Big Sticks Lodge is a hand-built, HEAVY TIMBER, log home that you will truly feel a taste of the past in! All the modern conveniences that you are accustomed to are there, including a 53-inch TV and stereo system. There is also a separate laundry room.
The lower-level family room area includes a brand-new pool table. There are also two full-sized famous celebrities in the family room that are there for your viewing enjoyment 24/7.
OK, OK - one is a reproduction of Marilyn Monroe, and the other is Elvis with his full-sized guitar!
This area is complete with a soda fountain table and chairs!
This is not only a vacation destination, but it is a trip into the past!
The lower family room also has two sofas (one is a sleeper) and a large easy chair. There is a separate three-fourths bath, and a separate bedroom with queen-size log bed, as well.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a huge, king-size, log bed. The bunk room has two sets of twin log bunk beds, and there is a separate full bath. (All log beds are hand built locally and out of Black Hills pine.) The living area has leather furniture, and a sofa sleeper next to the propane fireplace. The large eat-in country kitchen is well equipped and will be a delight for the most eager chefs! This is a high-quality construction home with high-quality furnishings.
The huge upper porch is covered, and has two patio sets for outdoor eating enjoyment or relaxing. There are also many hand crafted log swings and benches for your book reading delight. There is also a covered porch on the lower ground level.
There are also picnic tables throughout the two-plus acres. Heck, you do not need to go to a park; "Big Sticks" is located in one!
"Big Sticks" is located at the end of a lane, directly bordering national forest. Horse stables and rentals are within walking distance.
DIRECTIONS: Located west of Custer where the road turns north. Take the first turn where you see a pine tree with one branch missing on the left side of the road. Follow that road to the first "Y," and bear right, where there is two rocks stacked on top of each other. Follow that road until you see a patch of white wild daisies, and turn left. Follow it over the hill, and you are almost there! (Just kiddin' - we will give you better directions when you are ready!)
You may find it hard to believe that this property offers all of these memorable benefits. Plus, and most importantly, is that you do not share it with anyone. It is a two-plus-acre, high quality, wilderness residence that we are willing to let you use during your vacation, AS LONG as you love, respect, and care for this property as much as we do.
