By far the best house we have ever rented on vacation. It's in a great location with the beach and board walk only two blocks away, although we spent all but one day in the amazing backyard. Beautiful landscaping and pool. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. Can't wait until next summer to hopefully go back again.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This house was absolutely beautiful and the landlord was a pleasure to deal with! The house was wonderful and not just some regular trashy rental, the house was fully stocked which made the week amazing. Very close to the beach and had the perfect view for the fireworks from the backyard. The icing on the cake was the HEATED in ground pool in the yard. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a good time down the shore.

You know when you rent someone else's property your always afraid when you get there it's not going to be clean or what you expected. Well you don"t need to worry about that with this cottage rental. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. The location is great, within walking distance to all. The house is very clean (the kind you aren't afraid to walk on the floors in bare feet) . You can tell that MaryEllen takes care of this cottage just by the condition when you get there. The pool is so clean, it is a wonderful treat when you come back from the hot beach to take a refreshing swim or before you go to bed for the evening.. My family found me every morning floating in the pool with my morning coffee. It is the perfect house for a relaxing getaway with your family. Rent this cottage you won't be sorry.

We loved the proximity of this house to the boardwalk and beach. It was very convenient with two little ones. The parking is a godsend. The house is very well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. You can't go wrong with this property. It is in walking distance to everything.

August 2009 - Point Pleasant Beach was a great place to spend a week with our family - something for everyone. The house was clean and nicely decorated, which added to our enjoyment. Everyone was grateful for the beautiful pool as our week was hot and sunny. We took some amazing pictures on the beach as hurricane Bill moved up the coast. The sunrise and 12 foot waves were breathtaking - all within a few minute walk from the house. Thank you, Mary Ellen for your part in creating a special summer memory.

The owner has done an excellent job of offering comfortable amenities and features. Comfortably air conditioned, wonderfully maintained pool and easy access to the beach and marina. The restaurant next door has been around for 60 years and attracts a decent crowd - no problems with noise. Truly a unique gem in the area and a pleasure to return to the pool after getting battered by the sun and waves.

As a Maryland native I had never been to the New Jersey shore. This was perfect. I am a senior citizen and this house had everything I could want. The bedroom on the first floor was perfect for me and my daughter was able to have a room upstairs each with our own flatscreen television. We enjoyed lazy days lounging in the gorgeous backyard pool and I was able to take the short walk to stroll on the boardwalk. One of my favorite things to do was relax on the front porch and watch the beautiful sunsets. Maryellen was so gracious answering all of my questions and as an out of towner there were many. I look forward to returning and would recommend the house to anyone looking to have it all.

Charming beach cottage, with great location to beach, boardwalk and inlet. This is a great house for families. There is nothing like coming home from a long day at the beach to take a refreshing dip in the beautiful inground pool. The backyard is peaceful, private and has a great view of the Thursday night firewoks.

This cozy home is walking distance to everything. We watched fireworks from the back yard and loved the heated, private fenced in pool. Inlet fishing is a short walk across the street,the boardwalk only two blocks, how convenient. I'm looking to rent this place sgain next year. Can't beat the location, parking, facilities, and the privacy.

I have rented this house every summer for the past four years and can't wait to come back this year. The house is a dream. From the screened in porch, perfect to watch the beautiful sunsets, to the newly renovated kitchen it has all the comforts of home. We could walk to the boardwalk and spend a day at the beach and come home in the evening and enjoy dinner in the huge backyard complete with a gas grill and lots of seating. This summer will be even better because we will be able to take a dip in the new in ground pool. I can't say enough about Maryellen, the owner, she is gracious and available anytime to answer questions or give us tips on the best restaurants. I give this rental two thumbs up.
