Why the Owner Chose Balboa Peninsula
The Pacific Ocean never gets old! We love watching waves, seagulls, pelicans and dolphins. The perfect spot for morning coffee and sunset walks. Park your car, walk to shopping, restaurants and endless recreation. Ride a bike to the Wedge for a picnic or stroll over to Balboa Island for lunch.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Walking along the Pacific Ocean accompanied by porpoises, pelicans and sea gulls is a delight --especially at sunset.

We stayed my wife and I two weeks in Christmas and New year. Perfect location, clean and comfortable, nice owners extend all possible help as needed. Photos represent reality, even second bedroom has a bunk bed and another single bed. Working BBQ and appliances we enjoyed grilling some salmon over there. Perfect water pressure, high speed wireless Internet, no designated parking spot but we never had a problem parking our vehicle. Wonderful vacation thanks to the owners.
Owner response:Providing a satisfactory visit for visitors is our goal and it is so nice to learn we're achieving our goal!

We spent a weekend here in early December to celebrate "Thanksmas" with our son and daughter-in-law. Everything was wonderful, and it was even decorated for the holidays complete with a Christmas tree! We invited other West Coast family to a dinner Sunday afternoon, and the condo accommodated us all very well. The property was clean, well-maintained, and just as described. We will definitely try to return and will recommend it to others.
Owner response:So glad your family could enjoy the patio! It is great for entertaining!

The owners were wonderful and made my stay even more enjoyable by offering suggestions and being available for questions about the area. I have stayed in Newport for years and this was the first time I didn't rent right on the water.I was surprised that I liked it even better. No crowds! It is a quiet area very near to both the ocean and the bay. I was within walking distance to the pier, restaurants, and the ferry. What I enjoyed was the solitude once back in the condo. I had beautiful weather the whole time too. My stay was very soothing because you could still hear the ocean waves at night and walk a short distance to the end of the block to view the boats in the bay. I plan to return often to this perfect rental.

Our goal was to escape the heat of the inland empire for a week and Joy of joys we did just that. My Husband, sister and I enjoyed our great walks and the cool temps. Great restaurants are close and our only job was to relax, read and eat. A great Jazz concert evening topped the final night. Kit and Pete are great and we thank them for this wonderful experience. I know we will try to repeat it next summer.

We stayed here for our spring break in March of 2010 and were very pleased! The unit is very clean and spacious (plenty of room for two adults and two teens) and well equipped with everything you need for a fun vacation, at a really bargain price for the area. Based on previous reviews I had worried a bit about parking but the farthest away we ever had to get was two very short blocks, and in general we parked within a few spaces of our door. Killer location, too! 5-minute walk to the beach, a half hour drive from the Disney parks, and maybe 1.5 h to LA or SD. The owner was very sweet and were actually on-site, which would be useful in the event of an emergency.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind words!

We had a wonderful time staying at Kit and Pete's beach bungalow... the house was lovely and they were both accomodating and helpful. The location is perfect for the person who loves the Ocean and the life at Balboa Island. We would recommend this location and plan on returning to our home away from home. Balboa Island and Balboa Pier are within walking distance. Disneyland is about half an hour away!

The unit is very cute and clean and the size was quite adequate. It's a few houses up from the bay and a short walk to the ocean. The owner is very helpful and accomodating. Street parking is problematic on Mondays and Tuesdays because of street cleaning but you can get a decent spot if you don't arrive too late.
