Branson Vacation Home Rental:
Tall Pines Sanctuary is a beautiful and unusual home that blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. It is not condo! Its setting is the center of 40 wooded acres with a stand of huge pines surrounding the home. It is perfect for those desiring a peaceful get-away but still interested in enjoying the many Branson attractions. The house has exquisite appointments such as hand-laid stone, stained wood, art glass, waterfalls, solarium and more. We are also pet friendly.
This home sleeps up to 8 people quite comfortably. There are several separate additional homes available for rental on the property that will allow up to 24 people to stay in one location. Please contact us regarding large parties and family reunions staying at Tall Pines.
Tall Pines property is situated at what the locals call the "quiet" side of the lake. Just south of Branson, we are located off UU on the Long Creek arm of Table Rock Lake. Access for boating and swimming is less than a mile away. We are just eight minutes from Big Cedar Lodge and 20 minutes from Branson's Country Music Boulevard. Four outstanding golf courses are less than fifteen minutes away. Branson's new airport (open May 2009) is also about 20 minutes away. Folks who stay here are amazed at the beauty. They often say "the pictures don't do it justice!" Stay with us. If you do your whole party will be amazed at how smart and savvy you are for finding such a great place.
Staying at the Sanctuary is a holiday all its own. The house features hand-laid stone walls, and two waterfalls that run along the side of the house. The deck is huge with a sunken hot tub; it is surrounded by a canopy of 75 foot tall native pines. The glass solarium looks out across Persimmon Hollow. There are three bedrooms. The upper level has two bedrooms. The first has a King Canopy bed, the second has a Queen bed, the third is the 3-room Master Suite with a King-size bed and a pullout sofa. Both Kings have new mattresses (May, 2010) Blankets, pillows, linens, and towels will be provided. Many other amenities such as indoor and outdoor surround sound and home theater systems await you.
New in 2010 is the remodeled "The Hiding Place" (listing no. 135116) a 2 BR/2Ba single level home that sleeps up to 6. . In June of 2008 "The Refuge" 3 BR/2Ba log home became available. See listing no. 171960. Please contact us for more information on staying at Tall Pines.
It is our desire that as people stay at the Sanctuary, they experience the tranquility of the Ozarks and leave with a renewed heart.
* Please note that this is our second home. It is important to us that both the property and the wildlife be respected. There is no hunting at any time... hence the name, The Sanctuary. We recommend this property for families and senior citizens. Our maximum occupancy limit in the sanctuary is 8 persons, no exceptions. If you have more than 8 please consider renting the "The Hiding Place" (6 people) or "The Refuge," (8-10 people) each easy walking distance to The Sanctuary.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
We are both teachers. Margie guides 7th and 8th graders at Branson J.H. towards excellence in character and beginning Spanish. Bruce improves the quality of culture in the Ozarks by teaching music at College of the Ozarks. Tall Pines is our creative outlet, building and decorating beautiful homes in the idyllic setting of the Ozarks woods.
Why the Owner Chose Branson
The land is gorgeous! We have easy access to Table Rock Lake, one of the prettiest lakes you will ever see. Its a quick commute on good roads to our work in Branson. Minimal tourist traffic!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We enjoy the peaceful countryside away from the bustle of Branson. A large cattle ranch surrounds our property. Another one is just across the road. I love the cows! Almost every other Branson rental is tight up against a lot of other ones, cabins upon cabins and condos upon condos. Ours is not anything like that and we will keep it that way. We honor the beauty of the land. Enjoying nature is of paramount importance. Tall Pines is one of the best places we know for enjoying nature.

My husband and I just returned home from a wonderful three night stay at Tall Pines' the Sanctuary. What an incredibly beautiful and serene place to get away! I was absolutely distressed at the thought that we had to leave. We would go back again right now if it were available! The house is even more beautiful than the pictures portray(hard to believe I know) and is equipped with literally everything you could think of needing! The property is huge and filled with gorgeous trees. The Gerlach's have mapped out some hikes on the property which are quite beautiful, you will see some rock ledges:), and they have hidden some treasure boxes along the routes! The lake is just down the street and is stunning. Hot tub was amazing. What a uniquely wonderful vacation in an absolutely gorgeous setting! Don't hesitate! Book now, you won't regret it!

We loved our stay at the Sanctuary! Never wanted to leave the deck! The water feature and the sounds of nature are amazing. Thank you so much for allowing our little dog to come stay with us. We had a great time walking through the woods. There were so many nature "smells" that he loved. It our first trip to the Branson area and we hope to make many return visits and bring family.

Beauty, Peace and Tranquility are the only words that come to mind. We stayed at the Sanctuary July 12th and 13th and did not want to leave. My husband and I got up early to drink our coffee on the deck and enjoy the peace and reflect on God's beautiful creation. The house is not only perfect but you feel welcome as soon as you enter. Thank you for a wonderful time.

This stay was for my mom's 75th birthday. There were 10 of us altogether we rented both The Sanctuary and The Hiding Place. Thiswasthe best places to stay. The photos didn't do justice for either place. Margie and Bruce were very helpful answered every question and were very helpful. I will refer them and even go back myself along with my family. Everyone was very pleased with the property, very well kept and clean. It was close to everything we were doing golf, Titanic Museum, zipline and fishing. It was the best vacation ever for everyone from the agesof 13 to 75!!!!!! Thank You so much and you'll be hearing from us again to book this property again!!

Everything, photographs, descriptions, ALL understate the experience of spending the three nights there in the forest of tall pines. It is impossible to describe being serenaded by the sounds coming from the trees or seeing turkeys flying from their roosts, and I could go on and on. Oops, I forgot to mention how nice the lodging was, but I was so taken in by the trees and all they provide. All of the descriptions on the web and brochures were understated in my opinion. In the way of referrals, I guess WOW is applicable. The owners were great in anwering any questions.

We stayed at the Sanctuary from April 16 to 22, and the week could not have been more perfect. Margie and Bruce went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay - from the first contact with them we couldn't have asked for better communication, and they kept it up right through our arrival. Everything that is said about this property is accurate, as a matter of fact The Sanctuary is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We brought our beloved labrador with us and were so surprised that there is a large "kennel" (fenced in area) where we could keep him while we were in town. The dog area is a beautiful little spot that blends in perfectly to the woods and landscaping, and if you don't have a dog you won't even realize it's there. During our stay, the weather was gorgeous and relaxing in the hot tub under the pines was the perfect way to unwind and get ready for our wedding day on Apr 18. We went straight from our vows to the Branson Zipline – if you have the time we highly recommend that adventure. What an exciting way to take the plunge! A few days were spent touring Branson, and for us the highlights were the Titanic Museum and the Ducks. Other than our days at The Sanctuary itself (and getting married of course!) our favorite time was spent in Dogwood Canyon. We walked about 5 miles through the park…what a beautiful place! Margie was right when she told me there are more things to do in the Ozarks than you can do in a month, so we can’t wait to return and see what else we can find. We will, however, definitely make the time to relax again at Tall Pines, eat more Pizza by the Chef (we ate there twice…delicious!), and walk until we can’t anymore at Dogwood Canyon. Thanks Margie and Bruce for such a perfect week!

As great as these pictures are, they can't compare to the Sanctuary in reality. Such a peaceful, quiet place compared to the hustle and bustle of Branson. We so didn't want to leave. Even our kids thought it was the "best place ever". The decor and layout of the place was awesome. We used the hot tub every night and just looked up at those tall pine trees. Nothing compares to that peaceful feeling. My husband and I are already trying to find an excuse to come back. It definitely spoiled us from ever wanting to stay anywhere else in Branson. Thanks so much.

My family SO enjoyed our wonderful retreat at Tall Pines. We were constantly commenting about how beautiful, how peaceful, how charming, how relaxing, how quaint, how much we liked the way you added the 'extra' details with the stone work, the wall decor, and on and on. It was so pleasant as we sat and visited on the large deck, among the beautiful tall pines. We were delighted to discover the 'Sanctuary' was as lovely, perhaps even more so, than the pictures depicted.
