WOW...this is a wonderful home. The custom kitchen was just completley renovated. We have been coming to the Vineyard for years. This is one of the best homes we have stayed in. Brand new kitchen, clean, well located. The owners were great to deal with. We have already reserved a week in the summer for next year !!

We have been coming to the Vineyard for years. This is one of the best homes we rented and my family's standards are extremely high. The brand new gourmet kitchen is stunning. Every appliance is top of the line. The home is meticulous maintained and on a scale of 1 to 10, it is an 11. The layout and the grounds are beautiful; the setting is private and peaceful. We are definitely coming back and have booked next year already. Location is ideal. This is truly a “MV Home”

Don't Rent Here! No A/C - Unhelpful Owners!

We checked in on a hot day, and there was only air conditioning in the master bedroom! The owner had assured us there was central air, BUT THERE IS NOT. When we called to say there was no A/C, she said the house must have been robbed of the window units in every room. She sent over a groundskeeper who looked for additional a/c units in their garage, but he only found one. He said he would return with some new units for the children's rooms, but he never did. We found the dishonesty of the owner appalling. The house was so hot, it was unbearable. Even the fan in study didn't move air around. As others have written below, RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

We were first-time Martha's Vineyard visitors and this home fit us perfectly. It was only minutes from Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown which made our exploring, shopping and dining always feel fresh. And after all our activities we would look forward to getting back to our 'vacation house' to just hang out. We felt spoiled to have so much space and comfort. Our 11 year old niece couldn't get enough of the tree swing and the rest of us were in awe of the 60 feet of hydrangeas and wisteria. The owner was always quick to answer our questions and we had no problems. The property met and exceeded our expectations.

I just booked a week next summer and wanted to write a review for the week I spent this past June/July. Landscaping and house exterior were extremely aesthetically pleasing upon pulling up in the front drive via taxi. Great thing about this house is the owners provided a Jeep to use for the week, so travelers by way of Plane and Ferry can be easily accomodated. Backyard was super spacious and great for Bocce, badminton and other outdoor activities. There are two places, a back patio and side gazeebo(sp) for outdoor cocktails and dining which was great. Also to note outdoors was a community tennis court for the private neighborhood this house is located in. For the inside of the house, rooms were setup well. Great privacy for myself and wife in the master and comfortable sleeping in three other bedrooms on the second and third floor. A couple with kids joined us for a few days and it worked out well. Great multi-purpose living room with flat screen tv. Open kitchen and dining room were also well layed out and another place for social eats and drinks. Great location to many beaches and towns. The owners were very kind and informative to clue us in on the local restaurants and attractions during our week. Only complaint was extensive traffic on the island, beach was tough to get too on weekend but easier during week.

Gorgeous Layout, Beautiful Yard, and a Perfect Vacation House!

This property is a fabulous location as it is centrally located with only minutes by car to Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for a morning run with the kids in the baby jogger without worrying about traffic. As for the house, I loved the layout of this house. The house is spacious and open with great air flow and lots of natural light. My favorite room is the front room with large windows overlooking the back yard, I could of spent the whole day in this room reading a book or napping while looking at the sun shine through and the wind blow through the trees if the kids did not need me. The kitchen was chef's kitchen with all the necessary gadgets to make a gourmet dinner. Outside yard is beautifully landscaped and was perfect for kids to run around and play. To take a shower in the outdoor shower after the beach was such a treat. The owner was very responsive and the house was immaculately spotless when we arrived. We are definitely coming back. This one's a keeper!

This house was dirty, no AC and is not as pretty as the pictures. The owner, who will probably rebut this post like she did the last one, only helped after we spent HOURS on the phone (and wasted a day) to rectify the situation. We would strongly suggest staying elsewhere as there are myriad other homes.

My husband and I have stayed in this fabulous classic vineyard beach house for the past many years and would not consider staying anywhere else during our summer vacation. The house sits near the bike path and across the county road from Farm Neck Golf Course--great cafe on premises and golf and tennis available. The house is large and nicely furnished and lovely windows throughout capture the wonderful foliage in the yard surrounding the home. It is private and cozy as well as sunny and bright. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfortable and lots of linens on the premises. Central location to Oak Bluffs, Vinyard Haven and Edgartown makes exploring the many wonderful features of the island easy and accessible. I highly recommend this vacation home to anyone planning to visit Marthas Vineyard!

Excellent MV Getaway

This home was the perfect option for our family gathering. There are large common areas, including a great kitchen / dining area and a huge great room with cathedral cieling and a fire place. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 small kids. Wonderful back yard with patio and grill -- lots of great space. Great location in Vineyard Haven, easy to get to restaurants and shops where you can get your own food to cook. Owners were easy to work with and accomodating, and the property always has an affordable price. We will definately be returning!

We recently stayed at this home and despite the cold weather (we rented in winter), we had a wonderful time! My children had lots of room in this classic but very large home to play around and my husband and I had a fabulous time entertianing the guests who stayed with us as well. It close to EVERYTHING that one could want to do on the vineyard...beach, downtown, restaurants. The only complaint I have is that my husband never took me out to dinner...because the kitchen was so large and fun to cook in. It's actualyl priced better than one we rented last year around the same time...but its larger and had much more to offer. would definitely recommend for families, even for a winter stay...especially.

We have been coming to the Vinyard for years. this has been one of the best homes we have rented. The home is large and very well maintained and recently updated. This home is one of the least expensive that we have rented and one of the best we have rented. It offers great value. We booked our vacation in this home for 2009 already. They have a lot of repeat guests. So we booked early.

Though the house is charmingly furnished, has an attractive layout, and is in a great location with nice grounds, we had a few problems. The BBQ grill was very old, rusted and didn't work. When we arrived, there were dirty linens piled on the washing machine and a load in the dryer. The dryer worked poorly so it took hours to dry the towels that were in it. There was a clogged drain in the master bedroom, no lighting in the loft bathroom, poor lighting in the living room, and some electrical outlets did not work. The screen door from the living room to the patio was inoperable so we couldn't use that one and the door from the dining room to the patio had no screen so we couldn't open it for fresh air because the insects would come in. The linen closet was a mess making it difficult to find sheets for the beds. The sprinkler system comes on in the AM I think about 8 and rotates across the front walkway so we would have to time our exit for when the it rotates away from the walkway to keep from getting wet. The worst problem was the garbage. The outside bin was full when we arrived and no one ever came to empty it. It took 3 days for the renting agent to respond to our emails and calls and she never resolved the problem despite her promise to do so. We had nowhere to put our garbage for the week we were there which was a huge problem. The customer service was poor at best given the problems reaching her and her lack of action to resolve the garbage problem. We were willing to live with the other issues but the we really needed help with the garbage problem and did not get it.

Owner response:This review has been submitted by a young renter who along with their guests destroyed our home beyond the value of the security deposit and cleaning fee. Breakage, the use of every towel and sheet in the home as well as destruction and other unmentionables gave us pause to reflect if we should be renting at all without several references in the future. It is unfortunate since we have had no complaints only happy re-peat renters for many seasons.
