Branson Vacation Home Rental:
Tall Pines Sanctuary is a beautiful and unusual home that blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. It is not condo! Its setting is the center of 40 wooded acres with a stand of huge pines surrounding the home. It is perfect for those desiring a peaceful get-away but still interested in enjoying the many Branson attractions. The house has exquisite appointments such as hand-laid stone, stained wood, art glass, waterfalls, solarium and more. We are also pet friendly.
This home sleeps up to 8 people quite comfortably. There are several separate additional homes available for rental on the property that will allow up to 30 people to stay in one location. Please contact us regarding large parties and family reunions staying at Tall Pines.
Tall Pines property is situated at what the locals call the 'quiet' side of the lake. Just south of Branson, we are located off UU on the Long Creek arm of Table Rock Lake. Access for boating and swimming is less than a mile away. We are just eight minutes from Big Cedar Lodge and 20 minutes from Branson's Country Music Boulevard. Four outstanding golf courses are less than fifteen minutes away. Branson's new airport (open May 2009) is also about 20 minutes away. Folks who stay here are amazed at the beauty. They often say 'the pictures don't do it justice!' Stay with us. If you do your whole party will be amazed at how smart and savvy you are for finding such a great place.
Staying at the Sanctuary is a holiday all its own. The house features hand-laid stone walls, and two waterfalls that run along the side of the house. The deck is huge with a sunken hot tub; it is surrounded by a canopy of 75 foot tall native pines. The glass solarium looks out across Persimmon Hollow. There are three bedrooms. The upper level has two bedrooms. The first has a King Canopy bed, the second has a Queen bed, the third is the 3-room Master Suite with a King-size bed and a pullout sofa. Both Kings have new mattresses (May, 2010) Blankets, pillows, linens, and towels will be provided. Many other amenities such as indoor and outdoor surround sound and home theater systems await you.
New in March 2012, 'Woodsong Cottage' (listing #394764) was released for rental. In 2010, we remodeled 'The Hiding Place' (listing #135116) a 2 BR/2BA single level home that sleeps up to 6. In June of 2008 'The Refuge' 3 BR/2BA log home (listing #171960) became available. Please contact us for more information on staying at Tall Pines. If you are looking for something closer to Silver Dollar City, try out our partner: Woods Edge Cabin - 3 Bed, sleeps 6-8 listing #439091.
It is our desire that as people stay at the Sanctuary, they experience the tranquility of the Ozarks and leave with a renewed heart.
* Please note that it is important that both the property and the wildlife be respected. There is no hunting at any time... hence the name, The Sanctuary. We recommend this property for families and senior citizens. Our maximum occupancy limit in the sanctuary is 8 persons, no exceptions. If you have more than 8 please consider renting the 'The Hiding Place' (6 people) or 'The Refuge,' (8-10 people) each easy walking distance to The Sanctuary.

This was our second stay at The Sanctuary. We already have it booked for our stay in Nov.of this year. It is so peaceful that we feel relaxed when we turn into the drive at Tall Pines.I have been in charge of finding a location for our yearly family stays for several years now, The Sancutary has put an end to all the time I used to spend searching. Now just have to make reservations far enough in advance to make sure we get it. You can't beat Margie and Bruce for hosts!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind remarks. We work hard to make our property special for everyone. Your positive comments are such an encouragement to us! Look forward to having you return!

What makes the property special is that it isn't just a place to stay, it's part of your travel experience. We were 'going to Branson' but Tall Pines was the highlight of the trip. A family of three generations (young adult to seniors) and everyone was equally impressed and pleased.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Sanctuary! The home is beautiful and the surrounding area of land it sits on is breathtaking! We had originally planned to spend alot of time in Branson and the surrounding area, but after arriving and feeling all the tension melt away - we decided we should spend more time at the house, walking around; relaxing on the deck and just reflecting on life. Even our little Yorkie, Cricket fell in love with everything! Thank you Margie and Bruce for making this a memorable experience we won't soon forget!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is the most wonderfully relaxing place I've ever been! The house is surrounded by trees, the inside is beautifully decorated with a comfortably woodsy look, a full kitchen, walking trails, fire circle, hot tub, and you're away from the hustle, bustle, and stress of other people. It's close enough to Branson that you can go in and get groceries or do the tourist things if you want, but we honestly didn't want to leave the property because it was so amazing! I felt my blood pressure drop 10 points the second I walked through the door. The owners are friendly helpful people and I'm in love with this place. We will be back every year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were lucky enough to spend an entire week at the Sanctuary for the 4th of July and we immediately felt right at home! The home and property are absolutely gorgeous that I hated leaving it to visit Branson. The beds were so comfortable and loved reading all the books you left on the table with your story and visitors comments. It was great to be able to have our 2 German shepherds with us also. We will definitely return and would love to stay in your other homes at Tall Pines also.Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway.

We stayed at the home from May 9 to May 16. Description/photo accurately reflects the property. Home was clean however extreme amount of fake flowers/foilage and such make a dusty situation with many places for spiders to hide. Light bulbs burnt out in kitchen and main deck area. Owner was helpful in getting maintenace on the hot tub when we needed it but hot tub person did not add enough water for us to use the tub...no hoses available for us to continue filling. We did not want to bug them so did not call for future help on the hot tub. Grounds are stunning and very relaxing, great place for a large gathering.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: We entirely agree with you about the silk plants. The problem is that we do not want to disturb our guests in order to maintain live plants, but can't stay on top of the dust on the silk ones. It reminds me of our Christmas tree each December. Who hoses down their artificial trees before putting them up each December? But that said . . . we entirely agree. We are going to take out the silk and attempt live plants again. As far as maintaining the hot tub . . .we can't make anything perfect unless we know about it. We would rather be bothered than have a disappointed guest. The plug was loose and our son-in-law didn't notice it. There is a hose attached to the deck but it can be hard to see. We started Tall Pines for the purpose of sharing a special place with others. We do whatever we can to make it a wonderful and memorable time for all. If it takes live plants and changing bulbs or adjusting hot tubs . . . we're on it!!

My husband and I just returned home from a wonderful three night stay at Tall Pines' the Sanctuary. What an incredibly beautiful and serene place to get away! I was absolutely distressed at the thought that we had to leave. We would go back again right now if it were available! The house is even more beautiful than the pictures portray(hard to believe I know) and is equipped with literally everything you could think of needing! The property is huge and filled with gorgeous trees. The Gerlach's have mapped out some hikes on the property which are quite beautiful, you will see some rock ledges:), and they have hidden some treasure boxes along the routes! The lake is just down the street and is stunning. Hot tub was amazing. What a uniquely wonderful vacation in an absolutely gorgeous setting! Don't hesitate! Book now, you won't regret it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
About the owner: We are both teachers. Margie guides 7th and 8th graders at Branson J.H. towards excellence in character and beginning Spanish. Bruce improves the quality of culture in the Ozarks by teaching music at College of the Ozarks. Tall Pines is our creative outlet, building and decorating beautiful homes in the idyllic setting of the Ozarks woods.
Why the Owner Chose Branson:
The land is gorgeous! We have easy access to Table Rock Lake, one of the prettiest lakes you will ever see. Its a quick commute on good roads to our work in Branson. Minimal tourist traffic!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy the peaceful countryside away from the bustle of Branson. A large cattle ranch surrounds our property. Another one is just across the road. I love the cows! Almost every other Branson rental is tight up against a lot of other ones, cabins upon cabins and condos upon condos. Ours is not anything like that and we will keep it that way. We honor the beauty of the land. Enjoying nature is of paramount importance. Tall Pines is one of the best places we know for enjoying nature.
