Villa Farentinos is located in the peaceful village of Komitata, which is perched atop an imposing prominence in the northeastern region of Kefalonia. The villa has a spectacular, unobstructed view of the Strait of Ithaca and adjacent islands to the east. The mainland of Greece is also visible in the distance.
The Farentinos family has lived on the Island of Kefalonia for hundreds of years. As a testament to this long history, one giant olive tree on the family estate is said to be over 900 years old, and it is still producing olives!
Bob Farentinos, present owner and custodian of the estate, has continued the family legacy by reviving existing olive groves, adding new plantings of olive trees, and refurbishing the original, three-bedroom family home, "Villa Farentinos," now available as a unique vacation rental. Outside, a beautiful wooden pergola covers the large patio adjacent to the kitchen, and a wide balcony with traditional wrought iron railing surrounds the entire home. Fig, walnut, and quince trees as well as decorative shrubs and flowers grow on the grounds of the villa.
Only minutes away from the crystal-clear, village coves of Agia Sofia and Horgota Beach, Villa Farentinos offers quiet seclusion in an authentic village setting, yet quick access to the nearby resort towns and beaches of Agia Efimia, Assos, Myrtos, and Fiskardo.
