Thank you for a great week at your home. The house was perfect: beautiful, comfortable, cozy and well organized. The quilts are beautiful. We enjoyed the library with great authors like Ambrose, Muir, Steinbeck and Grisham. What a perfect location....getting fresh air, bike riding, walking, enjoying nature and visiting the Glaze Meadow Center. We look forward to coming back. Thank you so much.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: We're glad you had such a wonderful time! It's our goal to have guests like yourselves return again and again, your special BBR home. Thanks for your kind response! - Mac & Jan

"Our whole family had a great time at BBR and your lovely house. We really appreciated how kid-friendly your home is --- great toys and books, the high chair, the 2 Pack N Plays for our twins, the close proximity to Glaze Center. We went hiking at Suttle Lake and along the Metolius, explored Sisters and spent time reading and playing by the fire. My parents enjoyed their round of golf and I cooked three big family meals in the well-equpped kitchen. Thank you so much for everything ... this was our first time at Black Butte and we hope to come back many times!"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My husband and I had such a romantic getaway here! The home and winter wonderland setting were so beautiful. I was also incredibly impressed with how well equipped the house was. Usually when you are staying in a rental vacation home there aren't enough plates, or you can't find a strainer, blender, etc. But here, everything was organized, user-friendly, convenient and clean. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home! We'll be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: Macgregor and Jan have been married for thirty-three years and have lived at Black Butte Ranch since 2004. With the arrival of our two granddaughters, we have enjoyed introducing the next generation to the joys and wonders of BBR. Over the years we have rented numerous vacation homes before purchasing GM 61. We have a good idea of what guests appreciate and have slept on our share of sagging beds, seen every variation on 70's decor from orange formica to diagonal paneling paired with... you get the idea! We believe in offering our guests quality furnishings, comfortable hotel quality beds with down comforters and cotton blankets, china without chips, sharp knives, spices. Keeping GM 61 in top condition is one of our hobbies and we enjoy sharing it with friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose Black Butte Ranch:
Four generations of our family have vacationed at Black Butte Ranch for over thirty years. In 2002, only the two of us could make it. We had no intentions of buying a vacation home but, when we saw Glaze Meadow 61, it was love at first sight! This is one of the rare places one can hear complete silence, lovely well-maintained home on a large forested lot and abundant wildlife. A five minute walk on the bike path and you're at Glaze Center, walk or bike five minutes in the other direction and you're at Glaze Meadow with Lupines and two lakes. We love sharing our home with friends and family, making memories for a lifetime. We welcome new and returning guests who share our love of Black Butte Ranch.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Comfortable attractive home on a lovely forested lot, quiet street. This home is loaded with lots of thoughtful extras, beautiful quilts hanging on the walls and beds, book, music and video libraries and a good selection of family games. The attractive Fiestaware china, rice cooker, Cuisinart, panini grill, nostalgic milk shake machine, juicer, assortment of cook books, something for every chef! This well-maintained home is organized and squared-around. Reading by the fireside in fall and winter is among life's finest. The great outdoors... speaks for itself!
