in order with the unit. It's hard to beat customer service like that in this day and time! I definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great value in a Garden City accommodation. You get a very clean, fully furnished unit at one of the best prices on the beach; and with towels and linens furnished and cleanup on the way out!

fantastic condo, exactly as seen in the pictures. Very confortable, even if the temparature was of 105, we were very well in the unit. Nothing was missing, including all what was needed for the laudry, the dishes. For my first experience with home away, it was the top.

EXCELLENT CONDO

Our family stayed in late August and had a great time. Condo was very well kept,clean and had a gorgeous view. Very nice beach and easy to get around. Beach is not even a short walk. We have and will continue to tell everyone we know about this unit. We plan on returning next year. We have stayed at other places along the beach and like this unit the best. The owner is a great person and very helpful. Never had a problem with staff or with the elevators. Thank you for letting us stay !!!!!!!

Less than expected

After reading the only other review of this property, I was really expecting a "clean, well-kept" place to stay for our vacation. I was disappointed to find this rental to be less than clean, particularly in the kitchen, with some minor maintenance issues that needed attention. We enjoyed the Garden City area immensely and the owner was pleasant to work with. The unit does have spectacular views. We will definitely come back to Garden City.

Owner response:I was shocked to read that this particular renter had an issue with the cleansliness of this unit. I repeatedly receive comments when folks return the keys about how clean the place really is. The maintenance issues turned out to be a broken patio chair and a chair that needed repair in the kitchen. Both broken by the renter preceeding this renter!! All they had to do was let the manager of the property know and both would have been replaced immediately. And for that matter, had they left the manager know that they were not happy with the cleansliness of the kitchen, that also would have been addressed immediately. I checked with the manager and none of the stated issues were addressed. We pride ourselves on keeping a well stocked clean place and are proud of our response to maintenance issues and regret not getting that opportunity with this renter.
