This single-level home is located two blocks from the beach, with wonderful white-water views of Pirates Cove and the Fiscalini Preserve. Relax and listen to the waves crashing on the rocks, and the seals calling to one another. Or, take a hike on one of the many trails in the Fiscalini Ranch across the street. The views from this home are simply breath-taking.
Shammel Park is close by, with picnic facilities and a swimming pool. The coastline is rugged with a Big Sur feel, but the beach is nearby if you wish to stroll and gather shells and rocks. Hearst Castle is ten minutes away, with daily tours, complete with an IMAX Theater, and the drive north affords a view of one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world. There is a park adjacent to it with a pier which affords fishing and kayaking.
Cambria is a small town nestled in one of the last strands of Monterey Pines in California, and is home to a variety of birds and marine life. Along its Main Street are charming boutiques, gift shops, and fine dining.
Moonstone Beach is famous for its natural beauty and numerous tide pools. There are well-maintained trails and outdoor cafes that enable one to relax and unwind while enjoying glorious sunsets and the invigorating Central California coast.

We had 3 couples from one family between Xmas and New Year. The house was perfect with all the kitchen amenities and we even took advantage of the charcol barbeque grill. The view were gorgeous and was appreciated by all as we are city dwellers. Everything was in working order and there are ample plates, utensils, pots, and gadgets to cook. There were some basics supplies (spices, dishwashing detergent, coffee filter, plastic wrap etc..) which made cooking much easier the first day. It got cold but the thermostat was easy to figure out. It is a very easy day drive to Paso Robles wine tasting and sea food bonanza at Morro Bay. The only complaint we had is that it is not bright enough to do some reading in the dining room or living room in the evening. We had no problems with TV and internet (this was important to some of us). We had two seniors staying so the one floor plan was perfect. We would have no hesitations recommending this place.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad everyone had an enjoyable stay in our home! Maryann and I appreciate all comments, and take any complaints seriously and work at making a stay in our home a memorable one.

Wonderful house w/ a wonderful view and even better . . . a lovely walking preserve right across the street. Cambria appeals to the naturalist as well as the urbanite . . . we had a wonderful time. When we visit again, we're looking up this house again. Couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This rental home is fantastic! We absolutely loved it. One of the best rentals in Cambra and we have stayed at many homes and hotels in the area. We have finally found our home to rent in Cambria for the price. This home is pet friendly too. We take our Golden Retriever wherever we go, and it's just fine. Backyard is small, but big enough to take care of business. Fiscalini Ranch Preserve's Huntington entrance is just a couple blocks up the hill. Plenty of room for exercise and running the dog. If that's not enough, try the beach close to Hearst Castle. More fun for doggies to be had. The cleanest home we have rented. Only thing is housekeeping just needs to swiffer under the couches. That's it, the only thing I could find that wasn't perfect. We just wish we had more time to enjoy it. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait until our next trip there.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers.

We had a marvelous Thanksgiving meal in your home. We love all the changes! Cooking in your new kitchen was such fun! I brought some of my own kitchen items just in case! This home has such a lovely ambiance to it. This marks our 3rd stay here and we're looking forward to other opportunities to return in the future!Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: Maryann and I live in the San Fernando Valley. She is an RN for Kaiser Permanente, and I work out of our home. We have no children, but have 2 cats that we take with us whenever we stay in our Cambria home!
Why the Owner Chose Cambria:
This home is special to us, and we are planning to retire in it someday! We love Cambria (who wouldn't love this place?) and chose it because of its location in Park Hill and its wonderful views of the Preserve and ocean.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Ranch Trails are close at hand. Just walk up Huntington Road past 6-7 houses and to the right between 2 homes you will see the entrance to the Fiscalini Upper Trail! This trail hooks up with all of the other trails in the ranch, including the popular Bluff Trail, so you can start and end your tour of the ranch area right "next" to our home. Also, Shamel Park is only a 5 minute walk away (beach area, pool, picnic tables, etc).
