An oasis of peace and tranquility overlooking spectacular Kealakekua Bay ("Pathway of the Gods"), Hale Ke'ei Lani ("Heavenly Abode") is a luxurious custom built home sitting on a beautifully landscaped one and two-tenths acres.

A custom built redwood and cedar pole house, this tastefully furnished, smoke-free home features an Asian style floor plan, open beamed ceilings, wrap around decks and magnificent views of Kona's famous sunsets.

Only a short drive away, Kealakekua Bay as well as the Place of Refuge National Park offer some of Hawaii's best snorkeling, kayaking and whale watching, plus the opportunity to swim and interact with the resident pod of spinner dolphins.

Hale Ke'ei Lani is located in the district of South Kona revered by the ancient Hawaiians as the source of their spiritual and physical sustenance. It was here that they enjoyed the best fishing, farming and hunting, and perhaps the best climate in all of Hawaii.

Sitting at the ideal elevation of 900 feet, it's all perfectly laid out for you: Mt. Mauna Loa behind, the ocean and the daily magnificent sunsets in front and cooling breezes all around.

We definitely didn't plan enough time in your beautiful home. Next time we won't bother going anywhere else. It was so peaceful and quiet. We loved the view, the decor, the lush tropical lawn and the birds. The house has everything anyone could need or want for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation.

It Really Is Paradise

Guest: DWolf (Los Angeles, CA) (-)
Date of Stay: 01/17/09 Review Submitted: 02/01/12

In mid-January I visited Hale Ke'ei Lani with my husband and mother-in-law. We wanted to be away from the touristy areas, in a place where we could both enjoy the local culture and be at easy driving distance from most places. Hale Ke'ei Lani fit the bill perfectly. We have never stayed in a place that was so meticulously arranged and yet so serene. To me, this was paradise.

Wonderful Experience

Guest: Dave (Otis Orchards, Wa USA) (-)
Date of Stay: 06/24/11 Review Submitted: 01/31/12

My party of 4 adults stayed on this exceptional property. The house and property were immaculate and so comfortable. Having a property that was maintained with the guests in mind made our visit to the Big Island all the more special, and avocados picked on the property for our snacking was just an added bonus. We will return to this property on our next visit to Hawaii.

Great Place

Guest: Sylvie (Lausanne, Switzerland) (-)
Date of Stay: 10/16/11 Review Submitted: 01/31/12

We had wonderful days in Hale Ke'ei Lani, enjoying the beauty of the house, the amenities and surroundings, the peaceful and quiet location. And yet, also very convenient for traveling around (West/North Coast). The snorkeling at Two Steps is excellent. We saw green sea turtles at Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Park and dolphins playing in Kealakekua Bay. Excellent local supermarket in Captain Cook as well as good wines to enjoy on the lanai while watching the sunset. Mahalo

Truly An Oasis

Guest: Emily (San Francisco) (-)
Date of Stay: 11/18/11 Review Submitted: 01/31/12

This property was exceptional in every way and I would recommend it without hesitation to any couple or family wanting a quiet, private, rustic experience with all of the comforts and easy access to the beach, the bay and the great food offerings of the coast. Reading out on the deck, at the comfortably cool of 900 feet, gazing down on the bay and listening to bird songs was paradise. Fruit trees, no sounds of traffic and total serenity are what we experienced.

Perfect accommodation for our first visit to Hawai

A beautiful, quiet, idyllic setting with fruit trees on the property. We loved it. It was wonderful to use the hammocks on the la'nai as we watched the sun set each evening. The location is close to beaches with fantastic snorkeling.
