Irish Eyes is a spacious newer home in the award winning Beachwalk Resort community and the resort's largest and grandest home! Irish Eyes has 7 bedrooms, 5.5 baths (sleeps 20) and its Bailey’s Irish Cream coach house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (sleeps 5).
These two homes can be rented independently or together, depending on your needs. Together, they can sleep a total of 25 people, making them a great location for family reunions, weddings, football weekends, church or scrap booking groups or business retreats. Irish Eyes and Bailey’s offer your group a comfortable, spacious setting to relax and enjoy your time together.
Irish Eyes has a screened observation tower which overlooks the beautiful Beachwalk Resort community and its private Lake Kai. Cook and eat inside or cook outside on the gas grills with 2 picnic tables on the private deck or table for 6 on the screened porch.
The 1st floor fully equipped kitchen seats 20 and open to the huge 24’ x 27’ living room- perfect for scrap booking and group gatherings. The living room has a gas fireplace, 46' flat screen TV, couch, love seat and chaise lounge. The first floor also includes a screened porch off the living room, a sun room off the kitchen area and a handicapped accessible master bedroom suite with full bath–perfect for older folks.
The 2nd floor has 5 bedrooms including 2 additional masters with private baths, one with a king bed and baby crib, a queen bedroom, and two child friendly rooms with double bunk beds, so it is perfect for families traveling together.
The 3rd floor loft room is perfect for a family unit with a queen bed, twin bunks and a double futon.
The lower level is a gathering/sleeping area with two futons and a TV, perfect for the kids to bring their gaming systems and have their own private play area! The lower level also has a full bath and a laundry area with washer and dryer.
The optional Bailey's Irish Cream coach house has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The main floor has a kitchen area and living space with a pull out sleeper sofa and private deck with table for 6.
Other home amenities include free WIFI, gas grills and wagons for transporting your beach toys or kids to the pool or beach.

Our four homes are located in the award-winning Beachwalk Resort community where there are activities a plenty right outside your doorstep: tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a heated pool and wading pool, a playground and park, putting green, snack shop and Lake Kai, a small private lake for swimming, fishing (no license required), and non-motorized watercraft use. In the summer, Beachwalk sponsors outdoor kid’s daytime activities and evening family movies. The homes are located next to a school which has a great play ground and wonderful sledding hill in the winter. Ice skating is also available on lake Kai-only 1 block away!
Also within easy walking distance is Beachwalk’s private entrance to the beautiful Lake Michigan Sheridan Beach where you can enjoy swimming, jet skiing, fishing, sailing and water skiing.
Other attractions in the area include Washington Park, the Zoo, the Blue Chip Gambling Casino, the Lighthouse shopping mall, 3 museums, winery tours and a host of fine restaurants. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and State Park boasts 8500 acres of lakeshore, bogs, forests, and enormous sand dunes and is only minutes away. Activities there include swimming, fishing, hiking, picnicking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing.
Come join us in the off-season for a Notre Dame football weekend-only about 40 minutes from South Bend.
Women love coming for get-away weekends to shop at the Light House Mall or spend the weekend scrap booking!
Please note that Irish eyes maintains a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Also, because Beachwalk is family-orientated, we do not rent to prom groups.

We are so glad we found this place. We've been coming to Michigan City for 6 years for an annual cousin's weekend and this was by far the best place we stayed at. It was new, with 9 private bedrooms (Irish Eyes & Bailey's) and everything was just in great shape. We will be back again next year for sure! Working with John & Carol was so easy! We give this place an A++!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our Irish mother turned 80 on Ocotober 14, 2012. We asked her what she wanted to do to celebrate, and her response was to have her children and grandchildren together in Michigan City. When we saw Irish Eyes, we knew this was where we needed to be. The age span was from 2 years to 80 years old and we could not have found better accomodations. There is a main floor bedroom which has a bathroom which is handicap accessible. It was perfect for our mother. We had planned on eating out some of our meals, but the kitchen was so well equipped that we had a blast cooking all of our meals at Irish Eyes! We even baked and decorated the birthday cake there. The dining room table was great for meals as well as being utilized as a game table for all of us. There was even a high chair for our two year old grandson. There are two gas grills that definitely got a work-out. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so we didn't feel we were on top of each other. We used the separate game room and played several of the board games that were available. Another unique feature of Irish Eyes is the Crow's Nest. We loved this vantage point to watch a storm come in as well as to view the beautiful community. The proximity to the lake and beach was wonderful as we took advantage of early morning and sunset walks as well as the short drive to the Notre Dame campus. Our mother said at the end of our stay, that it was her best vacation and best birthday ever!!! Thank you to Jon and Carol for helping us to create such a lasting memory for our family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just a promised, the house is a wonderful get-away! Owners Carol and Jon made the stay comfortable. Timely responses to email and phone calls, on-site help with a tripped breaker and an abundant supplies made for a great family vacation. Clean and well maintained. Plenty of room to gather and plenty of room for privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and baking utensils, we had very little need to eat out and enjoyed lots of family time around the table for 12. Home offers Wi-Fi and a television in each bedroom, for those who simply can't unplug for too long. Neighborhood noise ordinance effective at 10 pm each night makes for peaceful sleeping with the lake breeze cooling the bedrooms. The neighborhood is geared for kids. Places to play, swim, fish and streets and trails for walking. Great access to the beautiful public beach on Lake Michigan, unless you are afraid of a little walking. :) We enjoyed touring Barker Mansion in town for an inexpensive history lesson. Al's grocery is convenient and Meijer or Walmart are only a few miles if you need more than food items. Want some time in the big city? Take a train from the Carroll Ave station to Chicago, just about 3 miles away. The fare is about $9.00 each way and there are multiple departure times daily. There is also a local zoo, small water park and Indiana Dunes for more family activities. We hope to be back next Summer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have been delighted to spend a week of vacation over the last two years at "Irish Eyes." We gad plenty of room for all 22 of us and enjoyed all the nearby amenities like the beach, pool and playground. The community is beautiful and peaceful. We look forward to going back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
