Come enjoy southern hospitality at its finest! Salty Dawg is a cottage style home located on the south side of scenic Highway 30A in beautiful Blue Mountain Beach. Blue Mountain Beach is a quiet, relaxing community located approximately 15 miles west of Panama City Beach and 10 miles east of Destin. Enjoy the same gorgeous beaches and crystal clear water as Panama City Beach and Destin without all the crowd and congestion!

Salty Dawg is located within a short walk of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf coast! There is no need to cross (or access) Highway 30-A because our cottage is located on the same cul-de-sac as the beach access. If you would rather not walk, take our golf cart, or use our bikes, free of charge! Use our complimentary beach chairs, umbrella and sand toys (for the kids) to maximize your beach experience. Take a book from our library to relax and unwind in the gulf breezes during your stay. Enjoy all the comforts of home in our fully furnished beach cottage. We've thought of everything, so you don't have to!

Relax on the rocking chairs or porch swing under the ceiling fans on the front porch. Enjoy the Florida sunshine on the back deck while using the charcoal grill. The outdoor shower on the back porch allows you to rinse off after a fun day at the beach!

The interior of Salty Dawg features a master bedroom on the main/first floor with a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, flat screen TV/DVD combo and a master bath equipped with double vanities and a jetted tub. The main floor also has a fully equipped kitchen with pantry, and a separate dining area. The den with vaulted ceiling contains a sleeper sofa, ceiling fan and an entertainment center with a large screen tv, DVD player, CD stereo system and board games. Also on the ground floor is a full-size washer and dryer, along with a half bath.

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms. To the left is the "Palm Tree Room," containing a full bed, dresser, flat screen tv with satellite receiver, DVD player and ceiling fan. To the right is the "Starfish Room," containing a queen bed, flat screen tv with satellite receiver, DVD player and ceiling fan. Toward the front of the second level is the "Kids Room," equipped with a day bed (with trundle pull out bed underneath) and our personal library for your enjoyment during your stay. The beach chairs, umbrella and sand toys can be found in the storage area in this room. Also located upstairs is a full bathroom for added convenience.

Golfers challenge your skills at over a dozen golf courses in the area (the closest of which is less than two miles away)! Do you like to fish? Destin provides some of the best sport fishing in the Sunshine State just ten miles from our door! Do you like to shop? Silver Sands outlet stores and Destin Commons are a shopper's paradise just a ten minute drive from Salty Dawg. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Seaside community and their world renowned restaurants (just five miles away). Bikers will love the paved bike paths along the entire eighteen and one-half mile length of Highway 30A and the eastern lake trail system at the state park nearby. Take in one of the spring/summer outdoor concerts at Seaside or Gulf Place.

Take a short stroll on the beautiful, sandy, gulf coast beaches, sunbathe beside the heated community pool, enjoy a drink at the tiki bar, play a game of shuffle board, workout in the community gym or simply sleep the day away in comfort.   • This is a lovely home, very well equipped. My husband and I stayed here with our two children and my father-in-law. The location is great, an easy 3-5 minutes walk to the beach, or even faster if you take the golf cart. We would definitely consider coming back and renting this place again.

  • We absolutely enjoyed our vacation at Salty Dawg. As a Georgia Tech grad, I was apprehensive about the name, but was immediately relieved when we opened the door. The house was tastefully decorated with very thoughtful amenities. The kids LOVED the pool and the GOLF CART! The adults loved the shower on the back porch!!! What a beautiful home, neighborhood, and beach!

  • Wow! What a great time. We recently spent part of spring break at the Salty Dawg with our grandchildren. Everything was wonderful and we did not want for anything. A short walk to the beach and pool. Your house is much more spacious than I Imagined. WE felt right at home and loved the family atmosphere of Blue Mountain. I can't wait to come back!
