Welcome to Wingshot Lodge! Located inside Clifftops Resort at the top of Monteagle Mountain. This spacious, mountain retreat is located on six acres and the Stephen Fuller floor plan is designed for entertaining.
The upstairs features three bedrooms: one with private bath and queen-size bed. Other two feature full-size beds, one with permanent baby crib, shared Jack and Jill full bath. Playroom down the hall has three twin beds, VCR, children's videos, and toys.
Downstairs, master suite features double-size sleigh bed with jacuzzi bath and private shower. Den behind the kitchen features two twin beds and a full bath. The pool table room, dining room, family room, half bath, and gourmet kitchen with eating area are also located downstairs.
The lodge is perfect for family reunions, corporate retreats, and is a perfect gathering place for Saint Andrews and University of the South Events: homecoming, graduation, Parents Weekend, Crossing, Lessons and Carols, or Sewanee's beloved old-fashioned Fourth of July.
Just want a weekend away from the city - Wingshot is the perfect place for your family and friends. Planning a wedding on the mountain? Wingshot Lodge is perfect for the family of the bride or groom and can host smaller rehearsal dinners, bridesmaid's luncheons, and breakfast the day after the wedding. Every guest will enjoy the back screened wicker porch featuring an outdoor mountain stone fireplace. This is a favorite place for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Darts and "the ring game" are a favorite on the back porch. The pool table room is the perfect spot for the men, while the women enjoy sitting around the spacious kitchen. There is still plenty of room for children with a playroom upstairs as well as a foosball table in the back den, where many enjoy playing poker or putting together a puzzle. Nothing is better than lounging in front of the large, indoor, mountain, stone fireplace graced by "Boo" the Caribou. Whatever your occasion, Wingshot Lodge is sure to become a favorite home-away-from-home you will want to return to year after year.
Once inside the gated Clifftops community, enjoy numerous hiking and walking trails suitable for all ages. The bluff views are spectacular near the out door pool and permanent grills have been built in this area. Tennis courts and a small playground are located near the pool. The lake offers a swimming area with a sand beach and a fishing dock.
There are two clubhouses available, one at the pool and a larger lake clubhouse - perfect for a corporate meeting or rehearsal dinner. The clubhouses can be rented for additional costs as a sponsored Wingshot Lodge guest.
If you decide to venture outside Wingshot, there are several local restaurants, several who provide catering services at Wingshot. Several boutiques, local art, and antique shops are also nearby. Golfers can take advantage of several local courses. The historic Monteagle Sunday School Grounds are a five-minute drive from the home.
