I loved this little home away from home. It's a 10-minute walk from the Plaza and provided a quiet escape from the touristy bustle of downtown. The TV is tiny and the wi-fi is slow so it's not for travelers who are entertainment junkies, but there's too much to do to sit in the room and look at a TV screen anyway. The owners clearly have other things going on in life so I never got a contract before I arrived, but they quickly responded to any questions or concerns I had once I arrived.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The location was good. We enjoyed the walk to the plaza at least twice a day. From the photos, I expected something a little roomier. The room was clean and well equipped but the furniture outside could have been cleaner. I had difficulty connecting with the owner by phone (busy, no answer, answering machine) The TV received only one channel and it had a definite religious flavour. We tried several area restaurants and enjoyed all our meals. I recommend the city tour in the open air bus. It gave us an overview of places we could revisit on our own at our leisure. .Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.

Coming from Austin, TX where winter is a joke, for the first time in years my wife and I had the wonderful experience of waking up to tiny snowflakes dancing on the windows of this Casita, snug and warm in the comfort of radiant heating and soft bedding. The shower was easy to use and spacious, in a delightfully decorated restroom. The interior of this Casita is a hearth of warm tones, complimentary to the wonders of Santa Fe, and ever so easy on the eyes. Having downtown a minute’s walk up the road was like having the entire world in our hands. Santa Fe has everything a relaxing, breathtaking, effortlessly meditative getaway excursion could offer, and this Casita is the place you’ll want to come home to at night when you visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Space is kind of tight, I think 2 people would be really crowded. I would have liked to have a window I could look out of (the one full size window has heavy curtains that are fastened together at top). More info on garbage and recycling--when the pick up is, what can be recycled, etc would be useful. Outside light had burned-out bulb. I replaced with bulb from bedside lamp as getting in after dark was difficult, especially with strange lock on door.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: I am sorry they were not happy, couples stay there regularly and have enjoyed it very much. The lock on the door may not be common for everyone but it is a high-end Pella door with one of their higher end locks. The curtains on the big window open up just fine, I am sorry they were unable to figure out how to use the pull system. We do not expect people to take out the trash on trash day, if they put it in the trash can or recycling bins we take care of the rest. The Casita is not a luxury place but a very nice comfortable accommodation for the price.

We were pleased with our accomodations, except for the wi-fi which did not work consistently. The small TV was a disappointment do to the fact the Olympics were on.We normally don"t watch much TV on our holidays we are usually out meeting new people and seeing the sites in the area. The casita was a easy walk to the Plaza each night which was great. We really fell in love with Santa Fe and felted warmly received as a first time vistior. We especially enjoyed the entertainment on the plaza each evening after eating some wonderful meals nearby. The Shed is over rated in our opinion. We had a delicious meals at the Bull Ring,Santacafe,Wecks and IL Vicino wood pizza. We had great day trips to Madrid, Toas,Albuquerque and the jermez mts.Santa Fe was the highlight of our trip and we took many pictures to add to our memories.Sunsets were special too. Thanks so much for your hospitallyRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We spent 5 nights at the casita and wish we could have stayed longer! Clean, comfortable and an incredible location! Walking distance to the Plaza, Guadalupe St and the Rail Yard and easy access to 285/84 for side trips to Taos, Abiquiu and beyond. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and made our stay trouble free. The photos do not do justice to this charming casita. We will be returning for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

my husband surprised me with a get-away to Santa Fe and we stayed in this charming casita. We parked and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Only a few blocks from the Plaza and so many great places to eat and museums and shops! Everything we needed was within walking distance. The casita was very comfortable and the owners are super nice. We locked ourselves out one very late night and they were so gracious and came to our rescue! I would very much recommend this adorable casita for a great weekend get-away!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This casita was perfect! It is beautifully decorated and very private, a stroll to the Plaza and great restaurants! There is off street, very safe parking. We loved staying here and would highly recommend this place to anyone. The owners are wonderful people and you can't beat the price! It is so close to downtown and in a quiet neighborhood. The place was clean, cozy and tastefully done. You won't be disappointed!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/6
