Located within the Massanutten Resort, Hawkins Haven is perfect for a family ski trip in the winter or to enjoy the Four Seasons Resort and Shenandoah Valley area any time of year. Step onto the expansive deck for a beautiful view of the Massanutten Valley of the mountain green area.
Hawkins Haven is a short walk to the ski center, MPOA pool, and skateboard park.
Hawkins Haven is close to numerous year-round amenities, including the General Store, Mountain Greens championship golf course, and Fairways Restaurant and Lounge. Other amenities are available at the Massanutten Resort as well. The indoor/outdoor water park is now open! Massanutten boasts the largest such park on the east coast! Everything is provided at your home-away-from-home. Smoking is allowed on porches and decks only.
Hawkins Haven is a spacious, 2100-square-foot home. Beautifully decorated, the main floor common areas include a full kitchen, and a large great room/dining room with ample seating. Also on the main floor you will find the master bedroom with with a plush pillow-top king-size bed and separate bath. The great room boasts a vaulted ceiling with lots of natural daylight for your visit. Off the living room is a raised porch for those wonderful pleasant Shenandoah afternoons. At night you can gaze down the valley. Mornings are often characterized by the local deer herd that wanders by.
Moving up to the second floor, you find a loft overlooking the great room with a quiet reading nook. Entrances to two bedrooms sharing a full bath come off the loft. One bedroom has a bunk bed and day bed, sleeping three. The other bedroom has a full size bed with a crib, sleeping two with room for the wee one.
In the basement you will find a large den with one full-sized sleeper sofa. Off the den is a closet a roll-away bed. A fourth bedroom with a wonderful king-size bed completes up to seven berths downstairs. Also downstairs you will find a large utility room with washer, dryer, ironing board, hanging rods, and deep sink - just perfect for shedding those snow togs and getting ready for the next day of fun.
We recognize that part of a getaway involves easy packing. Therefore, we keep stocked for our guests: dish & bath soap, sponges, dishwasher and laundry detergent, dish towels, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, salt and pepper, and toilet paper. This is in addtion to linens, pillows, bath towels and extra blankets. Relax. Enjoy our mountain.
The house is limited to sleeping 12 total, not counting infants.

Christmas and New Years Week: $1200/week
$250/day weekends and holidays; Three day rentals only for holiday weekends.
$150 per day, three day minimum, for weekdays.
$900 per week in summer; $750 per week out of season; $999 per week in winter
50% of total rent as deposit to reserve home.
Cancellation: Full refund with 60 day notice. 50% refund with 59-30 day notice
29 days or less, no refund unless we are able to subsequently book it.

Massanutten is a wonderful resort. We have vacationed there for over 20 years. When we wanted to get a second home, this was a natural choice. And we get to let others enjoy it now.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Hawkins Haven consistently gets outstanding plaudits from our renters. It is a nice home that entertains well. The great room - dining room and living room combined - stands off easily from the rest of the house so that early risers are early sleepers either don't bothered or aren't bothered by the rest of the house. In the old days, before rental limits on the mountain, we could put up 16 in the house. The house is currently limited to 12 sleepers but has all the room of being able to accomodate 16. It actually has 17 different bunks plus a crib for maximum flexibility for your party of 12 or less. Come try us out.
