Enjoy a romantic weekend for two or bring family and friends for a week of enjoying nature at its best! This cabin has everything needed to have a wonderfully restful vacation or more activities and games than you can finish in a week! Our years of renting vacation homes from others has taught us what we wanted to include in our dream vacation home.
We purchased this cabin because of its awesome location. It is in the gated Coosawattee River Resort with all the amenities, yet it is secluded, on a stream, with views of the BEAUTIFUL NORTH GEORGIA MOUNTAINS of Ellijay. We filled it with books, movies, board games, puzzles, a POOL TABLE, a FOOSBALL TABLE, a card table, and more to give you plenty of reasons to never want to leave.
Sit on the WRAPAROUND PORCH and rock away your stress, watching the squirrels jump from tree to tree, listening to the rumble of water rushing over the rocks in the stream below. Or sit in the comfortable SUNROOM off the master bedroom, and use the binoculars to watch the colorful birds. And do not be surprised to see several deer while you are here!
And if you want a more active vacation, you can take advantage of all the resort amenities, INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOLS, tennis courts, basketball, MINIATURE GOLF, hiking trails, FISHING, canoeing, tubing down the river, a WORKOUT CENTER, arcade, and much more.
Then come back to the cabin and have a picnic by the STREAM and take a nap in the HAMMOCK. Ellijay also has many antique stores to explore, and special events throughout the year, fall festivals, craft shows, car shows, and, of course, you will have to get apples at one of the many apple orchards. And don't miss the huge NORTH GEORGIA APPLE FESTIVAL in Ellijay the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October.
This cabin has beautiful PINE FLOORS, CEILINGS, AND WALLS, original artwork, antiques, and many special touches throughout. The large, fully-equipped kitchen opens into the living room, with full windows overlooking the mountainside, as you warm your feet by the GAS LOG STOVE. There are THREE BEDROOMS, two have a queen size bed and one has a full size bed. Two of the bedrooms are on the main level with the kitchen and living room and a TV/DVD.
The other bedroom is downstairs with a romantic electric log stove and satellite TV. There are TWO FULL BATHS, one with a JETTED TUB on the main level and another downstairs with a tub/shower combination. This cabin has 2200sq ft of living space, plenty of room for a big family or 2 couples going on vacation together.
And something special for the young ones (or just young at heart!), there is a separate room just for those who love camping, but hate the bugs and the outhouses! We have created a room just for you, with a PITCHED TENT, complete with a full-size mattress, fluorescent stars on the ceiling, and the sounds of frogs croaking, without leaving the comforts of home! The tent room and two large game rooms are downstairs, so Mom and Dad will be close by.
We have equipped the cabin with two TVs, one upstairs and one downstairs, with 120 satellite DirectTV channels, DVD player and movies, CD stereo, alarm clocks with radio and nature sounds in each bedroom, a hair dryer, and full-size washer/dryer. The FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN has your dishes, pots and pans, utensils, full-size refrigerator with ice maker, gas stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher as well as a 12-cup coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster oven, and can opener.
