My family from out of town and I stayed at this fabulous home for a week and really enjoyed our experience. After spending our time outdoors biking, hiking and boating, we all looked forward to relaxing in this beautiful spacious home. The views are amazing, the inside furnishings and carpet are new and the appliances, kitchen and bathrooms made us feel like royalty. We'll be back during ski season for sure.

beautiful home but needs a big TLC make-over

There were so many small but important issues with this house. It had light bulbs burnt out, the knob broken off the shower, the sheets were not the full length of the bed, the garage is listed as a two-car garage but is half-filled with the owners junk. The TV is old, no satellite TV, VERY old VCR and tuner, chairs and carpets were old, stove unit was missing the bottom panel, etc. With some TLC, this place would be absolutely amazing but as it is right now, it felt a little dated, dirty, and ghetto. Also, it should be noted that each bedroom has 3 or more beds in it. So while it allegedly sleeps 20, it doesnt do much for couples who want some privacy.
Owner response:Same group writing multiple nasty comments!!! One group that stays only two nights with 18 people and expect the 4 family suites (see next review) to have private sleeping areas for for 9 couples? Not in a 4 suite home, they needed to pay the price for a 9 Bedroom home. My home is well taken care of again having the spring face lift to take care of the minor issues. Yes, with over a 100 light bulbs in the house I did find 3 burned out after this guest. (about 30 new bulbs in the cabinet above the range) Please look at the next comment where multiple families came for the holidays staying a week (niot just 2 nights) and paid 4 times the rate this group did.

A Christmas to remember!

This beautiful home was the perfect setting for a Christmas to remember for my family from Nebraska and South Dakota. The photos do not accurately show all the room in this home. Every family had their own suite and even when we were all in the Kitchen and Great Room, cooking, playing cards, watching movies, and eating, there was plenty of room! All of the bathrooms are huge, with plenty of hot water and the convenience of the washer/dryer helped those who traveled so far. The location is fantastic, away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes, but with the bunny hill just down the road. We had a small fox visit us one evening and peak in the window! The owners were very helpful, responding to questions before our visit and having the snow shoveled right before we arrived and taking care of the hot tub. We would love to come in the summer and stay and recommend this home for anyone needing accomodations for families..
Owner response:Thanks for the wonderful comments, glad you enjoyed a great holiday season at my home. Mark

We rented this house in the summer. The size was great for a family. I'm sorry to say that when I walked in and saw how dirty it was I was very disappointed. This house was just filthy! You pay for a cleaning fee but boy were their cleaners awful. There was dried food on every kitchen counter and even the walls! The inside of the refrigerator was dirty, the stove was dirty, none of the hard wood floors had been swept much less washed. Even the dinning table had dried food on the table cloth. The bathrooms were very dirty with hair in the showers. splatters on the mirrors and rings in the toilets. When I called the owner he never returned my call. I called the cleaning company and they sent out two ladies to clean the bathrooms and sweep (not wash) the floors the following morning. That meant I had to spend the first morning of my vacation with the cleaners. I had to clean the kitchen and refrigerator myself the first night so that we could use the kitchen. The gas grill had broken knob, shower with no knob for water control, stove propped up on boards,no ice maker as claimed, no telephone as claimed, missing crank for a window (could not close against the rain), the view is of a parking lot for Keystone resort with truck traffic. The house is a cross the street from the stables so you do get some smells. The garage is full of storage for the owner so you have no covered parking as advertised. Other renters had comments in the guest book about many of the problems and the fact that this home needs TLC. They ask you to remove your shoes to protect the floors so your feet turn black with the dirt. This is a house that could be wonderful and you could over look some problems, but not FILTH! Overall the house is very neglected and the owner is unresponsive. I would not stay here again. .
Owner response:Unbelievable what guests for just a couple of nights to my home do to damage my advertising 3 months after departingfrom my home. Yes, there was a cleaning issue which was taken care of immediately. Too bad I let friends use my home who promised they would leave it in better shape after departing before my next guest arrived. I have been renting this home for a number of years and for the most part comments are not left. See the other comments.
