Our smoke-free one bedroom third floor villa sits directly on the ocean where you can watch dolphins frolic and pelicans fly at eye level from your living room and balcony. The living area offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and provides an additional side window for panoramas of Fripp Inlet and Hunting Island as well as overlooking the private pool.

Relax during your stay on Fripp or choose from a variety of sporting acitivies. Walk our private 3 mile beach and observe the tide pools, the huge sandbars that stretch out into the ocean and the enchanting island birds. A perfect swimming beach with fine sand, it changes daily as the low and high tides come and go. Fripp is a sanctuary for wildlife and home to deer, dolphin, porpoise and sea turtles. Fishing is always in season. Stop by the Fripp Island Marina Ship Store, pick up a couple of sandwiches and head for one of the hot fishing or crabbing locations. Nearby Hunting Island, the jewel of the South Carolina State Parks with its 5,000 acres of natural beach and wildlife habitat, offers hiking trails, kayaking and other adventure opportunities. A Nature Center and large fishing and observation pier is located on Hunting Island - just over the Fripp Bridge.

Although it feels secluded, Fripp Island is just a short drive to some of the country's most historic sites in Beaufort, Savannah and Charleston. The charming riverfront town of Beaufort is named "favorite small Southern town" by readers of Southern Living
Magazine. A Beaufort sightseeing adventure can begin by foot, bicycle, boat or horse drawn carriage. Stroll through the waterfront historic district and admire the architecture, gallery hop, shop or dine at one of the fine restaurants which overlook the river. Many of Hollywood's finest movies have been filmed here and on Fripp Island including Forest Gump, Prince of Tides, The Big Chill, The Great Santini, and Jungle Book.

  • Stayed a short weekend in October, 2005 and loved the place. It is very inviting, clean, and decorated well. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, silverware, glasses, etc. I felt very much at home here. The view is fantastic and the island has many wonderful surprises. I hope we will be coming back in the near future. Thanks much Mr. Richards, we appreciated your hospitality and kindness.

  • Spent a wonderful week on Fripp Island. Loved the condo with the ocean view. We had great weather and enjoyed the beach, sitting by the pool (which is right outside the condo) and a couple rounds of golf. If you want to relax, this is the place to go. Pete is a great host.

  • Stayed in this villa the week of July 4th. Perfect vacation. The villa was beautiful, view fantastic and island was awesome. Pete made sure everything was in order, even called and made sure everything was alright when we arrived. Will stay again, and again....
