Save big and stay Christmas week. The snow is here and there's plenty waiting for you in Winter Park, Colorado! The village is now open daily, the free shuttle runs right outside our parking lot with direct access to the base at Winter Park. If skiing and riding isn't enough, be sure to check out the brand new Fraser Valley Recreation Center which is 1/4 mile from our door! The kids will love the indoor pool complete with water features, a slide, lazy river and hot tub/steam room/sauna. There's even a daycare on site should you want to take advantage of the workout facilities, indoor track, cardio equipment and classes.
Just a 1/4 mile off Main Street and along the free shuttle bus route to the Villages, is our 1300 square foot, two-level townhome. We are a short walk to town (5 minutes) and an even shorter walk to hiking trails, frisbee golf and Wolf Park, where in the summer there's picnic areas, a playground, tennis & basketball courts and plenty of open space.
We just remodeled and upgraded our kitchen. You'll enjoy all new appliances, new cabinets and granite countertops in our spacious kitchen. Other renovations were completed in November 2006 and include new carpet and paint throughout, new 1/2 bath upstairs, master bath with new double sinks and guest bath. We also completed a new dining room floor, kitchen floor and lighting as well as an enclosed sunroom and new outdoor patio which is fantastic in the warmer months. High Speed Wireless Internet is also available!
We think our townhome is the ideal place to be. It's 1300 square feet, with vaulted ceilings upstairs. You'll find the full kitchen (with a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator) and dining area, a sun room, 1/2 bath and large family room with a stone fireplace, and an "L" shaped couch, while the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, along with your very own private hot tub. There is a new washer and dryer in the unit as well. Our entertainment center hosts a 36-inch cable TV, DVD player, Play Station, and stereo.
The master bedroom has an inviting King size bed, a couch for relaxing, an attached private bath, and access to the hot tub room. The second bedroom boasts a twin over full log bunkbed and hallway bath. Downstairs also has a mud room with additional access to the hot tub room and a washer/dryer unit.
Winter Park & Mary Jane are a skier and riders paradise. The free shuttle picks up right outside our driveway and departs every :15 in the winter. It takes you right to the base. If skiing or riding isn’t your thing, snowmobiling tours, snowshoe hikes, scenic chairlift rides, a tubing hill, ice skating, sleigh rides, dog sled rides and a hot springs are right in our backyard! We can arrange any and all of your activities throughout your stay.
The new village at the base of Winter Park is 5 miles from town and has brand new restaurants and shops, an ice skating rink and always something fun going on. Don't forget to indulge at nearby Devils Thumb Ranch. The Ranch Spa is an incredible place to unwind after a day enjoying their miles of nordic trails!
The summer is also an incredible time to visit Winter Park. Winter Park is the mountain bike capital with over 600 miles of trails. You can hook your bike right up to the chairlift for a scenic ride up and take numerous trails down, or you can carve your own path! Other than biking in the summer, you can choose from plenty of hiking trails, horseback riding, river rafting, a rodeo series, and world class fishing and summer music festivals. Rocky Mountain National Park is only 45 minutes away and Grand Lake is within 30 minutes of Winter Park.
