ABSOLUTELY one of Taveuni's most spectacular and meticulously maintained properties.
Ucuilagi invites you and your family to experience a very special house offering one of Fiji’s most unique and private properties. All rooms & swimming pool feature breathtaking unobstructed panoramic 180 degree views over the ocean, off-shore islands, and glorious sunsets. In fact, the incredible views from Ucuilagi may very well be the most spectacular of any home in all the Fiji Islands.
Walk through the magnificent tropical gardens on this expansive two and a half acre property to your private home with stunning sea and island views. Beautifully constructed, Ucuilagi is built of solid wood and consists of two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen, dining room, living room areas.
Bed configurations can be any combination of king-size bed or twin beds. Interior area 1600 square feet and 800 square foot patio. Floors are of beautifully polyurethaned Fijian hardwood (Vesi). The house is positioned on a bluff overlooking the sea to maximize the spectacular views and sunsets.
ADDITIONALLY on the property, for larger families there is a lovely second house situated by the main house. This second 400 square foot home features two-bedrooms, one-bathroom, and five twin-size beds and is equipped with a small refrigerator as well as coffee/tea making facilities.
House staff [Isoa & Peni] live on property in a separate house. All housekeeping chores are taken care of on a daily basis [except Sunday]. Isoa & Peni are indigenous Fijians and love to share their culture and to arrange traditional Fijian experiences for our guests.
Several restaurants are within easy walking distance. Several additional restaurants are within a five minute drive. Grocery stores are also nearby. Dive shop nearby.
ISLAND TRANSPORTATION: Ucuilagi rental INCLUDES a new four-wheel drive 2.8 ltr Toyota Hi Luxury twin-cab pick-up truck. Fully loaded including air-conditioning. Due to insurance requirements the vehicle can only be driven by Ucuilagi staff who will serve as your driver and island guide. As taxis are often difficult to obtain, having use of this vehicle with your own knowledgeable driver/guide is a tremendous benefit to our guests.

We really enjoyed our stay here. THe island is Taveuni and if you want to know the real fijiian's this place is a must. This house by far had the most beautiful view!! You woke up everymoring in paradise. The house is nice. The caretaker Isoa is very kind and halps you with all your planning. The truck you get with your rental (Isoa drives) really is a great thing to have. He grounds are amazing!!!! Very,very beautiful. There is no air conditioning, no microwave and we would have liked a toaster. We had fans and everthing worked out okay. Isoa cut a big bunch of bananas and hung it out our back door. He brought limes and oranges that were picked right off of the property. THe Lavena coastal walk and falls, boauma falls and paradise resort is an absolute must!!! THere is a little restaurant at the bottom of our hill that is good. Isoa and his wife Pinni made a lovo for us, they have a daughter in boarding school and they do this for a fund raiser. It was the best meal on the island. We had massages 4 times the 10 days we were there and Maureen and Touvei were amazing. They became our friends and we would visit and tease. The pool is not real big but it is very refreshing and nice to have. We stayed here for 9 days. We even got a dog, steve too. He was alot of fun. The beach across the road from the house is by far the most beautiful beach on the island. Prince Charles Beach. We went over to Qomea Isand and spent the day with the chief Moses and his family. This is a must!!!!! It was our favorite thing. We were lucky it was Palm Sunday and the program for church was all about the children. They sang with the most harmonizing voices and were so amazing. Drink Kava and listen to the island boys and have a amazing trip.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
