This is a spectacular, Charleston Style 4-bedroom, 5.5 bath, "Pet Friendly" rental home with heated pool on Hilton Head Island. It was used as a model home and as a result is one of the most luxuriously decorated rental homes in Hilton Head.

The entire main level has saturnia floors with ten-foot high ceilings and boasts an open kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and breakfast bar. The great room includes a cast-stone gas fireplace with custom bookcases on each side. A 42-inch television is included with accompanying DVD. The gourmet dining area seats six and has a view of the lagoon with fountain.

The first floor bedroom features recessed trey ceiling lighting, a queen-size bed, his-and-her chaise lounges, and an armoire with TV and VCR. The private bath has an incredible dresser sink and saturnia tiled shower.

Two of the second floor bedrooms could be called 'master' with one having a king-size bed and the other a queen. The third upstairs bedroom has two bunk beds with trundles, which could serve as sleeping quarters for children or a couple of adults. Each of the upstairs bedrooms features trey ceilings with recessed lighting, private baths with saturnia tile showers, and spa tubs. There are TVs and DVD players in each bedroom. A hallway breakfast/cocktail bar and laundry room with granite counter tops finish off the third floor.

For added comfort and convenience, there is a ceiling fan in each room and a whole-house speaker system with controls in each room, on the decks and by the pool. The fenced-in pool level has an outside and inside shower as well as a gas grill. The pool can be heated for an additional charge.

This mid-island location places you close to all Hilton Head has to offer. Directly across the street is the new 70-acre Town Park - the only public park on Hilton Head Island. It features ball parks, walking trails, tennis and basketball courts and, yes, a fenced dog park for our four-legged friends. There is a free shuttle service to and from the beach. Or if you prefer, the walk is just a few hundred yards. You must see this home to truly believe its beauty and convenience.

  • My wife, mother-in-law, and dog (Wellington, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) just spent one week at 5 Henry Lane (May 07). We have not done vacation rentals before, but this may have turned our perspective around. The house was beautiful - outside and in. Every amenity was available in the house, and the landscaping and interior design were luxurious to say the least. I wholeheartedly recommend 5 Henry Lane - especially if you have a small dog. The value we received for our visit was unparalleled.

  • I have never been so impressed. This place is fit for a queen or king. It looks like the decorator model for a million dollar subdivision. The people who own the place our so nice and helpful. You will feel like royality and this is the nicest place I have stayed in 20 years on the island. Thumbs up to these owners and thumbs up to the staff for a clean and well stocked home.
