Welcome to 2 Long Boat, a spacious, four-bedroom, four-and-one-half bath, nearly 4,000 square foot, 3rd row, Palmetto Dunes home where no detail has been spared. The beautiful Atlantic Ocean and wide beaches await you just steps away on the private end of Palmetto Dunes, Travel + Leisure Family's Number top Family Resort in the USA and Canada for 2009. Palmetto Dunes has three championship, 18-hole golf courses, 26 tennis courts, restaurants, shopping and its own marina at Shelter Cove.
This is a non-smoking and pet-free home. The large living room is in the center of the first floor and is decorated with beautiful new furnishings, including matching sofa, love seat and oversized chair. The living room has a wet bar with ice maker, fireplace, a new 40 inch Sony Bravia flat screenTV with full HD service, a 5 disc CD/DVD player, and stereo system that plays throughout the first floor of the home, including on the back porch. You will enjoy preparing meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with breakfast bar which seats four. A comfortable keeping room adjoins the kitchen, complete with a loveseat,chair, dining table for four and new 32 inch flat screenTV with full HD service and a DVD player. The separate dining room has a glass table that seats six and is located near the kitchen for easy serving.
The living room, the keeping room and the first floor master bedroom all have French doors which open to the stone patio and private heated pool and jacuzzi area. The pool is amply sized, heavily screened by landscaping, has all new pool furniture and a gas grill for your family cookouts. The shaded patio also has all new patio furniture, including a table with seating for six, and ceiling fans. It is the perfect place to relax after your beach walk or bike ride!
The first master bedroom suite, which overlooks the pool area, has a king-size bed with new bedding, TV/DVD, and its own huge master bath. The tiled bath boasts a large jetted jacuzzi tub, a walk-in closet, separate vanities and water closets, sky lights and a very large glassed-in shower with two shower heads.
The second master bedroom suite is alone on the second level for ultimate privacy. It also has a king-size bed with new bedding, seating area with sofa and 2 chairs, TV/DVD, walk-in closet and its own private bath with separate vanities, jacuzzi tub and glassed-in shower. If two couples are sharing this home, no one feels like they slept in the "second class" bedroom!
The other two bedrooms are upstairs on the third level and are both very generously sized. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed with new bedding, 2 closets, flat screen TV and DVD player and private bath. The fourth bedroom is perfect for the kids - it has twin double bunk beds and sleeps four in a large room. It has a flat screen TV and DVD player, separate closet and its own private bath.
We have 2 rollaway beds (stored in the closets of the 3rd and 4th bedrooms) that can be used in the kid's bedroom or anywhere else you may need to use them.
Other features include cable tv throughout, wireless high speed internet access, a two-car garage, extra refrigerator in the garage, elevator for elderly or handicapped guests, and a large laundry room with full-sized washer, dryer and utility sink.
Our Long Boat home is beautifully decorated, has high ceilings, hard wood floors,window treatments, designer touches and an open, airy floorplan. A 3rd row home no more than a two-minute walk to the beach, it is your perfect family vacation spot for years to come. There are no streets to cross to get to the beach.
All you need to bring are your beach towels! There is an extra charge to heat the pool and jacuzzi--be sure to inquire about this if you are interested. (Heating the pool in the summer is not necesssary.)

This is our 7th year bringing in the New Year in this truly amazing beautiful very clean home in our most favorite place to be. It has everything you would ever need to make your stay both comfortable and worry free. The photos do not do it justice and it is literally a short walk to the beach. Lots of room for a large family or more than one family. The new deco is beautiful, and the amenities are exceptional!! The owners are terrific and make our stays stress-free. We look forward to many more New Year Eves at 2 Long Boat!!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This house is beautiful. We have stayed here 5 years in a row for multiple weeks each year. The owners make sure the house is well kept, clean and has everything necessary to let you relax and enjoy your vacation. We have recommended the place to friends who have stayed here as well. the photos don't accurately reflect the beauty of the place. The house is very convenient to the beach and has all the chairs and beach stuff you'll need. Our family loves and we look forward to coming back year after year.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
