Villa Shanti offers space for 8 people. The spacious and luxurious villa is located on the beautiful lava beach of Lovina-Beach.
The house has a large pool of 6x18 m and is located on a 3000 m2 property in peaceful north of Bali. The well-kept garden directly borders the beach and vineyards. In the background you will see the mountains of the Bratan-See. From the first floor you will have a breathtaking view. The prices include personnel and household help (cooking and cleaning), gardener, security and a help-desk. Also included is gas, electricity and water consumption and the broadband internet connection. The personnel is available 6 days a week. The house is cleaned, laundry service, pool and garden are taken care of and the meals will be prepared according to your desires for a small fee. The Villa Shanti has a completely equipped kitchen and three bedrooms, each with a bathroom.
Environment: In the former capital of Singaraja (15 km away), you will find the lively hustle and bustle of the shops and markets with their smells and colours. Here you can also visit the Gedong Kirtya library with its famous Lontar manuscripts and a lot of literature. In the harbour of this northern metropolis of the island you can see the old houses from the Dutch colonial times. A 45 m high waterfall in tropical rainforest. A 1 km long (steep) hike brings you past small souvenir shops with inexpensive clothes at one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali. Enjoy the spectacular view and the sound of the water! Lovina is the ideal place to discover the underwater world of Bali. Expert diving schools, like Balispicedive, are happy to help. Dolphins in the morning at 6:00, but sometimes during the afternoon they will take you with a local boat to see the dolphins.

Arriving in the early evening after our drive from Sanur, our party of 6 each thought they had arrived in Paradise! All 6 of the villa staff were there to greet us, and adorn us with frangipani garlands. The setting is glorious, as the villa itself is set a little way back from (though the gardens lead to) the beach, so is surrounded by padi fields. It feels unique among the other villas on this stretch of beach in this respect, and feels very special and secluded. The gardens are literally bursting with verdant plants and flowers – the lily ponds leading down the path to the beach are particularly lovely. The photos on the website, although stunning, don’t do the villa justice. The villa itself is beautifully designed, unusual in its style (with the lovely thatched roof and open plan living area upstairs to provide beautiful vistas), is spacious, modernly furnished, and very well maintained. The staff are wonderful – I know all reviews say that about Balinese staff at most villas, but here it was true (and we stayed at another where this wasn’t the case!). House “manager”, Ketut was a delight as was her assistant, Ita. Ketut’s cooking was outstanding; so much so that we didn’t eat out once in our 5 nights/6days there. Ketut asked us what we liked, we told her, and she bought the ingredients, cooked and served them to us each evening, and charged us just what she’d spent (something she recorded in meticulous detail in her notebook for us). She coped perfectly with the nut allergy of one of our party. Of particular note is the 18 metre long “lap” style swimming pool directly in front of the villa, which allows “proper” exercise swimming (one of our party did 120 lengths one day!). All in all Villa Shanti and the food we were served were incredibly good value, the more so by comparison with other places we stayed in Bali. Put simply, we can’t recommend the villa highly enough – it’s a delight and staying here was the highlight of our 12 night holiday. PS. Wat hebben we hier genoten, alle drukte,stress van het hectische leven thuis in Nederland hebben we kunnen vergeten. En wat een luxe hier, Ketut en Ita zijn schatjes. Deze twee dames hebben we in onze harten gesloten!! De Villa is paradijselijk, de tuin ligt er netjes en mooi bij dankzij Putu en Ketut! We zijn naar Menjangan eiland geweest, de tracking met Putu was zeer indrukwekkend. Tempel Benji, Air pana, Adventure park en nog veel meer..., maar luieren in Villa Shanti was overweldigend. Le titre résume l'ensemble; que dire de plus...? l'accueil tout d'abord, super gentil et respectueux par toute la "famille " du staff. l'entrée dans la propriété ensuite; et la, c'est un émerveillement total ! tout est zen et inspire la quiétude; les gargouillis de la piscine, les gazouillis des oiseaux et la villa dans son écrin de verdure... nous étions à deux doigts de verser une larme... La suite du séjour n'a été qu'un enchantement : la cuisine locale de ketut assistée de putu nous a fait découvrir les spécialités balinaises. la discrétion des jardiniers et du gardiennage toujours très prévenants. nous avons abusé de la fabuleuse piscine grand format et testé avec bonheur les massages balinais organisés par ketut... Lovina est certes assez loin de l'aéroport mais nous avons grandement apprécié d'etres loin du tourisme de masse de kuta ( bouchons,etc...). 19 dagen gerelex, genoten van de mooietuin en villa. Ons laten verassen door de kookunsten van de kok en de vriendelijkheid van de andere stafmembers. Shanti is close to Lovina area and just a 10/15 minute’s drive. You need a car or scooter to come there, however Shanti offers a jeep service for short trips and for longer trips you can easily call in a taxi. Both are reasonable priced. The villa is situated in a tranquil and rural area and is surrounded by rice fields and vineyards with a lot of privacy. The villa is built with an Indonesia rice barn in mind, however very stylish and modern. The owners paid a lot of attention by developing this beautiful villa. Modern, with a very good taste for even the smallest details and a good feeling for symmetry. The house is very luxurious appointed. Very tasteful. The kitchen is very well equipped and can easily compete with the most modern European kitchens. A very big swimming pool with beautiful terraces and trees to prevent from the sun if you wish. The big living on the first floor is fantastic to spend a pleasant evening and from this floor you are able to have a 360o view. In short: we very much enjoyed this villa, beautiful and well kept up. We have to be careful not to over exaggerate, but the staff of the villa is of very great importance to the most wonderful vacation you can experience. What a great professionals with a lot of attention, friendliness and the ability to make guests feel at home. Without doubt the staff is very top. This applies for the two gardeners, the security and the driver, but especially the two golden girls of Shanti Ita and Ketoet. We wish that we could take them back home. What a wonderful art of Indonesian cooking. We stayed for three weeks and every day was a very pleasant experience, as well for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And the perceptible pleasure they have in making the quests feeling treated like king or queen. This staff is the most important asset of villa Shanti. Het is een prachtige villa, mooi design stijlvol ingericht van alle gemakken voorzien ruime kamers met een nog mooier uitzicht, fantastische tuin welke op het het strand uitkomt. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om Lovina en omgeving te verkennen van Noord Bali. Je komt er tot rust, eigenlijk wil je niet meer van het terrein af, hemel op aarde kan niet wachten op terug te komen.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Beste Paula, Fijn te horen dat je het naar je zin hebt gehad en dat je waarschijnlijk net zo van het uitzicht hebt genoten als wij toen we er zelf woonden. Villa Shanti is bewust iets naar achter geplaatst om zo optimaal gebruik te maken van 360 graden vrij uitzicht op de tuin, de zee, het achterland en de bergen. Het is uniek in zijn ligging, tussen de sawa’s, maar toch direct aan zee. In de buurt van andere villa's, maar geheel vrijliggend. Te midden van het authentieke Bali, maar slecht 10 minuten rijden van het centrum van Lovina. We hopen je snel weer te kunnen verwelkomen. Met vriendelijke groet, ook namens de staf, Marja
