We were so looking forward to using this property - but an impending hurricane derailed our travel plans and we were forced to cancel. The owner graciously refunded our fee due to this weather disaster and we greatly appreciate her willingness to do so.

Owner response: Giving a refund to you was the ethical thing to do when faced with a possible hurricane in the next few days and I am so sorry you were not able to spend time in Madeira Beach as it is such a wonderful vacation area.

The view from this condo is amazing. The condo is spotless and fully stocked with everything you could need during your stay. Very short walk to John's Pass. The beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and cooler provided were greatly appreciated. Very nice pool area as well with lots of chairs. BBQ's too are a nice plus. We enjoyed morning coffee watching the dolphins from the balcony and evenings watching the sunset and listening to the ocean. The onsite managers (Caron and John) were always available and very friendly. Thanks so much Carol - we can't wait to go back.

What a wonderful week we had. Caren greeted us and made us feel welcomed the minute we arrived. Your condo is exactly like the photos on the website. I loved everything -- the decor, the cleanliness, your organized kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. The shower in master bath is great. Really enjoyed coffee out on the balcony, people-watching, and those gorgeous sunset views. Since we're from Tampa and are familiar with the area, we went to local restaurants and John's Pass. We took my grandson to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores Beach. He really enjoyed being at the beach. We will definitely be back next year.

Carol your condo was perfect! It had everything we hoped for and more. The managers were awesome to deal with. Location was great, close to John's Pass, lots of restaurants close by. The view from the balcony was breathtaking! We watched the dolphins swim by every day. The condo was furnished and decorated beautifully and so clean you could smell the freshness when you opened the door. We loved the covered area on the ground level. It was great one evening when we had some rain passing through, we sat there while our husbands bbq. We were traveling with 3 other families who had condos booked in this building as well. All of our group were so happy with their accommodations. You can see the owners take great pride in their condos. Collwood is a wonderful building!!! We have stayed at many condos in the past in the same area and we would rate Collwood at the top of the list. We will definitely be returning. Thanks again Carol and Ian for being so great to deal with! See you again soon!

This condo is exactly as it appears in the photos: clean and beautiful! It was equipped with everything we needed, just like home. They even had beach chairs and a cooler which made our days at the beach wonderful. The condo is located right on the beach with a great view and a huge pool with plenty of seating. We walked to John's pass daily for shopping, dinner, or just to get coffee. There are a number of wonderful restaurant's and small-town eateries. If you want to stay busy, you can parasail, jet-ski, or go on a chartered fishing boat or dolphin quest. We watched the sunset from the beach or our balcony every night. We will definitely return in the future!

Our family had a great time in this very well kept Condo. We will definitly plan another visit. The onsite managers were very helpful and nice. I loved the fact that it was walking distance to John's Pass. The beach was very clean and the sand was a beautiful white colour. Amazing.

Carol, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo! It was so clean, comfortable and very beachy!! It was very well stocked with everything you need to enjoy the beach and all the comforts of home! Loved the view and having windows in the showers! What a neat surprise! We saw many beautiful sunsets and plenty of dolphins and stingrays! Great sites to see! Your condo was absolutely lovely and the grounds were so clean and well taken care of!! We spent two wonderful weeks at this condo and it was perfect. More than enough room for six people (including two children). It was very clean and well-stocked. Loved the tile floors and the fact that there were towels, umbrellas, chairs, etc for the beach. The building was small so not a lot of people at the pool which was nice. Would definitely return but for a longer period of time. Thank you for sharing your "home". Betty

I have been staying at the Collwood for many years now. The apartment is clean and well managed. Each year when you arrive there is always a change, this year new bedding and a huge TV in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom. It’s great to wake up in the morning to the sound of the ocean and even nicer having your breakfast on the balcony watching the beach come to life. It’s so restful. The apartment is in a great location, lots of fine restaurants and great shopping all around you. You won’t go wrong if you choose this apartment.

Better Than A Cruise Ship

My friend and I are from Chicago and recently stayed at this property in May of 2011. It was awesome! It was just like being on a cruise ship without the seasickness. I woke up every morning enjoying my breakfast out on the large balcony overlooking the beautiful gulf with white sands. Property was immaculate and very well managed. The condo is packed with everything you could possibly need and very spacious. Next time we will book for a longer visit. We didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this property and area. Excellent restaurants and sites are just minutes away. You will not be disappointed!

We had a most enjoyable two weeks in this beautiful condo. Everything was as described. The building, property and pool area are immaculate! The onsite managers (Caren and John) are so kind and helpful. The area and beaches are beautiful. The view from the balcony is fantastic both day and night. We will definitely be coming back again. Carol was a pleasure to deal with, which made arranging our trip easy. She was quick to respond to any questions we had about booking the condo. All the postive reviews made booking this condo an easy decision.

What a gem!!

We came to St. Petersburg for the Beef O'Brady's Bowl game during the week of December 18. I was very lucky to be able to rent this lovely condo for our stay. The building is very quiet, secure, and the condo is the most well equipped we've ever had the pleasure of experiencing! (Seriously people, when have you EVER had more hangers for clothing than you could use - AND BEACH CHAIRS?!!) Furnishings and decor are tasteful and frankly, gorgeous! The extra large bar/counter top in the kitchen area was fantastic, and I also realized you have enough seating for 10 for a meal, although we only had four! Another great perk is the ability to walk five minutes to all the shops and restaurants at John's Pass - great for older kids who don't have to ask "mom can I borrow the car?" We went for a beach walk every day, and found horseshoe crab shells, lots of mussel shells, coral, general shells galore, and the biggest and fattest seagulls I've ever seen - clearly these guys are eating well! We also had coffee on the balcony and had the pleasure of seeing dolphins and even parasailing on a nicer weather day. A restaurant at John's Pass called the Friendly Fisherman actually had dolphins swimming just outside the boardwalk. Amazing that I could actually use the pool on the 20th of December! Thank you Carol - we will definitely be renting again in the near future!!

Carol, you go girl! The place gets better every time we visit, this year my sister and I decided to go together (no kids, hubbies) It was great, we relaxed, shopped, swam, walked to beach and were generally really lazy...which we realized was exactly what we needed. Your place is soooo clean and confortable we enjoyed lounging around, went to John's Pass a few times. You know we will be back again and again, without a doubt. Thanks again! JoAnn & Cheryl

Thank-you Carol and Ian for the letting us stay in your wonderful condo. We had all we needed plus some! All the little things added up like the filtered water in the fridge,the cooler, the chairs, beach toys...We enjoyed all the room and the huge balcony. I saw dolphins several mornings! We loved being so close to John's pass and the Candy Kitchen-my kids personal favorite! The managers, John and Karen,were so helpful and friendly. Hi Carol, I just wanted to let you know that my family and I truly enjoyed staying in your condo. The view and sunsets were breathtaking. My daughter loved the fluffy, white sand. While we were in Daytona Beach, Fl, that beach had very hard, packed-down, wet sand. We played volleyball, flew a kite and soaked up the sun. It was awesome seeing dolphins, sting rays and crabs at night on the beach. We found a few neat seashells also. You had everything we could have possibly needed in your condo. It was very warm and welcoming. The five of us were very comfortable. Our favorite part of the condo was the balcony and sitting out there enjoying the breeze, especially at night when a storm rolled in and lightning lit up the sky over the water. Thanks again for your kindness. We appreciate everything!

Well Carol and Ian, I'm hesitant to add my comments here, since it could very well mean that it will make it harder to book your wonderful condo in the future, but I must give this place its due, so let me just say that your condo is perfection. Delicious, welcoming, relaxing perfection. You have equipped your condo with every conceivable thing that a vacationer could need. Dear Carol and Ian: Thank you. We spent a wonderful week in your condo July 5-12, 2008. The first time we stayed in your condo was in November 1992 and each time we return, we fall in love all over again. Your condo offers all the comforts of home along with breathtaking views of a beautiful, white, sandy beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with our morning coffee, enjoyed watching the magnificent sunsets, and of course, enjoyed watching the dolphins play (always breathtaking). We spent alot of time at the beach. Your umbrella and chairs were great. Pool was also a plus. Went to Universal studios. Fun was had by all. Strolled down to John's Pass. Had some great meals at various restaurants - Lobster Pot, Carraberras, Sam Seltzers, to name a few. Great pizza at Gino's. My favourite part - listening to the gentle sounds of the surf. Thank you again. Looking forward to next time.

Carol, We have enjoyed your condo for 2 years in a row, and we are looking forward to the 3rd year in October. We had spent alot of time researching different condos, and with yours have definitely found every thing we wanted. A great sunset view, right on the gulf, just the right floor-not too low-not too high (we have to be able to see the dolphins), 180 degree view of the beach, not too far to the water. And that is just the outside. Having the on-site managers is a great asset. There is everything that we have ever needed in the condo. It has always been spotless and very well maintained. hi carol your condo is the best at collwood we enjoy our holiday in it every year but this one 2007 i spent my 40th birthday in florida weather was good up til easter then had a thunder storm and rain a few but other than that the dry hot weather was great but had a fantastic holiday as we do every year and lok forward to spending our holiday there in 2008 again for march/april sally

Carol, Our family of four had a wonderful time in your condo the week of February 3 - 10, 2007! Though the weather could have been a bit warmer, we were completely comfortable in your condo! It was a fantastic view of the beach, including sunrises and sunsets! We could sit on the balcony at all hours of the day to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We even saw dolphins jumping in the water! The building was nice, clean, safe and quiet. There were a few families with young kids like us. And we made tons of friends down at the pool! I would definitely recommend your condo to anybody I know. It's very clean and comfy. It has all the comforts of home! It was a nice bonus to have the beach toys and chairs down at the beach entrance. And the beach was almost all ours - it wasn't crowded at all! We also loved that the condo was so close to John's Pass and the Candy Kitchen, which we always have to go to at least once before we leave! We would definitely love to stay in your condo again!

Carol and Ian We had a wonderful vacation at your condo in January 2007. The weather was perfect. Your Condo is beautiful and it will be recommend to all our friends. We found your place was equiped with everything we needed and more. It was so nice to have breakfast on the balcony and watch the dolphins play. Our long walks on the beach were perfect. It was so convient to walk to many excellent resturants and to the stores at John's Pass. We especially liked the live entertainment nightly at the Beer Gardens just before John's Pass. We met lots at people at the pool and used the B.B.Q.'s many times. There is certainly a lot to do both for old and young. John's pass has so many activies such as Para Sailing, Dinner cruses, Sailing and many boat tours, just mentiona few. We will definately be back. The Nymans from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
