Originally built in the 1840's the cabin was moved from Kentucky and modernized in 2000. The cabin's home is now in this secluded spot on Cave Creek in Ozarks Mountain Country found in Newton County, Arkansas.
Our breathtaking view of Cave Creek and its beautiful limestone cliffs, make sitting on the porch or patio a delight. When you are ready for some activity, there is a swimming hole with a sandy beach on the creek, or you can fish the stream for small mouth bass and perch. Hiking, cave exploring, mountain biking, four-wheeling, and magnificent star gazing are available right on the property. The birdwatching is great, and you may even be lucky enough to see a bald eagle at the right time of year. Elk are often sited in the area around Cave Creek and the Buffalo River Valley.
Our smoke-free cabin sleeps 17 people. We have three bunk beds (5 twins and one double) in the walk out basement with full bath, a perfect place for the kids. There is no phone, but cell reception is good. The remote solitude of our secluded cabin is what draws people to Cave Creek. There are board games and a TV/DVD/VCR to keep the kids happy. There is no cable, so please bring your favorite movies or watch some of ours. We have provided a variety of paperback books for those who like a good read. In cooler months, relax in front of the crackling fireplace (bring your own firewood) to restore your soul... |
