Our three bedroom, two bath home has a king, queen and two twin beds (sleeps six), living room, well-appointed open kitchen, large enclosed lanai, and patio with Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture. Our smoke-free home is furnished in island style to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. You’ll feel right at home while you barbecue dinner on the patio, relax in the screened-in lanai, wander to and from the beach, watch movies or cable TV, play games with the family or drift off to sleep on the comfortable new beds. We even have wireless internet access for your laptop computer so that you can stay connected!
And best of all is our location - just 250 steps from Kailua Beach. You can pick up your cappuccino at the Kalapawai Market on your walk to the beach every morning and your shave ice (snow cone) at Island Snow every afternoon on your walk home. Whether you rent windsurfers or kayaks on the beach or just use all the beach toys that come with the house - boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs/mats/towels and cooler - walking to the beach right around the corner from the house makes the days seem long and leisurely and just right for that relaxing vacation you're looking for.
And when you get tired of beach activities, Kailua town, with its restaurants, shopping and entertainment is just a mile away. And, in 25 minutes or less, you can swim with the dolphins at Sea Life Park, snorkel in Hanauma Bay, hike the stunning Ko’olau mountains, swim/surf the North Shore, browse the 'Swap Meet' at the Aloha Stadium, sample Honolulu’s nightlife, walk Waikiki Beach or get to the airport.
Larger gathering? There is also a detached one bedroom, one bath cottage on the property with a queen bed in a separate bedroom and queen sofa bed in the living room (sleeps two to four), kitchen/eating area, and covered patio with its own Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture.

The Unique Benefits at this House
Being located right around the corner from Kailua Beach Park means that you can go back and forth to the beach all day without loading and unloading everything into and out of the car. I love being able to pick up my latte at the Kalapawai Market in the morning before my beach stroll, and we have a family ritual of shave ice every afternoon from Island Snow (President Obama's favorite before-dinner snack with his kids!)

My husband and I have had this property for about 15 years. At first, we rented it out to regular tenants but that limited our opportunities to use the place ourselves. Since my husband's family had lived in Kailua for many years during their high school years and had many fond memories of the island, we wanted to be able to bring our own family back to Kailua on a regular basis and create our own family memories. About 4 years ago, we decided to convert to vacation rentals and have been able to enjoy many happy days as a family here. We hope that you find our place as comfortable for your family as we do for ours!

We just came back from our one-week-vacation at your house in Kailua and absolutely loved it. The garden was perfect for our 16-months-old son, he could have stayed there the whole trip. The beach was so close by that we went there at least 2-3 times a day. The house was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the holidays. Thank you very much, we will definitely try to come back soon again.

We have rented the house in Kailua twice now. We really love it. It has everything that you need to have a great vacation. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. It has every amenity you could possibly need. My favorite features are the washer/dryer (no need to over-pack + we were at the beach all the time so washing the towels was a must) and the king size bed in the master bedroom. I also really appreciate 2 full bathrooms. We made full use of the kitchen and the BBQ on the patio in the back yard. We have 2 boys, a 6 month old and a 2.5 year old who LOVES the beach. It is really handy to be a 2 minute walk from the house to Kailua beach, and a quick drive to Lanikai beach. They provide a number of beach toys, boogie boards etc and big beach towels which we walk down to the beach with. They also have a cooler so we would load it with ice and take drinks/food to the beach. There is an outdoor shower at the house to get the salt and sand off which is really nice. We really like the Kalapawai Market (steps from the house). They have great coffee, and we would often stop for snacks or get an ice cream on the way back from the beach.

My family and I recently rented Lisa's house in Kailua and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was just wonderful with comfortable couches, chairs and beds. We really enjoyed the decor of the house and all the amendities. I have to say that it came equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need on vacation. We loved how conveniently close everything was. We could walk to a beautiful beach in about 4 minutes and a quaint little market in about two minutes. We could also walk to get lunch and shaved ice across the street and around the corner or just BBQ in the spacious and lush backyard. It was really not necessary to drive outside the property with everything so close. We did do sightseeing and this house was conveniently located to all the other attractions. We really liked the town of Kailua and would definitely rent this property again!! The locals were all very friendly and helpful. I'd have to say that it was probably the best vacation property we have rented so far!!

I just wanted to write to tell you how wonderful our stay was! The house was comfortable, spacious and your attention to detail really helped to make our stay perfect. The beds were very comfortable, there was every amenity we needed and it was so relaxing sitting outside on the patio in the early mornings for coffee and evenings for barbeques. I loved the proximity to the best beach in the world! It was very close yet still allowed privacy at the house. We used the lawn chairs, beach toys and the outside shower was certainly a plus. We travel to Oahu for a combination of business and pleasure every year and plan to stay at your home again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
