  Our holidays in Greece are finished... We have spent very nice holidays!!! Drepano is perfectly located to visit all the archaelogical sites. We appreciated the sea and the SUUUN!! We liked the good wine of Nemea! We will keep a good souvenir of Greece. Thank you for your hospitality.

  We have enjoyed the spacious and well-equipped flat and found Drepano a fascinating village. We were treated like family friends at the supermarket and the bakery of the village, and that contributed greatly to our enjoyment. March is a good time to visit-comfortably warm with wonderful flowers and blossom.

  We rented Luxury Villa #91469 for the month of Oct. 2009. The living room/kitchen/dining area was very spacious. The kitchen was well supplied and there was plenty of wardrobe space in the bedrooms. The bathroom had a bathtub and handheld shower. Anything extra we needed was provided very quickly. We really appreciated having a washing machine, a drying rack, ironing board, iron and hairdryer at our disposal. The location was fabulous for sightseeing around the Peloponnese. We did day trips to Olympia, Epidavros, Mystra, Sparta, Monemvasia, Ancient Corinth, Hydra (by boat) and Athens (by train). The scenery and the history were fascinating. We enjoyed the excellent Greek food in restaurants in Drepano, Nafplio and Tolo. Nafplio was a shopper's paradise and Tolo also had a number of good shops. We found good grocery shops in both Drepano and Nafplio. We made good use of the internet in Drepano and sometimes were able to use our Netbook from our balcony. Alma Rent-A-Car (recommended by Maria) were reasonably priced and the staff were always accommodating and helpful. A car is necessary to see the Peloponnese. However if you wished to spend your time just at the beach, you could manage without a car. Drepano Beach is within walking distance and Tolo Beach is a very short drive. The Greek people everywhere were friendly and helpful. The generosity of our hosts Christina, Maria and Dimitrious will never be forgotten. We enjoyed a number of marvelous Greek dishes cooked for us by Christina. We wished we could bring her home with us. Maria & Dimitious also provided with various Greek goodies and lots of information. When Olympic Airline quit flying to Germany, Dimitrious helped us obtain new flights with Aegean. The success of this holiday was mainly due to a great location and our wonderful hosts. Ruth & Allan from Canada

• A perfect vacation in Drepano

  After more than two weeks here in Drepano we are heading home to colder Norway. We have had wonderful time here! Looking back, we have spent most of our time by the sea at the Plaka beach, every day with perfect, hot summer weather. The apartment was new and very well equipped. The terrace has been our main room. The awnings were perfect to keep the terrace cool. We had many of our meals there, and from the terrace we have watched life on the street under, and during daylight we enjoyed the view to the citrus fields and sea. We had most of our dinners in the taverns in the Drepano village. Fantastic atmosphere! Tasty, simple, inexpensive Greek traditional courses served with the hospitality Greece is famous for. Unlike the resort places, Drepano is real Greece, how we dreamed it should be! Drepano is also a perfect starting point for excursions to ancient places on the Peloponnese. We have visited some, but hope to see more on our next trip back here. Lastly, but not least, thank you Maria and Dimitris for your friendliness, kindness and hospitality. You made us feel welcome immediately and during our stay you have been the best hosts to have. All five of us have enjoyed the vacation here and we hope we soon can return to Drepano, and hopefully to the same apartment.

  My family of 5 adults stayed in the apartment for 10 days in July 2008, and we loved it, although this is not a place for those who enjoy typical crowded cosmopolitan resorts full of pubs, discos, night clubs etc. But for those looking forward to a holiday in Greece as it really is and among Greeks, this apartment is a perfect choice. Sure, there are some holiday-makers around, but those are mostly Athenians who come there for weekends as well as longer holidays, as the drive from Athens taked just over 2 hours on really good roads. Comfortably designed and furnished with exquisite taste, the place is exceptionally well-maintained, clean, spacious yet cosy. All the comforts promised on the web are there and more, and it can easily accomodate 6 adults (although some might find just one bathroom for 6 a bit of a problem - we expected some problems there, but surprisingly we did not really miss a second bathroom at all). The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and the village is charming, with a little square and a few tavernas serving delicious Greek food at affordable prices. Everything you need is right there at the village, so you can do all your shopping there and cook at home, or eat out without going bankrupt, which we did and - needless to say - enjoyed immensely. And for fish and seafood lovers, fish tavernas in Vivari (some 4 km from Drepano) are not to be missed. The beach is within walking distance, although I would recommend a car to go to other beaches in the area as well as for sightseeing. Nafplio, Myceane, Epidauros are a must and half-day trips can easily be made from Drepano, enabling you to return in time for a relaxing swim, which everyone will appreciate after hours of sightseeing in the heat. We rented a car at Athens airport and returned it there, which was perfect, although Drepano can be reached by public transport as well (by bus to Nafplio and then by taxi/bus). Taxis are also available in Drepano, so if you suddenly feel like going a place full of tourists, you can be in Tolo in 10 minutes. Well, summing up, for those of you who decide to stay at this lovely apartment in charming Drepano - I hope you enjoy your vacation as much as we did. As for us, we are bound to go back there as soon as we can. We have been to Greece at least 10 times, including to all the main islands, and we have always been happy with our holiday in Greece, but now my grown-up kids just don't want to hear about going anywhere else but Drepano!
