Relax on this secluded island beach. Look for shells or sharks teeth. Walk the 7 miles of under developed beach with no crowds of people. Take your fishing pole and fish for many types of game fish from your own beach. Don Pedro Island is only 100 yards off of the mainland. Take the car ferry across the channel and drive the short distance to this townhouse located directly on the beach or bring your boat and dock on the island. Dock space is available at no additional charge for your boat and walk across the street to the townhouse. Golf carts are available to rent for transportation if you do not bring your car across.
Just a short walk to the south is a nature preserve where you can enjoy the natural, undeveloped Florida island. The beach is three and a half miles long in both directions. This island has no high rise developments. It is truly an island of white sand beaches that is a paradise for a family vacation or for a getaway to rekindle that romantic fire. Relax and sit on the beach or the deck and enjoy reading a book or just watching the wildlife.
Enjoy the tennis courts and the heated swimming pool that are yours to use free of charge and are very close to this unit.

We are installing a new kitchen with new cabinets, appliances and granet countertops. This will be done Feb 10, 2012. Freshly repainted,new carpet, dining room and patio furniture, 3 TVs, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, ceiling fans, stairs to the beach, lower decking, DVR and windows all replaced in the last 5 years. We also have wireless internet for you to use if you want to check email or do some work while you are staying on the beach. Just bring your laptop.

My wife and I purchased this beachfront unit because we love the quietness of Don Pedro Island. We live in Wisconsin and get to Florida as often as we can. Our kids love it on the island. If you have never been to the island, give it a try. You will never go back to those busy beaches again.

On behalf of my family, I can honestly say that our week on Don Pedro was one of the BEST vacations we have ever taken! To be able to get away from everything, plan nothing and just spend time together was priceless. I would add that the pictures of your home do not do it justice. We were all pleasantly surprised to find it much nicer than the pictures show. Everything was in great condition and well kept. We will most definitely be back!!

WOW! We were impressed the moment we drove up to the unit and even more so once we were inside. Clean, spacious, and comfortable! This was the best family vacation for us! We have three little ones (twins who are 4 and a toddler who's 2.5). It was very convenient and relaxing for us to "just hang out at the beach" and not worry about loading the kids up in the van and driving to a crowed beach. We hung out on the beach right outside the unit, came inside when the kids needed to use the restroom, eat and nap. Beach was clean, quiet and NOT crowed at all! The gentle waves were perfect for our little ones. While on the island, we had a 911 with our youngest son. Both my husband and I were impressed at how quickly the EMT and Fire trucks responded considering the EMT had to come from the mainland and it was 6AM in the morning right when the Ferry Service opened. We are definitely planning to return to this unit. At first we dealt with the owner directly being that it was a last minute trip for us. Once we were on the road driving there from MN, the rental company got in touch with us and took our information. Check-in and check-out was flawless. Suggestions: -There were only 3 beach towels in the closet. Bring your own beach towels. -Bring your own laundry detergent if you're planning on doing laundry -Beach toys were abundant, but many were broken -Beach chairs were old and rusted -Make sure they're not pumping sand on the beach (they do it once every so many years) because the bulldozers will run 24/7 and keep you up at night Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this "home away from home"! -
