Escape to the most romantic and yet family-friendly retreat you could ever imagine among the whispering pines.
Directly on a beautiful clear three mile long lake, "Pinecone" faces west for glorious sunsets. Swim or kayak right off the dock. Watch the water-skiing competition, and even the occasional float-plane landing from your deck as you sip cocktails and wait for that perfect steak to finish grilling. Or toast marshmallows down at the firepit by the shore, while telling ghost stories. Precious time stops at Pinecone.
Incredible fishing. We catch bass and trout right off the dock! We also have abundant wildlife: moose, deer, loons, geese, eagles, fox coyotes, hawks, etc. You truly are far from the madding crowd, and yet close to everything at Pinecone - lakefront without the lakes region traffic of Route 302. Private Highland Lake is Portland's best kept secret.
