  We spent a very delightful week at the Wicker Cottage in beautiful Camden. Clean, well equipped, comfortable and convenient. Pleasant and accomodating owners. Don't miss a schooner cruise and clam chowder at Cappy's. We hope to return.

  Wicker Cottage is a delightful accomodation located mid-coast within driving distance to points from Rockland to Acadia. It is beautifully decorated and impecably maintained. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is outfitted with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. There is a great dvd collection as well as helpful information on area sights and restaurants. Camden is a gem with its harbor, quaint shopping district and fine restaurants. Lake Megunticook and Mt. Battie are nearby. Our family enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return soon.

  Wicker Cottage was simply perfect and exceeded all of our families needs and expectations! A beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped cottage oozing with comfort. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee relaxing on the beautiful back porch overlooking the colorful garden. We delighted in the proximity to wonderful hikes, shops, restaurants and schooner rides. We really couldn't ask for more and hope one day to return as leaving was very sad for us. Highly recommend Mt. Battie and Bald Rock Mountain hike...incredibly picturesque! Couldn't ask for a better vacation! Thanks so much.

  This was our first trip to Camden for a summer break. We have two young boys (7 and 3) and wanted a place where we could walk to town, be near the water, and have enough to entertain the kids. Wicker Cottage was perfect for us! Every morning we walked into town for breakfast at Boynton-McKay. We highly recommend it! The house was actually nicer than the pictures portray, which isn't easy. Michelle was very quick to respond to our one question, and all of her instructions were "spot on". The home was very clean, well maintained, and contained EVERYTHING we needed for our stay. Other local attractions we enjoyed were the observation tower on Mt. Battie, Lake Megunticook/Barrets Cove, Captain Jack's Lobster tour, and the Betselma harbor tour. Other restaurants of note are Fresh, Camden Deli, Harbor Dogs, Peter Ott's, and Riverhouse Ice Cream. There were a lot of families and we had no issues with any place being unfriendly for kids (or adults!). We plan on booking again next year, unless we win the lotto and can buy a house in Camden!

  The Wicker Cottage was exactly like the pictures and reviews on this website. The owners have done a wonderful job of creating a home away from home. It truly felt like we were visiting in a friend's home. Michelle was always quick to return emails and answer any questions we had regarding our stay. I would highly recommend Wicker Cottage. It is a 5 minute walk to downtown and located in a nice neighborhood. We loved our visit to Camden and the Wicker Cottage.

  Our stay at the Wicker Cottage exceeded all expectations. It is a beautiful home and from all indications..well loved. I especially appreciated the fine touches (spices, Internet, and a nice movie library). It is very convenient walk to town. The landscaping is just beautiful!

  We stayed at Wicker cottage during July 2010 and August 2011 and would love to return again. Camden is a picturesque harbour town with New England charm, lovely gardens and a terrific library. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly with offstreet parking near the front door. The first floor living area is comfortable with 3 separate areas: kitchen/eating space, family room for games and reading and a separate living room with TV/DVD. A glass door can be used to close off the living room. Compared to other properties we saw, Wicker cottage's interior design and furnishings are very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the side porch, gas grill and lovely flower garden. There are helpful guides for places to visit, attractions and restaurant menus. Market Basket in Rockport offers delicious take-out entrees, sides and sandwiches. The Camden Farmers' Market provides a wonderful variety of vegetables and specialty foods that make meal preparation very easy on the chef who wants a vacation too! Having air conditioning on the living and bedroom levels is a major plus.

  My wife and I very much enjoyed our week at Wicker Cottage. The weather was hot and humid, so we made good use of the air conditioning. We also appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and wireless internet. The living spaces and bedrooms are cheery and comfortable. Other highlights included walking from the cottage to the top of Mt. Battie, numerous strolls to Camden harbor, and waking up each morning to the beautiful sounds of songbirds and loons. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

  We had a great stay. The house is in a great location, with only a couple of blocks walk to downtown Camden, the shops and the harbor. The house is very comfortable and the owner has provided absolutely everything you need during your stay. We've stayed in at least ten VRBO homes and this is the best equipped yet. We also enjoyed Mt Battie and its incredible views. We would definitely rent this place again.

  We loved our stay in Camden. The WIcker Cottage is very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The cottage is very clean and the description and pictures matched what we found when we arrived. The Weltys have thought of everything and more. The location was ideal for us. We enjoyed being in walking distance to town and all the restaurants and hiking to the top of Mt. Battie.
