Totally secluded behind the towering Jack Pines, nestled on almost three acres is this private retreat! After a day on the beach swimming or riding the waves, relax in the spacious yard and have an evening bonfire. Whether your preference is peace and tranquility, or an action packed vacation, The Beachcomber offers it all!
This 1900 square foot home offers all you need to have a vacation filled with special memories. Enjoy an evening in the game room shooting pool or reading a good book in front of the woodburning fireplace. Feeling like a good movie? Feel free to sit down and snuggle up in the great room with cable TV or over 100 VHS and DVD movies to choose from.
The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and cable ready TV. The second bedroom offers a queen-size four poster bed with stereo/CD system. The third bedroom offers two twin beds with TV and DVD player, stereo and Game Cube System. There are two bathrooms, each with its own shower, complete with towels and complimentary toiletries.
The kitchen is fully stocked for any type of gourmet cooking you do! Prefer to cook outdoors, we offer a large deck with gas grill and patio furniture. If you are feeling adventurous try your hand at cooking over the bonfire, complete with tripod for cooking.
Check out some of the areas great attractions. For the avid golfer we are 15 minutes from the American Club, where last years PGA golf tournament was held. We are also just three miles down the road from Harrington State Park and 15 minutes from the Beautiful Marina of Port Washington. For the adventurous water sportsmen bring your Boats, Jet-skis, WaveRunners, there is a Semi-private boat launch less than a mile away, so feel free to bring all your toys!

Adorable Family Vacation House

In light of the previous review listed, I took my chances and booked a week in August for my family of 6. This home meet all expectations and thensome. Home was roomier than expected, there were about 10 bikes all ready to ride, kites, beach toys, plenty of cookware & stemware for happy hour with guests. There were notes left with telephone numbers of the owner, restaurant suggestions, and while out on the beach we met relatives of the owners who were so very warm, friendly and accomodating. This was a lovely way for my family to visit relatives yet still feel as though they were on vacation! We rode bikes & swam at the lake everyday, had bbq's & roasted marshmellows under the stars. A bonus is the piano in the living room, which my children and their cousins enjoyed playing every day. Watched the sunrise, and the beautiful deer meandering accross the property every morning! We will surely be back.
Recommended for:Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We had a great time at the Beachcomber last week. The beach and surrounding area is beautiful. The home was nice and had everything we needed, but we were disappointed in some things that were listed on the vrbo site that we unavailable/non-existant at the home. Our kids were excited to ride bikes and after reading the listing we did not bring our own. All six bikes in the garage had flat tires. The slot machine was broken (or needs reset). The double oven in the kitchen looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. There were no canoes and paddles as listed. The DVD players on both televisions were inoperable. As stated, we had a good time, but were disappointed in promises made in the listing that weren't not what we found on arrival.
Owner response:This is a very unfair statement! Never at any point did the guest make 1 call to notify us that there were any problems! First of all the bike tires were out of air not flat (3 bikes) and there was a pump right there to fill them. Only 1 of the 2 dvd players did not work and there is a KYAK sitting right on the beach for use of the renters. A simple phone call could had made your stay much more enjoyable and things could have been clarified.

Thank you to two wonderful young people for an absolutely fantastic weekend at this beautiful place. It was the dream of a lifetime to have such a great place and lovely location to spend time with our family. The children had a fantastic time and the adults thought they died and went to heaven. Never have we slept as good as we did there. A must stay at place for anyone. We have definitely been blessed.
