CHARACTERFUL AND CHARMING 18TH CENTURY STONE VILLAGE HOUSE near UZES.

Located in the old village of Sanilhac next to the gorges of La Baume on the river Gardon, eight kms upstream from the famous Roman Aqueduct “Pont du Gard” and seven kms from Uzes. Nimes and Avignon 30 minutes drive, beaches - one hour.

Ideal for up to six adults and the main bedroom can further accommodate a child on a full size put-you-up bed. Full oil central heating and therefore can be used all year round, ideal for family/friends at Christmas time too.

Note it is not suitable for children under 12 or the disabled, due to the ancient staircase to first floor.

Lovely private court yard, plus terrace from the second floor bedroom. It is a spacious house with exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings throughout the ground floor.

Stone walls with exposed wooden beams on the upper floors. Exquisitely and very comfortably furnished with some antiques, oriental carpets, paintings and furnishings brought over from England by the owners.

Ground Floor:
Small WC. Large farmhouse kitchen/eating area with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas and electric hob/full oven, microwave, and comprehensively equipped kitchen.

Door leading to a very private courtyard, perfect for outdoor eating with barbecue. Wrought iron dining furniture and sun chairs.

Atmospheric vaulted dining room. Large antique pine refractory dining table, small drinks fridge, pine side cabinet and small antique oak table. Door leading to small front garden.

Vaulted sitting room furnished with cream settees, oriental carpet and paintings, antique side tables and subtle lighting.

First Floor:
Ancient stone staircase to upstairs double story sitting/TV room/third bedroom with double sofabed, second settee and matching chair and oriental artefacts on walls. Very light and airy with feature balcony window and exposed stone walls.32 inch TV/DVD/CD and film sound surround with range of DVD’s and CD’s. Portable Radio/CD player and small library.

Main large master bedroom with Juliette balcony window to courtyard, five foot orthopaedic bed. Comfortable sofa. Mullioned window, exposed stone and fabric covered walls. Centre cooling fan lighting.

Ensuite bathroom with bath/hand shower, water closet and bidet. Extra put-you-up bed for child if needed and washing machine.

Second floor:
Second bathroom off galleried landing with small bath/hand shower, water closet and bidet. Galleried landing leading to second bedroom with twin beds (can be made up as a queen size bed). Mobile cooling fan available.
