We brought our 2 young kids and 2 dogs to this perfect Heavenly Home for spring snow!! We stayed toasty warm by the fire and enjoyed the private hot tub in the backyard. When the snow burned off, we were able to hike in our own backyard. During the summer it would be possible to even walk to the casinos. Thanks for a perfect, unforgettable vacation!

Our family of five had a wonderful time at this lovely Heavenly home. After a day of skiing and snowboarding, we took a short hop to this cabin, enjoying the warmth, cleanliness and awesome game room! We had booked to stay here for two weeks and as soon as we arrived at the property we knew we would love our stay there, the rooms were ideal for our group (two couples and two singles). The house was well maintained and clean. We used the hot tub every night which was great for relaxing in with a couple of beers. The kitchen facilities were great and we cooked almost every meal there, there is plenty of space so we even had guests over for dinner on a couple of occasions. We all enjoyed lounging by the fireplace watching the huge TV screen. In the garage there were lots of games available to play. We are already looking to see if we can book again for next year.

Fantastic Holiday, Superb Home from Home

When we arrived in SLT , after not being there for 18 years we were met by Bruce at the house and the initial impression was of a real home from home. That impression was only strengthened over the week as we skied and boarded everyday and came home to relax and refresh. The facilities were first class and we would highly recommend anyone to stay at this fabulous home. We travelled and visited 6 resorts in the time we were there, and although Heavenly is on the doorstep, the trip and conditions at Northstar we found best for us as a family with varying degrees of competence in skiing and boarding. All in all a fantastic holiday and a superb base.

Perfect location for casino and lake. Our main purpose of our trip was to celebrate Super Bowl weekend and we did just that! The house wasnt only homely but fun with the game room. We rented this house recently and really enjoyed our stay. This is a fantastic rental with all the amentities you could wish for! The rooms are all furnished nicely; the whole place is spacious & clean. The kitchen is very big with really nice appliances, everything you'd want at home is also found here. The TV room is a great space to hang out; the TV is huge, not to mention the massive fire place which heats the whole house really well! We all really loved the game room, hot tub, & great location, close to downtown, shops, & the heavenly ski lift. Our dogs loved running around out back in the woods; it was great to find such a wonderful, dog-friendly place to stay in South Lake Tahoe! The house is located on a private road in a quiet area, which makes for a very relaxing vacation. This place immediately feels like home away from home. Thanks for the great vacation!!! We will be back to Heavenly Paradise again and definitely recommend this rental to others! :)

We stayed at Heavenly Paradise to celebrate my husband's and his friend's 30th birthday! It was a fabulous weekend- the house was everything and more to what was listed on VRBO. The house was clean upon arrival and the holiday decorations gave it such a "home away from home" feel. The kitchen was stocked with tons of utensils and cooking supplies that we never needed to go out to eat. We didn't have any fresh snow while we were visiting, but that didn't stop us from enjoying this home's amazing location. It literally sits right off of the Heavenly Ski Resort and provided amazing views. Our dogs loved going on hikes with us as we explored the outdoors! And the game room provided tons of entertainment! In addition to an amazing property, the owner, Bruce, was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful in recommending grocery stores, nearby activities, etc... I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe- it truly is a Heavenly Paradise! We definitely plan on visiting again in the future!

The Best Home in the Best Location

Everyone fell in love with this home. This property was Perfect....and the holiday decorations was truly special. House and SPA was super clean and well maintained. If needed, extra blankets and towels were available. Game room was a plus. You have everything you need at your finger tips...coffee maker?...check...coffee grinder?...check...coffee filter?....check.....can I make cookies? of course I can :) Because the kitchen is fully stocked with a variety of appliances. BRUCE is AWESOME!!! Always so friendly (email and phone) with great response time. Thank you BRUCE and Family for sharing your wonderful home; we had an amazing time.

Napa bunch

We enjoyed this amazing home for our Thanksgiving holiday and were so pleased with the accommodations. It fit our extended family and we still had room to spare. The dining room table has enough room for eight and then 4 more seats at the kitchen bar, nearby. The kitchen is well equipped and the spa is wonderful with a view of the forest. The home was very clean with lots of seasonal touches. The lighted tree on the fire place put us all in to the holiday spirit. There was only one negative and that is WE HAD NO SNOW! We'll be back.

The house was as advertised, if not better. Clean upon arrival with plenty of space for our family. The kitchen is well stocked, except for a bean grinder (but we just used the blender). A nice location where you feel like you are in the woods. Plenty of wildlife for your viewing pleasure. The spa was clean and easily accessible. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable bedding. Plenty of linens and a nice washer/dryer. We will definitely be coming back on a yearly basis.

This IS the most amazing home. I have been searching for years for that special vacation spot in Lake Tahoe for my family, keeping our budget in mind, when I finally came across this home. My search is over! This home is very spacious and full of all the amenities that you would normally find in the higher priced vacation homes. The game room was an added bonus for my kids and the hot tub and views out the back deck were simply amazing. We were able to get some great family photos in the woods behind the house. The location is perfect. Close to the beaches and Heavenly Village. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back. Many thanks to Bruce his family for making our stay so enjoyable and easy!

My family stayed at Heavenly for 8 days in July. We had eight of us in this great place. It was very accomodating in every way. We enjoyed meals together at the large dining table. We played in the game room almost every night, we also enjoyed the spa and large entertainment area(TV, music, movies). The house is also so conveniently located to anything you need to do or go and see. We did the gondola, duck tour, and shopped as well as visits to nearby casinos. All of us enjoyed this visit so much and would like to come back again. We would recommend this "Little piece of heaven" (as my husband called it all week) to anyone. My grandkids had a great time here, as did the adults! Thanks Bruce, for making it available to all of us to enjoy. We all hated to leave!! It was everything mentioned and then some.

Meet the Kern County Fockers

We had a "heavenly" stay at this property! There were ten of us that included my husband and myself, our son daughter-in-law and 15 mo grandbaby, our daugher, son-in-law and 7 mo old baby as well our daughter's in-laws. Someone said, "you mean like "Meet the Fockers?"" We are the Kern County Fockers. The property was very clean (I am very picky!) and very well kept. It was very nicely appointed in cabin decor. Loved the two large balconies! The spay was enjoyed by several of us. One morning we had a huge bear lumber through the back yard and enjoy a meal of giant ants after he ripped off two hunks of bark off a fallen tree. We also saw coyotes several times. None of us wanted to go home to the Kern County heat and smog. The home is situated in a very private and secluded area, The game room is a very nice addition and was used daily. I know we will be back as we are already talking about next year and have only been home 6 days. The owner was a wonderful to work with and communicated very well with us. When we walked in we said, "Wow we could live hear in a heartbeat!" Heavenly is a short walk and enjoyable walk away. There are plenty of shops close by as the grocery store. We also rented a boat and enjoyed tubing on beautiful Lake Tahoe. A trip to Emerald Bay with a hike down to the castle is a great side trip. A drive around the Lake is a must. Nice little outlet mall sits at the east edge of town. We will be back!

The Best Time In Tahoe

We had the best time at your wonderful home in Tahoe. It is without a doubt the best rental we have ever experienced. The location is perfect...not on top of Kingsbury with a 20 minute drive or on the busy side of pioneer but on your own private road where you cannot even see a neigboring house. Everyone loved the game room with full size shuffleboard, ping pong etc. As a professional chef I was impressed with the kitchen and everything you provide. From the moment we contacted Bruce about renting it was a relaxing and smooth experience. We will be reserving another week this coming summer, just as soon as we can all get our schedules to sync. We actually shed a few tears pulling away. Thank You.

Great Value, Great Location, Fun Games, Well-Maintained

We loved the location with its convenience to the casino's, grocery store, main commercial district and lake activities. In the winter I'm sure it's great for skiing at Heavenly being right under one of the runs. The house itself is quite well maintained, nicely decorated with an upscale lodge feel and modern kitchen and bathroom. The porches are nice for hanging out outside and the family room and dining table is plenty big for a good sized group of at least 10-12 people. The three bedrooms could sleep at least 10 or so people with bunk beds and multiple beds in two of the rooms. There was plenty of hot water even with 5 adults showering and doing breakfast. Our favorite was definitely the gameroom. We spent hours playing foosball, ping-pong and darts. For those who are fans of air hockey and shuffleboard there is that as well. More of an indictment of our group than of the property, but there is only a charcoal grill, which we used very poorly as all of us are used to propane. It actually provided some good comedy for a group of lawyers, engineers, business owners and teachers couldn't figure out how to cook with charcoal. So make sure you know what you are doing with charcoal if you plan to bbq some steaks or chicken. Had to deduct a star due to the property not having been cleaned when we arrived. Bruce apologized profusely and the cleaning service arrived that night to ensure we had clean beds and linens and then did a full clean while we were out the next day.

Owner response:I love the use of the term "indictment" in your review. That is priceless coming in a review from laywers! It's no surprise that you were challenged with a charcoal BBQ. You were a group of professionals. No automatic functions. No buttons to push! Sorry about the mixup on the cleaning. We pride ourselves on running a tight ship. It has been years since something like that has happened. However, with just one phone call (answered B4 the 2nd ring I might add) we had someone there immediately (it should be noted it was nighttime), and the next day too. I would have added back a star for that stellar response!! ;-)

Fabulous vacation spot in South Lake Tahoe

What a wonderful place to stay! Very roomy, comfortable, up to date. It is in a fairly secluded area yet close to everything in South Lake Tahoe- which was perfect for us! There were even brochures for area attractions and a local map that we could use! Typically I am not a hot tub kind of person, but I loved sitting there relaxing and watching the stars come out in the midst of the encircling evergreen trees. Absolutely beautiful! The only negative thing I could say was that after we had sent in the deposit, I did not hear from the owner even when I requested email confirmation. That was a little scary as I was wondering if I had been scammed. I finally called the number listed and he returned my call. It happened again, however, when I emailed asking how he wanted the remaining balance paid and if he would send the directions and entrance code early as we were traveling other places before Tahoe. I did not get a response. I went ahead and just mailed it to him as I was afraid if I waited and the balance was not received on time, we would forfeit our deposit and lose our reservation. I would suggest to him that if he was going to be away or something that he set up his email with an automatic response telling when he would be available to respond to email because waiting to hear is kind of nerve-racking. But once we got there, we were all very, very pleased!! The game room was great - we all had fun there, the beds were comfortable, and everything was in good condition. I would recommend it! We were there in the summer, so hit the lake - parasailing, sailboating, hot air balloon ride, hiking. Be sure to watch the sunset from the hill above the house!!!

My husband, three children, in-laws and nephew had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful vacation home this past June. Our trip was fabulous! The kids--husbands included!--were extremely happy with the game room! My sister-in-law and I spent most of our time in the kitchen, which was stocked with all we needed (utensil/appliance-wise) for our big family meals, and in the SPA!! The spa was a perfect start an end to our days in Tahoe. The location was great--close to everything, but secluded enough to enjoy the nature! Bruce was very friendly and helpful--he answered my many questions about the area and upon booking, he provided information about Tahoe and it's many sites! Bruce..I want to express what a great time my family and I had at your vacation home. The location was perfect for doing everything we wanted to accomplish while in the South Lake Tahoe area. The place doesn’t look as big from the outside, but once indoors I was amazed as to the spacious comfortable surroundings. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable was considered. The living room with gas fireplace and large flat screen was over the top. The view from the back deck was amazing. And to accent our stay, we had two unseasonal snows, of which one put 5” of snow on the ground. The 72 mile drive around the lake was spectacular, which was topped off with a visit to the vineyards. Again, thanks for such warm accommodations. What an amazing adventure. See you on our next visit.

We have stayed at many properties in Tahoe and this is our favorite by far. The house was very clean,roomy, comfortable with great amenities and dog friendly! The game room in the garage had everything you could ask for (ping pong, foosball table, shuffle board, darts and our sons' favorite-air hockey!) The house is in a wonderful location- quiet street, big wooded back yard with sledding runs (which the boys and dogs loved) and just a few minutes from the ski slopes. Also dealing with Bruce was very easy-another major plus. We will definitely be back!

because I always want it to be available when I am staying in Tahoe. The accommodations were as advertised. The place was impeccably clean, the amenities (TV and entertainment center, Spa, etc.) worked great, and the decor is a perfect combination of classy and cabin rustic. I visited this cabin with 4 friends and I look forward to bringing my wife and 3 small kids on return visits. The home is tucked away such that you have immense privacy, but every cab driver we met knew exactly how to get to the place. Bruce, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. He shoots straight, and, sadly, that is not always a quality that VRBO owners posses. And, my deposit was returned the day after my stay ended. I cannot recommend this location highly enough.

I looked long and hard at vacation rentals before stumbling across "heavenly paradise." I had very specific criteria that a rental needed to have and this home had it all; a large yard for my dogs, a hot tub, cable television, wifi and enough space for my family. There is even a game room with air hockey ping pong, foosball and darts! The kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of seating at the dining room table and breakfast bar. The bed rooms are comfy and can accommodate large groups. The highlights would have to be the AMAZING fireplace that put off a ton of heat (that is actually where I spent most of my time) the hot tub that looks out to the forest, and the yard that is so big my family actually made 3 sledding runs! The proximity to the casinos and heavenly is great too. Most importantly, the house was very clean and well maintained. My family really had a great time. Though I think my dogs had the best time of all. Thank you Bruce for sharing your wonderful home.

What a comfortable home. The location is supper: skier gets to the mountain within 5 mins and you can walk to the super market and coffee shops. We were at the house for Xmas and had a great time. Family Chrismas Vacation - 3rd week December 2010.

My family was at Heavenly Paradise for 24 hours and we all fell in love with the house and the surrounding area. The drive from Reno was easy and we were so excited to see Heavenly and how much it had to offer. Heavenly Village has everything you would want and we found everything to be in walking distance or a short drive. When we arrived at Heavenly Paradise and walked through the front door, it was a WOW! We knew right away that we had made the right choice. We arrived just after a snow fall and the trees and surrounding area was covered with fresh white snow. Heavenly Paradise is an experience that is breath-taking and cannot be justified in photos and words. You have to see it with your own eyes and take the picture with your eyes and mind as the camera. The house and the location are exceptional for all the things you want to do in Lake Tahoe. The house is clean, comfortable, cozy and designed prefect for staying here with a small or large group. There is lots of space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. We unpacked our clothes, hung them in the closet and were able to put things in drawers and not have to deal with the suitcases for a week. It was great to have lots of hangers and extra space to put stuff, all the comforts of home! The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and is equipped with all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you would ever need. We found kitchen items that made it easy prepare any meal. The big dining table was great and made it nice for our family to sit together for meals and other activities. The fire place was another favorite; it provided a lot of warmth. You are guaranteed a beautiful fire with just a click of the remote. The view from the upper and lower deck is beautiful, it reminded us of a winter wonderland, especially when it was snowing. The hot tub on the back deck is a perfect place for relaxing and just taking in the beauty of the National Forest. It is obvious that Bruce, the owner, takes pride in sharing his family’s vacation home with other families. He was easy to communicate with and accommodating. When we told Bruce that we were coming to celebrate Christmas he assured us that Heavenly Paradise would be decorated for Christmas. When we arrived the home was decorated and very festive. We really appreciate all Bruce did to make our stay during the Christmas season special! We enjoyed the convenience to all the sites and activities South Lake Tahoe area has to offer. We will return.

My family and I have stayed at Heavenly Paradise a couple of times now and each time it gets better. This past time we walked through the door to find the house completely decorated for Christmas, it was truly magical. The house is well taken care of, we feel very blessed to have found such a special place to stay year after year. We had so much fun this past time and felt so at home we even stayed an extra night. The owners are constantly adding to the value of the house. The kids loved having their own DVD in there room so they could watch Christmas movies. The house is perfect for families. There is so much for the kids to do without even leaving the house. We went sledding, played Ping Pong, and played games at the kitchen table. The location allows for one parent to go to the mountain for a half day, come back to the house have lunch and then allow the other parent to up and ski the rest of the day. (look for the Parent Predicament Passes!) We will for sure be back next year.

We had an awesome stay. THe cabin was everything as described. The kitchen was stocked, we stayed really warm and the hot tub was perfect. The game room was great for all ages, the 4 year old loved Air Hockey and the "Big Kids" loved Ping Pong. Thanks for an awesome stay.

Our family from Hawaii visited Tahoe along with another family (from New York) and really enjoyed our vacation even more because we all were able to stay together in this wonderful house. The house was more of a home as we felt so comfortable in it. The location to Heavenly was perfect! So convenient and close not only to skiing, but to the casino and the town. We all enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day of skiing and having the grill to cook on. We would definitely consider coming back for another vacation soon!

We stayed for a week in February to ski and not only got great snow but enjoyed this comfortable house as our base. We had grandkids visiting from Mexico who hadn't experienced snow, so the backyard became a snowman village, and the house lived up to its billing as hospitable to families. We intend to return.

Thanks Bruce! The guys and I had a great time. It was a perfect place for a friends’ reunion. There was plenty of room for all seven of us. The proximity to the casinos and skiing made getting around easy. When we weren’t out enjoying South Lake we bar-b-que’d some ribs on the back deck, battled each other at ping pong and foosball in the game room, watched the playoff football games on the big screen and, since we didn’t get enough gambling in at the casinos, we even played some poker at the dining room table. The place had everything we needed and was priced very reasonably. We’re already considering when we may be able to do it again. Thanks for sharing your great place.T

My family and I stayed here during Christmas week. We had a great time. The kids sledded in the back yard, we skied a couple of days. It was great being so close to the slopes. The house was so nicely decorated for X-mas - we appreciated that. The cleaning service did a great job before we came - everything was spotless. We had an absolute blast! The property and location was everything you promised it would be. We were very comfortable and happy with the house. The sleds you had in the garage got used a lot as we had four small children that loved sledding in the back yard. We had a couple of people who loved how close the house is to the ski lift and the couple of gamblers in the group were happy with how close we were to the casino. We all absolutely loved the hot tub. Thank you!

We absolutely adored staying here. The must be few properties that are so close to amenities but seem so secluded when you look out over your balcony and hot tub into the forest below. The home itself had everything we needed from games in the garage to the entertainment center to the well appointed kitchen. The bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were accessible to us for questions and advice. This property is truly warm and inviting. We look forward to returning!

My husband, two dogs and I stayed for one week at your "Heavenly Paradise" at Lake Tahoe in November. This is the first time we have stayed in a home - usually stay at Harrah's. We so enjoyed being in a real home. Our first impression was "wow" this is close to the Casinos, but feels as though you are a million miles from congestion and noise. When we entered the home it was another "wow". Your place really feels like a home. We found it was equipped with all of the luxuries and necessities to make our stay comfortable. The beds are so cozy and comfortable and the house was welcoming and very clean. Our dogs loved all the new outdoor smells and the location is perfect for walks. One of your neighbors also has a mini schnauzer so we chatted him up. We had family visit for the weekend and it was easy to entertain with the well-stocked kitchen and Weber barbecue. My nephew cooked his little heart out and I didn't have to do much at all for the rest of the week! A real vacation. We definitely will return. Thank you so much. Sue and Dennis

My family and I just completed a one week stay at your "Heavenly Paradise" at Lake Tahoe. One of the first things that you notice when you enter is that this is truly a home and not just a "rental unit". It was equipped with all of the luxuries and necessities that make your stay complete and comfortable. First, the location. You are just minutes from everything, yet you are nestled in the woods in a very private and secluded location. We brought our family pets with us and it was the perfect surrounding for them as well. Each day we could simply walk right out either the front or back door and take them for a walk in the forest. This home offered seclusion and direct access to open space. The home was extremely clean and well supplied with everything you would need. The week we spent here was over Thanksgiving, a time for elaborate meals. We found the kitchen supplied with ovens, microwaves, toasters and everything else necessary to cook a large turkey and all of the trimmings. Having access to the large pots and pans and plenty of dishware that was provided was a convenience and necessity. We needed to only supply the "groceries", and, anything we forgot, was only minutes away at one of several grocery stores. The beds were extremely comfortable and provided with clean and cozy sheets, blankets and comforters. The "gas" fireplace was wonderful. The remote control that operated it was also a great convenience. The fireplace itself warmed the home with such consistency that you hardly needed the central heating system. Speaking of remote controls, the entertainment system was also outstanding. The large HD television was perfect. Having it connected to cable allowed access to all of the channels and shows that anyone would be accustomed too. There was no reason to miss news reports, stock market scanning or Monday Night Football. The "game room" in the garage was very enjoyable and we made great use out of it. From ping pong to air hockey, foosball and darts my family utilized these facilities every evening and it was a great source of entertainment and camaraderie. One of my personal favorites was the large decks located both downstairs and off of the bedrooms. Sitting there and gazing into the forest was so relaxing, it negated any need to go elsewhere to find similar serenity and relaxation. Wow, what a great house! The location is perfect, so close to all the activities, shopping, and the Casinos. I was amazed at how quiet and serene this home is. It is as if one is high on a mountain far from town, but not the case, 2 minutes and you can be at Starbucks or the lake. It is well stocked with everything we needed, and oh so clean. It is a very unique property. I can't wait to go back!

We rented this house for our wedding weekend. We got married at Heavenly and needed a house nearby for our wedding party. This house met and exceeded all of our expectations and needs. We had so much fun playing in the game room and feeling the isolation of the forest in the backyard. We created memories there that will last a lifetime. I was completely thrilled when I walked into the house, especially after viewing the awesome external surroundings (the woods, the hills, the walking paths, and of course the mountains). It was immaculate and well furnished with everything a family would need for a weeks stay. Plenty beds, linens and towels, and the kitchen was well-stocked for preparing food, cooking and grilling. The huge flat-screen TV was enjoyed by all and the ping-pong table and other games were also fun to play. I guess my favorite amenity was the hot-tub. We did a lot of walking (to town and casinos) and hiking so it was very nice to come home and relax in the hot tub in the evenings. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the house - it was so much nicer than a motel room. We were pretty much isolated but within walking distance from all of the entertainment (shops, restaurants, casinos, etc. Plus, the owner of the property was so easily accessible by phone and/or email and provided friendly personal assistance to us whenever we asked. I called him to inquire about a restauant in the area that we had heard was a great place to eat and instead of a voicemail message or electronic greeting, he actually answered the phone. That was a nice change from the usual non-personal phone exchanges I've experienced in the past. I would highly recommend this property for a fantastic vacation experience.

We loved this property in South Lake Tahoe. It was large, had everything we needed, and in such a peaceful location. We had wildlife visit every morning: bear, raccoon, and coyote. We would run around Tahoe each day (biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming) and then relax in this house every afternoon/evening. We are planning return trips to Tahoe and will stay here again.

Great house and location! The place was as described and met/exceeded all our needs. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need to have dinner in. We had a great week, the house is prefect for skiing at Heavenly and the other resorts are all an easy drive away (Kirkwood, Squaw, etc…) as South Lake Tahoe is so centrally located. Bruce was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. The house is a great value for the money! The coyotes in the neighborhood are amazing. We saw them almost everyday and could hear them howl at night.Thanks for everything!
