February, 2008 I brought my mom here to celebrate her 78th birthday! She was just delighted! The condo was very comfortable and inviting. The beach, absolutely beautiful and the wildlife just so entertaining. The area, Okaloosa Island I would recommend. And especially the west end where this condo is located, not crowded on the beach, and very peaceful! Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a perfect vacation!

My husband & I stayed in the condo from 12/21/07-12/25/07. What a lovely place for us to celebrate Christmas!! We were just sorry we had to leave Christmas day. The decor was adorable. The condo's proximity to the beach was GREAT being on the first floor, out the door and over the walkway and there it is. The views from the living room were fabulous. I hope we have the opportunity to visit this lovely condo in the near future.

We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon. The condo was just perfect for us. We were out on the beach every morning of our stay. We even found the menu book and some of the advice in the guest book very helpful when deciding where to eat and where to go. We usually travel with most of his family, so we tend to stay in bigger places, but if we ever find ourselves wanting a getaway for just the two of us, we'll definitely keep this unit at the top of the list!

We absolutely loved our stay at the condo! We were just in town for a few days for a last minute summer vacation. My boyfriend proposed to me right there on the beach while we were there and it couldn't have been more perfect!!! The condo was conveniently located to everything and it was wonderful to just get up and walk out the door to the beach! Also loved all the flip flop decor in the condo! Being an owner of around 50 pairs of flip flops, I absolutely loved it! :) We will definitely rent this condo again. Thanks again! Brandi and James

We returned a week ago from this beautiful destination and condo. Our family has many wonderful fun filled memories of the beach and our quiet relaxing stay in the condo. My boys both enjoyed the chance to walk directly out the door to the beach and area to move around. We were quite surprised that even though it was summer time it was not really crowded. We would love to visit again in the next year.

We stayed July 29- Aug.4, 2007. What a wonderful condo! The beach is right out the back door with no stairs to climb. Our family of four had a great vacation with many great memories. We will definitely be back next year!

We had a great time at this condo. It is extremely close to the beach - right outside the back door as a matter of fact! The pool is very convenient as well. We were even invited to eat crab legs with the neighbors next door but unfortunately no one in our family eats crab legs. We will certainly be back. Maybe next time without the kids!!!!

We just got back yesterday from our wonderful vacation in Okaloosa Island. This was our second time on the island and our first time at Island Sands. We were very happy with this condo, very clean and adorable decor! We also LOVED the first floor, it was easy in and out, especially with a 1 year old! We actually loved it there so much we may buy one of the units for sale in the same complex! This is definately a place to stay for a beautiful beach and some much needed R&R! Thanks so much!

What a great place to stay! This unit is toward the West end of Okaloosa Island so the beach is not crowded, plus you have your own parking space in front of the unit. Destin is less than 15 min. away for dining or charters and Publix is less than 5 min. for shopping if you want to eat in. We look forward to coming back next year!

I grew up going to Destin every year and this is the first time we stayed in Ft. Walton. We absolutely loved it! It wasn't crowded, all of our "neighbors" were extremely friendly. (We have even kept in touch with some through email.) The water was gorgeous and seaweed free! Buz was also very helpful. Our beach trip was cancelled last year thanks to Katrina (due to no gas in Jackson) and we were very concerned about this happening again, regarding our deposit, re-booking, etc. He was more than willing to work with us which made our experience that much better. We will definitely be back next year! Thanks for a great vacation!

We had such a great time in this wonderful condo! It was perfect for our family with 2 young children. We were able to quickly and easily walk to the beach and pool without having to walk stairs or mess with elevators. The decorations were great with a beach theme. We really enjoyed Fort Walton and plan to visit again next year!

We have been to Destin many, many times. This, however, was our first trip to Okaloosa and we've decided it is far better - less crowded, less traffic, more personable environment. The condo was beautiful and had all the amenities of home. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will, without a doubt, stay here next year!

This condo is perfect! It's so beautifully decorated. Exactly like the pictures. The "sea cottage" look is exactly what I was looking for in a condo. It's beachy, cozy, and comfortable. The 1st floor location is awesome, we have a toddler so there were no worries about falling over balcony railings. We also especially liked that we could walk out our patio doors and be on the beach(instead of having to go out the front and around), and that the pool was right out the front door. This condo is a dream. Can't wait to come back soon! Thanks so much.

We were pleasantly surprised at the decor and general appearance of the condo. It was quiet and right on the beach. The condo was clean and comfortable. It is located in a building of 27 individual apartments and centrally located on the bottom floor near the footbridge to the beach. It has a semi-private patio and small St. Augustine grass lawn. The beach (flipflop) decor was perfect for it's ambiance. We had a great trip with no hassles from anyone. Just what we were hoping for! It's a wonderful place for a small family or couple! We hope to go back next year!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this condo was exactly as described. The owners have taken every step to make this feel like home and have not cut corners in decorating or furnishing. You will love the fact that the beach is just beyond the sliders, we watched dolphins playing a couple hundred feet from shore. We highly recommend and look forward to planning our next trip.
