Our newly completed, 3000 plus square foot custom home is nestled in the mountains overlooking Lake Purgatory. The brilliance of Castle Rock and the Hermosa Cliffs can be seen to the West, and to the East a little creek travels into a private trout pond on site.
The home was created by the hands of a master with each window intricately creating a new view of the mountains. Giant doors lead you onto a deck where you'll find a hot tub that you can soak in after your daily activities. At night the sky is so black, you'll feel like you're sitting under an umbrella of stars. The night is so peaceful you can hear the resident wildlife. You'll be located at an elevation of 9000 feet somewhere in the vicinity of the gods. The interior is very comfortable with all luxurious amenities that will connect you back to the real world. A private Master Suite allows you to relax after an activity filled day. The see-through fireplace between the Master bedroom and bath provide tranquility while you enjoy the jacuzzi sunken tub. Fabulous Getaway, but Great Access to Town/Resort

Our family of 3 just spent a week at this wonderful location. The home's amenities are accurately reflected in the pictures. The home is very well maintained and the amenities are great -- very updated kitchen with all the necessities; bathrooms were all updated with a master that has a steam shower, jacuzzi tub, and fireplace; the guys hiked to the lake to fish as well as enjoyed the row boat, catching and releasing close to 20 trout. The location is great as it's just about 30 minutes from the downtown Durango train station as well as Silverton, and just a few minutes to the Durango Mountain Resort -- so, it was easy access to everything we wanted to enjoy, but also have the luxury and peace and quiet from the tourist areas. We never minded just hanging out at the house during the evening rains! The owner was very responsive, answering all the questions we had about the home and area; the caretaker was very nice as well. All-in-all, it was very comfortable and one that we definitely recommend; if we have the opportunity to visit again, we will definitely try to arrange our visit to reserve this home again!

Oh my gosh! My family was in a bind and these people were the greatest! The house is WONDERFUL. It's beautiful and very much like home. The pictures were accurate and you got what you saw. It's only 20 minutes from Durango right on a private lake, I can't thank them enough for there hospitality. The gentleman that took care of the house was extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this house for anyone. I do plan on going back. Thanks again for all you did for us.

My husband, sons, daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. The home is beautiful and comfortable, with a wonderful deck to enjoy sunny mornings and shady afternoons. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. The master bedroom and bath rival that of a luxury resort and the other bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a private lake you can see from the property, and my sons enjoyed the fishing there. Durango is a short drive away, as is Silverton and Ouray. There are a lot of fun things to do nearby or you can just relax and enjoy the gorgeous setting.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
