    • The Tree House is in the midst of a woodland paradise! Private, secluded, well decorated apartment with nice amenities, and a beautiful trail system... My husband, Glenn, stayed there while I was a lighthouse keeper at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse this week. My partner keeper, Barb, and I looked forward to coming to the Tree House every night when we got off duty at 6PM. A drink on the deck and a nice dinner after a day of lighthouse keeper chores was just what we needed before heading back to the lighthouse for the night. Saw 7 deer from the deck one night. Tom and Kathy are great hosts and were kind to share their campfire with us. The Tree House is just a great place to stay. We would return without hesitation!!

    • Just ended a short stay at the Tree House and found everything just as represented in the VRBO listing. The setting in the woods was just perfect for us, and it is just a short, but quiet, driveway away from the highway. There is a lot to see within a short distance from the Tree House and we found road biking to be very enjoyable as well as hiking. The Tree House is a perfect place to experience the quiet "up north" county.

    • We just ended a wonderful week at the Tree House! It's a perfect spot for enjoying nature at her best and the Tree House is very well equipped for cooking up the local produce and freshly caught fish....as well as tasting wine made locally. Our golden retriever seems very sad today; we think she's missing all her walks in the forest and her swims in the lakes....and so are we! The Larkins were perfect hosts & even graciously shared their campfire with us (and our wet dog)one evening. We're so looking forward to our next visit!

    • My wife and I stayed here for a week over 4th of July and really enjoyed it. The cabin is well appointed, quiet, wellmaintained and has everything necessary for housekeeping, cooking and,in general, relaxing. The area is full of things to do, Great restaurants, hiking, shopping, sightseeing (the Winery tours are a "must do"). Tom and Kathy Larkin are very helpful and accommodating. Great place to stay!!

    • The Treehouse was the perfect place for our relaxing, beautiful honeymoon! After the very hectic period of getting everything set for the wedding, it was fantastic to just sit on the nearby beach, read books on the shady deck, hike the local trails, share a bottle of wine under the stars and just listen to the wind in the trees. We found so much to do in the nearby area, we never even drove south of Omena. Leelanau State Park has trails and beaches, and Northport holds restaurants and quaint shops. But mainly, we just relaxed; there were days we didn't even get in the car! The Treehouse is cozy and secluded yet close to everything we needed. We were able to unwind and rejoin the "real world" connected and refreshed.

    • I just spent a couple of restful nights at the Tree House and it was wonderful..quiet, clean, and a great location. Mornings sitting with my (well behaved:) dog on the deck, drinking tea, watching birds, and hearing not much more than the wind in the trees was the perfect antidote to a crazy work week. I highly recommend this place, not only to couples but to singles and friends that don't mind sharing a nice big (and comfy) bed.

    • Our family of 4 found the studio apartment to be a quiet and comfortable base camp from which to explore the incredible beauty and diversity of the Leelanau Peninsula. The Larkins were very helpful with suggestions and we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this apartment! Thanks, the Valentine family

(Unedited from our guest book) Tom & Kathy: We enjoyed everything the Tree House had to offer: peace & quiet, beauty, the surrounding woods, the sounds of summer, the invigorating fresh air, the comfortable bed, all the required necessities of home, all of your helpful information, and great hospitality. We enjoyed our trips out and about and seeing some of the great areas nearby. I'm sure that we will feel the intoxicating allure of this little hide-away, and hope to come back soon. Thanks for everything. Fondly, Tom Rohrer (Calf.) Jan Green (Bloomfield, MI)
