The Cottage is located 10 miles East of Wiggins on a 40 acre farm. It is about 2 miles from Red Creek which has a public boat launch for launching canoes. There are ponds on the farm for fun fishing, and fishing poles and a flat boat is provided. It's a great place to "camp" for those visiting the nearby four wheeler sites. The nearest town is Wiggins. Flint Creek Water Park is located there for the serious fishermen and a water slide is available for the kids. It also has a great golf course at Pine Burr Country Club which is a great course with affordable green fees. Blaylock Park has tennis courts which are free to the public. There are several interesting eateries and antique and resale shops in town. It's a great place for Snowbirds to spend the winter months.
The Farmhouse was renovated in 2004. It has ceramic tile and is tastefully furnished. It's a nice place to get away, get back to a simple life and "rough" it for a weekend. Bring your telescope, sit outside and look at the stars, build a fire inside or outside in the firepit, listen for the coyotes, or watch the horses and cows. It's a totally relaxing getaway- providing a unique way to spend a weekend. There is another home on the property that can be rented for a large family gathering. |
