Why the Owner Chose Kamaole Sands
After traveling the world, we kept coming back to Maui. Once we found Kamaole Sands, we never wanted to go anywhere else. When we finally decided to purchase a vacation rental there was no question where it would be - Kamaole Sands!!! 15 acres directly across the street from one of the best beaches in Maui! The grounds of Kamaole Sands are breathtakingly beautiful - big, dancing fountains and ponds, Koi Ponds, a super sized pool that is always pristine and two jaccuzzi's. The kiddie pool is great for our friends and guests who have little ones, plus there are lifeguards at the beach across the street to help keep an eye out too! Tennis courts, rec room and fantastic views from our condo made buying here the obvious choice. My husband's attitude was "if we like it here so much that we keep coming back, wouldn't other people do the same?" He was so right - most of our guests re-book as soon as their stay if over!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Kamaole Sands is in a great location - South Kihei isn't too busy, but close to everything! We are located next door to Wailea - known for it's famous golf courses and fabulous shopping. Of course, you never know what famous person you just may run into! Kamaole Sands could be a destination in itself - super sized pool, tennis courts, jaccuzzi's, lush landscaping and so much more, but it is also located directly across the street from a beautiful park with restrooms, playground, bar b que areas and a fantastic beach! Then there are all the shops and restaurants that are within walking distance - a perfect location!
If you like to fish or go whale watching, Kihei boat ramp is also within walking distance and there is the local Maui Bus that stops in front of the complex if you wish to travel further.
Pilani Hiway (Maui's answer to the expressway) is just a few minutes away - allowing you to go to "town" - to places like Costco, Wal-Mart, Super K-Mart, Lowe's or a major 2 story shopping mall within about a 15-20 minute drive.
Kihei Town is quaint and the people are warm and friendly - Kamaole Sands is a large complex (440 condos) with a lot of amenties and is kid friendly. Our condo is located in Building 10 - the closest to the beach and the most requested. It has the Extra Large Lanai, giving our guests wonderful views of the Romantic Maui Sunsets and of the ocean and outter islands.
The ONLY Hardware store in Kihei - also has art supplies, fishing tackle and swim stuff
Cafe O'Lei - great restaurant at reasonable prices ($10 sandwiches) ($18 -25 Dinner. Try the Crab Salad BLT for lunch - wonderful and so yummy!!! Great Fish and More!

Welcome to our piece of Heaven on Earth! Some call it Paradise and we agree! Our names are Jim and Sandi Resheske. We live in Southern Ca. most of the time, but spend as much time as possible on Maui ~ that is where our hearts are! We are retired, but have two teenage daughters so are "still grounded" until they leave home. Once they are gone, Maui will most likely become our permanant home, but no worries, we will continue to keep our condo at Kamaole Sands for all of our "Extended Family" - Guests, like you!
From the time our girls were small, Maui has always been their favorite place to go. We have traveled the World and we agree with them, there is just no other place like it! There is alway so much to see and do that you never get bored, and if doing "nothing" is what you are after, then Maui if perfect for that too!
As stressful as life is these days, Maui continues to always bring a smile to our faces. Life is just easier here and a little better!

Checking in at the front desk was very easy, directions from owners well organized and concise. The feeling on walking in the door of the condo was one of warm welcome by the special touches provided by the owners and delight in the updated bedroom and ensuite. Cozy well supplied kitchen, great selection of books and movies available, and we greatly appreciated the beach equipment that was available, and the lanai was large and comfortable. We left two newly purchased life jackets as one of our party was disabled and the other elderly. Building 10 is definitely the prime building with it's proximity to the beach which was one of our main activities. Maui rocks. Definitely would return to the same beautiful unit. Compared to other units we saw (one in same building) and one in a different resort altogether, we felt we had the most up-to-date, clean, and well cared-for condo.

We just got back from 2 weeks in Maui and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The furnishings are tasteful, comfortable and of better quality than the other condos we visited during our stay. This was our 4th trip to Maui and this condo is absolutely our favorite. The grounds are beautiful with ocean and garden views and excellent access to all beaches. The cupboards were well stocked with all the cooking equipment required. Quite an assortment of spices and condiments as well. We will definitely be booking this condo again.

This review is long overdue! My husband and I enjoyed a week of relaxation in this wonderful location. I did not have to worry about a thing, even down to buying the sunscreen. It was all there for us. The condo was clean and nicely updated. FULLY equipped with everything you could possibly think of needing. Great location to the beach, bbq's and the pool. The lanai has a great view of the ocean, with a nice lounge chair in place - perfect for enjoying the sunsets. We've stayed in 2 other units in Kamoale Sands, and I think we've found "Maui Home" for our visits to come. We were beyond pleased with the accommodations offered. Mahalo!!!

This condo is amazing. It has everything you will need for your stay in Maui. The lanai is huge with ocean and garden views. The lanai closet is fully stocked with boogie boards, coolers, beach mats, beach chairs, etc. The brand new master bathroom is simply gorgeous. The decorating is beautiful and you have will no have doubt you are in are in Hawaii - the furniture is beautiful island-style furniture. The condo really felt like "home away from home". The complex itself is wonderful - right across the street from one of the best beaches in Maui. The swimming pool is huge and the grounds are meticulously maintained. There are lots of shops and some great restaurants within walking distance and everything else is just a short drive away. Sandi was fantastic to work with and is simply the nicest and most professional person I've ever done business with. All emails were promptly returned and she answered any and all questions we had. I would absolutely recommend this property to a friend or relative and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Maui.

We just retuned from a wonderful family vacation in Maui to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. The condo was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. We were impressed with all the extra's which included a stocked kitchen, a closet filled with towels, DVD's, and a lanai closet with beach goodies. My husband & I had our 15 month old son with us and his pack-n-play fit nicely beside our bed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the newly renovated master bathroom. It was really nice having breakfast on the lanai enjoying the ocean view. Building 10 really is the best building to stay in as it is only steps from the beach. We will definitely recommend this condo to our family & friends.

We just wanted to thank Sandy for having this place available to rent. It is as described and better. The location across the street from the beach is wonderful and with all the equipment available for the guests, it was great. We had boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, ice chest and even two snorkle sets available for our use.The lanai was about 13/14ft and wonderful to enjoy the evening sunsets and ocean views. The breeze from the lanai and windows kept the place so cool we did not even use the air conditioner. The facilities of the complex, pool and office internet with printer were great. We plan on going back and had a fantastic time. Thanks......

The best condo that I have rented since I starting vacationing in Maui. The pictures did not do justice to the unit it was very comfortable with lots of amenities. The Lanai is to die for. Great view but quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked with supplies. The location is perfect,you can walk to alot of stores & restaurants and the beach is just across the street. We enjoyed Freds Mexican Cafe which we walked to. I would recommend the unit to others, in fact I just reserved for next year.

Just returned home from another vacation on Maui in Sandi and Jims Condo. Once again it was perfect. Everything you could ask for in a condo rental. It is like being in your own home. We enjoyed our breakfast on the lanai every morning, overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the ocean. We made good use of the barbeques, the pool, and the park across the street. Enjoyed 3 Mai Tai party's held on Wednesday's at pool side. The Murphy bed in the living room is great to have instead of just a sofa bed. This building and condo location is ideally situated to make use of the mostly gentle trade winds to keep the condo cool. There was no need to use the air conditioner whatsoever. We are already booked for next year, and are looking forward to our return if all goes well. Thanks Sandi and Jim for your condo rental.
