Christmas 2011

Guest: D N.
Date of Stay: 12/22/11 Review Submitted: 02/05/12

We decided that this Christmas we would spend it away from home and after a lot of research decided on Rejuvenation. It was a Christmas that we will never forget and the best part was that we felt like we were at home -truly a lovely place to spend time with family and friends!! Jim and Geri (property owners) were amazing, they reply very promptly to emails and the house was exactly as they described it - probably even better than they described. Great people and a great place - I would highly recommend a stay here as one will not be dissapointed.

Owner response:We appreciate our lovely guests that keep "Rejuvenation" with great guests the year around because they take the time to writing an evaluation. Come join them, Jim & Geri

Never Wanted to Leave Visited mid September, 2011

Rejuvenation was everything it was advertised to be.....we were awed by the beauty outside from the very first minute. The sunrises and sunsets are absolutely awesome. The house felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. It was nice and had all the necessities. The seaside theme is well stated in the home decor. The beds were so comfortable to retire to at the end of each busy day. But we were there to explore the outdoors. St. Vincent Island across the pass and St. Joseph State Park were both must sees with great white sand beaches and crystal clear water. We fished and crabbed off the beach by the house. The seashells were abundant and every morning there was a new selection from which to choose. The wildlife was abundant. Sitting out on the porches we could see dolphins in the pass, pelicans across on St. Vincent, eagles in the pines, and all kinds of different wildlife, but very few people. Our 16 month old grandson was in heaven.....we had to put Mrs. Geri's ceramic pieces up out of his reach because everything within his reach is a toy. We carried many, many memories from that beautiful spot on the Forgotten Coast of Florida. We have already recommended this home to our friends and family thinking of taking a trip to Florida. We thank Mr. Jim and Mrs. Geri for their kindness and for allowing us to share their little piece of heaven.

Owner response:We appreciate the lovely guests we are blessed to have visit Rejuvenation and so often return. It brings us great pleasure to know they enjoyed our natural beauty. Our natural bug spray system is safe and doesn't even hurt little frogs, geckos, humming birds, and such but allows guests to enjoy our 2 wonderful decks. The views are awesome and the stars from the upper uncovered deck are amazing. Thank you to our lovely guests who take the time to share their feelings. This is why we are full all year.

Heaven on Earth

We had a wonderful week "rejuvenating"!! We found everything we needed for my husband, adult daughter and our 4-legged family members!! Waking up to a bald eagle right outside our door is an experience we will not soon forget. Having a boat launch so close made it easy to come and go. We followed a group of dolphin one afternoon for hours! The beach was gorgeous and practically all ours...this was definitely the right choice for us. If you need more excitement, Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are just a short drive away. Geri and Jim were wonderful! I'm sure we would never have recovered our chef's knife had we left it in some condo on the beach...our landlords could not have been more accommodating...you should get their recommendations early on during your stay so as not to miss something only the locals know.

Mid-January to Mid-March 2011

Our stay at “Rejuvenation” was just what we wanted. We avoided two months of a cold and snowy winter, we walked on quiet and beautiful beaches with our dog, we watched abundant wild-life, we shopped and ate out in good restaurants in Port St Joe and Apalachicola, we joined the public library and did a course at the local community college, we entertained our children and their loved ones in a comfortable, quiet and ideally located house, and we met many charming and hospitable people - not the least of whom were Jim and Geri. We were very sorry to leave!

Warm and Charming

This house had absolutely everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. It's very private and you feel as if you are the only one around for miles. The kitchen is well stocked, there are lots of comfortable beds, and it sits only steps from the beach. Jim and Geri are great owners and made sure everything was just right. The interior is decorated with a great beach theme that really helps to set the mood. Leave your beach chairs and toys at home, there is a great collection already there. It's a short walk down the beach to catch the shuttle to St. Vincents Island or hop on a charter boat for a fishing trip. Wildlife galore, from a Bald Eagle perched right off the deck, to huge tarpon jumping just offshore, and every species of sea bird imaginable. Civilization is just a short drive away. Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are just minutes away and have nice places to eat and to shop. Joe Mama's Pizza in St. Joe had some of the best and freshest pizza we have ever eaten. We enjoyed or stay and plan to return many times to be "Rejuvinated"

A Beach Paradise!

Date of Stay: 10/03/10 Review Submitted: 10/16/10

Our stay at Rejuvenation was wonderful! We are a family of four (2 kids ages 9 and 1) and there was something for all of us to enjoy. The boys had a great time fishing, both in the boat and on shore, while the little one and I just played in the sand and water. The home is very pleasant. The beds were very comfortable (waterbeds upstairs) and it was very clean! Also, we loved the location at the end of Indian Pass. I was able to easily walk my jogging stroller around to the beach rather than haul it up and down the steps and the boys had easy access to the boat ramp. (Don't let the pictures of the stairs going down to the beach scare you. They weren't as bad as the picture makes it look. Note: this is a two-story house so if you have a little one you may want to bring a baby gate to use inside. The porch has a gate.) There were lots of beach toys available for the kids and games and puzzles inside in case of rain. The view from the top deck was breathtaking and so peaceful at night. We saw eagles and lots of hummingbirds...one actually landed on my son's hand! If you are looking for a non-crowded beach, this is the one to come to. There wasn't much surf, so if you are wanting to play in the waves you would need to go to the nearby state park (maybe six miles away). I personally enjoyed the calm waters here but everyone is different. I would definitely recommend this house to others and hope to visit again. The owners are super nice and make you feel very welcome!

Rejuvenation is THE PLACE to go for fun and relaxation!!

Guest: Tina (Americus, GA)
Date of Stay: 04/17/10 Review Submitted: 06/21/10

What a wonderful week my husband and I had at this secluded beach home! I could not have asked for a better experience for my first time with VRBO---the owners made everything so welcoming and personal it will be difficult to ever stay in a hotel again! We spent lazy days on the beach with our 2 dogs and rarely saw anybody else. We loved the daily dolphin sightings but the best was getting to see the eagle family that stays in the tree right next to the house. We can't hardly wait to go back to get "rejuvenated"! If relaxation is what you are looking for, this is the place for you!

Peaceful, Relaxing Rejuvinated

We arrived on our 50th Wedding Anniversary and the house was very warm and inviting. It is very roomy and decorated in lovely Wicker with lots of sea colors. We found a bottle of bubbly chilling in the refrigerator with a sweet note from our Owners. Nice way to begin our winter vacation. The views are awesome and we took a tour of St. Vincent's Island on one of the coldest days in February but enjoyed the tour guides and other visitors which made it fun and pleasant. We walked the beach and always met a friendly face and of course we had to discover where they were from and visa versa. Our dogs preferred the gated porch and neither cared for the lovely white sand. Our children came for a short visit bringing our grandson, age 7, who built castles and towers with his grandfather assisting, nearby, or taking pictures for our Book of Warm Wonderful Memories. We would recommend this property to any age looking for a new adventure, a quiet restful place or a spot that does really rejuvinate. And last but never least, are the Owners who went above and beyond to meet our needs, and make our stay more enjoyable. Sincere thanks Geri and Jim. sincere

Perfect Girls Week Out

Guest: Kay and Friends (Tyler, Texas)
Date of Stay: 07/25/09 Review Submitted: 08/04/09

This was the most amazing place EVER! We were a group of nine healthy women (ages 40 to 50ish) who came to Rejuvenation and enjoyed the beach and wildlife. This property is the best beachfront property I have ever rented. There were stairs leading from the house to the beach, the stairs did not pose a problem for us at all, and we had the beach all to ourselves for the majority of the week. The sand dunes and foliage are beautiful; the water is in full view from the upstairs bedroom as well as the downstairs living area and balconies. Everything in the description is accurate and the house was immaculate. We saw dolphins, a manatee, and other wildlife. A large sea turtle laid eggs about 50 yards down the beach, we watched as the Turtle Patrol moved the nest to the edge of the dunes and marked the nest to keep it protected. This is a great place to do nothing at all or plan an adventure every day. A trip to St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge for a short hike is a must! The house is close enough to Panama City and Apalachicola for outings. The owners were very friendly, helpful and very sweet. Truly an amazing property …we will be back!!

Our family has very fond memories of our stay at your home in Port St. Joe. Truly, this was one of our most memorable holidays and we really returned refreshed, tanned!, and rejuvenated. Oh how we dream about those long, hot summer days when we would wake up any time, and go to bed late. The beach was so clean, and so quiet, we really miss being there. We hope to return one day soon and hope that the area remains pristine and unspoilt.

A breath of fresh air

Wow we had a wonderful time!! The house was a home we felt so comfortable there. We did enjoy the days on the beach and we did get to see some dolphins also which was awesome. If you want the very best water you have ever seen that would be right down the road at Cape San Blas, or St. Joe state park. You won't have to pay the $6 to get in because you can go to the beach access right before you get there and spend a great day, even if you just want to sit and look at the ocean the water is so clear and beautiful. We did go into Apalachacola and had the very best beer battered fish ever, the name of the place is Seafood grill, it was the best fish, we really wanted to go back again but just didn't have time. The shops there are so unique you could look around and stay in one store a long time. We loved the house, and the nature that was around the house, but the best swimming is just up the road. We would like to thank that homeowners for the wonderful welcoming gift and the use of their home. It was the first vacation for my son, his wife and two kids, I don't thing I have ever seen any children more excited than they were. I truely did fill rejuvenated when we left, the kids cried saying they wanted to live there.

Private and relaxing

We stayed at Rejuvenation about two months after a death in our family left us in great need of a getaway. It was exactly what we desired. It was secluded and quiet and natural – everything we wanted to take our minds off of the reality back home. The surf fishing was great, the white sand beach was breathtaking, and the water warm and inviting. This area is especially noncommercial and natural, like no other beach I’ve ever visited. The only beaches I’ve visited that rival the naturalness of this part of Indian Pass are on small, uninhabited islands in the Caribbean. We tried to book this house for a vacation again this summer (2010), but it was already taken the week we wanted to go. We ended up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and we had a great time, but we’re already thinking about 2011 and the possibility of staying at this house again.

I feel in love with this house when I walked in! I loved the ole Florida feel - so homey - so comfortable. We had relatives for three days - the upstairs is perfect for company. Geri was wonderful - very helpful and very nice! The beach was very secluded which I loved - great walks and shelling. We extended our stay for 4 extra days - it was just what we needed. As stated before - there are stairs as you see in the photos -so make sure you can do those. I would love a sceened porch to enjoy being oustside as much as possible. Geri is working on that! Great house- great owners- great oysters!

The best beach experience ever

Guest: Phoebe (Atlanta)

I celebrated my 50th birthday here for a week in Oct. 2007 with 10 of my closest girlfriends. This clean and cozy yet roomy beach house was simply spectacular! It is in a beautiful remote setting overlooking one of Florida's last remaining natural sand dunes. We enjoyed views of the gulf, the waterway and an island teaming with all kinds of birds including bald eagles and peacocks. I highly recommend Rejuvenation for a relaxing beach vacation away from the noise, neon signs and crowds.

Not a beachfront property

Guest: imaroo (illinois)

The photos of this property that is listed as beachfront try to suggest that it is; but the truth that we saw was a house sitting behind a giant sand dune where the view of the beach was totally obscured.

The Great Escape!

Guest: MRK (Fairfield County, CT)
Date of Stay: 07/01/07 Review Submitted: 12/19/07

Rejuvenation is aptly named. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and locaton of this great vacation home. The kids (ages 7,8,9) loved the "tree house" feel of the house on stilts. We loved the layout -- great master suite downstairs and 2 roomy bedrooms upstairs. The house has alot of stairs so would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. The beach is great with lots of shells. The current can be quite strong so watch the little ones! We came with our kayaks and crossed the channel to the St. Vincent Natl. Seashore -- that was fantastic. A sea turtle swam alongside my kayak! We went scalloping nearby -- what fun! We went to Appalachicola -- a wonderful little town. Indian Pass is a wonderful escape from the usual Florida tourist trap ickiness. There is wildlife everywhere and not very many people -- a perfect combinaton. The owners of Rejuvenation were very nice and helpful. Good people! I would certainly recommend this property to a friend.
