A Log cabin at the end of the road and on a private drive. Cabin is set on a seasonal stream and the deck overlooks a pond. Fantastic views of the Bitterroots and the Sapphires. Cabin is surrounded by large Ponderosa pines and has a large deck for great views.

Abundant wildlife right outside the window; see deer, bald eagles, pheasant, owls. Hike from your doorway or go to any of the close trailheads or wildlife refuges. Hike miles of trails to rugged peaks and mountain lakes, creeks and ponds.

Plenty of photo-ops of deer, elk, moose, bear, sheep, mt. goats, etc. or fish lakes and streams. Cabin is furnished with wildlife prints, mounts, log furniture and much more to make you comfortable.

A large tiled kitchen with dining table and lots of windows out over the deck which has a table with umbrella. Two large bathrooms: one has a large walk in shower and the other has a tin ceiling with a claw-foot bath tub. Pastures and corrals are available if you want to bring your horses. No pets.

  • We had a great stay here. The cabin is situated on a beautiful piece of property that afforded us great views of the vistas and local wildlife. It was serene and secluded. The owners, Laurie and John, and gracious and unbelievably hospitable. We have family in the Stevensville area and look forward to staying here every time we come to visit. Highly recommended!

  • MY HUSBAND AND I JUST SPENT ANOTHER WEEK AT THIS RETREAT. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN.THE ACCOMMODATIONS ARE VERY WOODZY(AMAZING),AS ARE THE VIEWS OFF THE DECK,THE BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY AND MOUNTAIN RANGES ARE ALL AROUND YOU.JUST SITTING ON THE DECK WATCHING THE WILDLIFE PASS IN FRONT OF YOU IS SPECTACULAR IN IT SELF. IF YOU HUNT,FISH,BIRDWATCH,SKI,HIKE OR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF, OR JUST NEED SOME PEACE AND SOLITUDE, THIS IS THE PLACE.ENJOT,ENJOY,ENJOY!!!!!

  • Wow! What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time touring the area-fishing, visiting the little shops in Stevensville and Hamilton, and relaxing. The Porters were very welcoming and helpful-we'll definitely be back.
