I was searching for a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit when I found the Astoria property. We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday with our children and grandchildren. The 401 unit looked beautiful but was more than we ever expected. This unit was very clean and the furnishings were absolutely gorgeous. It had every amenitiy you would expect and then some. The layout is perfect as everyone can still have their privacy. It is located on the fourth floor right aside of the pool. The balcony view of the bay and ocean was fabulous. The 45th St. location was great as we were only one block from the ocean and the bay. The whole Astoria property was well maintained. The only thing I could have used was a baking dish for brownies and clocks in the bedrooms. We were three blocks from Seacrets and about 6 blocks from Mackey's where we had a great birthday dinner (even though it was a bit pricey). There are storage lockers in the garage to use for beach supplies which we probably would not have needed to bring as they were alreay there. The only problem we had was a chirpping smoke detector which we reported on Wednesday and as of Saturday no one had checked on it. No big deal though since it was only a chirping sound. The kids really enjoyed the OC Rocket speed boat ride where they saw the dolpins. I would not recommend Jolly Rogers Park as the packages with points are a rip off. We went through $69 worth of points in less than one hour. I would definately rent this unit again (this was our first time renting a condo) and will also tell our friends about it.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
