Ocean kayaks are provided for enjoying the seals and other wildlife in the bay. Dig for clams or oysters on your private beach, then eat them for dinner. There is a 16' Hobbie Cat available for an extra charge. Experienced sailors only, a resume will be required. For those who wish to bring their own boat, we do have a floating jet dock, a close public boat launch, and a close marina. There are three separate homes on this property. These vacation rental homes may be rented separately or together for the perfect family reunion setting. Wisteria Hollow is the main house and has three bedrooms and a third story loft with 4 twin beds-great for kids! The master bedroom has a king bed and its own deck with a stunning view of the cove. Each of the other bedrooms have queen beds. There is another deck off the living room and a large patio area.

The home has two and a half baths and sleeps 6-12. Experience the gorgeous kitchen-a chefs delight-with stainless appliances, including a large stove/oven/grill with copper hood and a large tile and wood block island. The working blue antique woodburning stove adds that cozy warmth every kitchen needs.The views from the living room, master bedroom and private spa are stunning. There is also a charming cottage on this gated property. Cottage-by-the-Sea has one large bedroom with a king bed,and a daybed w/trundle that is great as a lounging area or overflow sleeping for children. There is a queen sofa sleeper in the living room and one and a half baths.The Cottage-by-the-Sea comfortably sleeps 2-6 people. (see "All my Rental Listings") This is the perfect weekend getaway from the city, for a romantic occasion or just to relax alone or with friends.
A 2 bedroom apartment above the garage adjacent to the property is also available. Can be additional sleeping space, teenage extra room or rented separately for a great weekend retreat. Provides additional parking.
All of these waterfront vacation rental homes are totally newly furnished. The furniture, 300ct sheets and down bedding, towels, luxurious linens, dishes, kitchen utensils, pans-are all brand new.
The beach, water amenities provided and sport court on the grounds are shared between all houses. Spa use is for Wisteria Hollow only. With two acres of gated privacy there is plenty of room. Lakebay is a peaceful community on the peninsula southwest of Seattle. Enjoy the ferry ride to Bremerton, then the scenic drive through the Northwest's forests and water views to Lakebay. Cross the bridge at Purdy for easy access to picturesque Gig Harbor and Tacoma. A biking paradise-any kind of biking you like! If you own your own boat or jetski, bring it along. There is a public boat ramp very close and we have a floating jetdock that you are welcome to use. It's also great for the kids to swim or kayak to and fish off. My family spent several days at this property and enjoyed it very much. The owner was friendly & hospitable and addressed our concerns quickly and efficiently. The photos represent the home and gardens well. An overall good experience.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This home is perfect for a large family. The kitchen is a chef's dream with more than enough room to have the whole family cooking at one time. The view is spectacular and the house is well maintained. The house is worth the drive and provides a quiet atmosphere to relax and unwind.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This property provided an excellent site for a family reunion. It has great views of Puget Sound and cozy, light, elegant architecture in the main house and cottage. The grounds were well maintained and colorful. You can paddle kayaks out into the sound and get an awesome view of Mt. Rainier. It got rave reviews from other family members of all ages. The only drawback were the small beds in the attic rooms in the big house and the heat in those rooms when the outside temperatures were in the 80s or 90s (there is AC in the house but not up there). They cooled down at night but that took a while. With normal temperatures outside these are are a good place for the kids to hide out and play games.
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of five (plus a friend) stayed at this home -- and we had various family members drop in and out during our visit. I can promise you that the pictures don't do it justice. The property is stunning -- the views almost unimaginably beautiful and peaceful. We could kayak out in the morning, visited by the occasional sea otter, come back and laze on the lawn, or cook a meal in the fantastic catering-grade kitchen -- supplemented by the wonderful farmer's markets that dot the area in the summer. It is a bit of a haul from Seattle -- but worth it. Plenty of room, lots to do -- or not do. Really beautiful. Enjoy!

A good vacation spot with a few details needing work. The large grounds are a nice bonus, great for large family or other gatherings. My family stayed for a week, and overall the home was fine, but a few details were irksome. We used all three homes, the main house, the cottage and the apartment, so that amounted to 20 people. The grounds were great, but for some stupid reason the sprinklers were set to go off every night at 5:00 pm AND in the middle of the night. That made relaxing on the grounds or playing croquet or volleyball a bit of a risky venture. Also, with 20 people to feed, we found the kitchen of the big house big enough to cook in, but the details were lacking. We had one small baking dish and too few plates and bowls. We had to borrow heavily from houses down the street just to cook and eat a meal. This was a pain. One would think that a house that could sleep 12 would come with enough equipment to feed the occupants. Finally, one of the main house 'bedrooms' does not actually close off, so the occupants must listend to the living room conversation until late at night, like it or not. This is not stated or shown in the pictures, so was a bit misleading.
Owner response:The main home, Wisteria Hollow does sleep 12 people in beds. It does have dinner plates, salad plates, glasses, mugs, cereal bowls and all silverware for 18 -20 people--in just that home. The other 3 homes-one across a small country lane, and the Cottage-right next door--have additional dinnerware. The third bedroom does have a small, window size opening over the top of the stairway, that does not close off.
