We just came home from an excellent adventure over the Jan 7-9th weekend. This home was lovely, each bed was reported to be so comfy with quality linen (clean and fresh), emaculant cleaning upon arrival. We ended up having 8 in our party and there was ample room in this home. Plenty of water for showers for everyone. All cooking utentisils were there and in good condition, big refrigerator and lots of cupbord storage. Has a great dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Best of all was the convienance to all activities in the Tahoe area. the kids were taken to Northstar (10 miles away) or they walked 1 block to the beach to watch the sunset. Grocery store was 2 miles away (safeway) and local restraunts nearby. We drove to incline village to bowl (awesome time again), and the neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and clean. Booking, checking in and out was a breaze, Joyce was wonderful to work with. Each person that came on this trip asked to do this again in the summertime as this cabin is perfect for winter or summer fun. I have booked plenty on VRBO and you never know what your really getting, i can honestly say that all the photo's and comments were very helpful and what was advertized was exactly what we got. Also... the wireless internet was awesome for all the kids with their wireless items, TV worked great with our Wii and plenty of room to play it. The open concept kitchen living space was the best so everyone could be involved in the entertaining.
Owner response:Thank you!! Joyce

This place was at great location, close to NorthStar, Safeway, the lake etc. summer time must be even better. It is on quite street. But the pictures were not so acurate and not updated. They had new counter but cabinets and everything else were old. We were very disapponted that housekeeping was poor and place was not super clean.
Owner response:I wish that this renter would have let me know that she was dissatisfied with the cleaning right away, so that I would have had the opportunity to send our housekeeper back to detail the house to her satisfaction. She didn't say anything until the day after she checked out. Our pictures definitly are updated, and show off our nice home.We try, but I guess we can't please everyone. We do try! Please see the other reviews.

Location/neighborhood is great (1 block from Agatam beach/Tahoe Vista restaurants - short drive from Kings Beach/Tahoe City/Squaw/Incline/etc.). House is well furnished/equiped (games/DVD player/bikes/fuseball table/toys for kids/kitchen utensils/beach chairs), deck is awesome- includes a BBQ table/chairs/umbrellas. Pictures of place/room on website are accurate/up to date. Not pictured is a bunk bed in a laundry room which even though the room is pretty small, it is useful if you have kids. Owner is responsive and easy to deal with. Very happy I found this rental and that it was available. Looking forward to an opportunity to rent the "Agatam Lodge" again and stay longer.

I rented this home in June 2011 and we had a blast! I definitely recommend this home. The lake is about a block away (very close, just walk down to the street and you are there), the home is clean and comfortable and the owners are very nice and friendly. My husband and I are in our 30s and we had our son (8 months old) and my parents (60s) vacationed at this home and we all enjoyed it. I am so happy that all turned out well. I will definitely be renting this house again and referring my family/friends to this location. I can't think of anything bad to say about this home. Perhaps the trash bin outside is small, but that is normal in the mountains.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the lodge this past week! Everything was as promised and exceeded our expectations. The location has to be seen to be believed! Just across the street from a nice small beach and within a short drive to everything you could want, including the Nevada border for some casino action if that's what you like. We have many wonderful memories from our trip and would highly recommend the lodge to anyone else planning their vacation. Sanjay

We loved our week staying at Agatam Lodge! It was so family friendly... all of our needs were anticipated by the Miller's. The little kids were excited to see the toys waiting for them. The great kitchen made it easy to fix meals for everyone. We hope to stay here again sometime. Thanks so much! Barbara Gibby, Sparks, Nv

The house was lovely! Very clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely updated. And I really liked that it was easy to get in and out of, just off the main road and no icey hills to worry about during a snow storm. I would definitly stay there again and I highly recommend to others.

We had such a wonderful time at the Miller's home on Agatam. The house was pristine, so comfortable and nicely decorated, and well-equipped. The beds were really comfortable (an important feature for me!) and the kids loved the bunk beds in the cute little "extra" room. Great kitchen with granite countertops and everything we would need to cook and enjoy not having to go out for dinner! We would love to come stay again when our plans allow.

We stayed for 5 nights at the house. It was by far the cleanest and most comfortable vrbo we have stayed in! The kids had a wonderful time with the toys and the sleds and it was great that we were able to bring our dog. I highly recommend staying here.

We spent a weekend at the Lodge in October and give it very high marks for cleanliness, comfort, quiet, and location. We took many walks on the beach and in the forest nearby. I also appreciate that the Millers accept dogs which made our stay even more enjoyable.

A great time was had by all at this wonderful North Shore home. It had everything you need and then some. My girlfriends and I were able to each have our own room. We walked to the beach each day and enjoyed our meals on the large shaded deck. Joyce the owner couldn't have been nicer and our stay was so easy to arrange. Thank You for a lovely time.

We loved staying at the house and we'll definitely go back. Our family of four stayed with a family of three, and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and the children enjoyed the toy selection. Next time we will not bring as much with us. The location is perfect: walking distance to the beach, in a very quiet neighborhood. The owner is very nice too.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Agatam Lodge. It was setup to where everything you could think of is provided and was in the perfect location. Our stay felt way too short and we would definitely rent this place out again and recommend the lodge to family and friends. Oh! The owner was amazing, she gives you her direct line and you can call if there are any questions or issues which is above and beyond your average rental. Thanks for the memories!

We stayed at this property for 3 days with a house full of kids. They enjoyed it and so did the adults. The home has everything you need to cook family style dinners. The house was very clean and had plenty of blankets and pillows. I would love to rent it for a summer getaway, as well as winter

We came up to Agatam Lodge to attend a wedding in Carnelian Bay. We arrived late at night to a Winter Wonderland. Despite the mountains of snow, the driveway and entry were clear and the house warm and inviting. My husband, brother and 3 children were very comfortable in this home which was well appointed but quite suited for children. Some houses we've rented have been not relaxing because they were not suited for young children, but this place had the best of both worlds. The neighborhood was quiet and the snow piles high enough so that the kids could sled in the front yard and on the street. They even built snow caves! Highly recommended. Jan

The lodge is wonderful and perhaps the best place I've stayed in my many years visiting Tahoe. My family and I were snowed in for a few days and appreciated the very well appointed kitchen, the many games, and the very comfortable living room with its picture window views of the snowy trees and its warm winter blankets. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, with many extra blankets and linens. The very best part was the acceptance of my dog, Blaze, who just loves the snow! I saw her do a snow plow imitation, wading out into a few feet of fresh powder. She also had a big time walking in various directions, towards the lake or the woods, and meeting the many neighborhood critters. Blaze and I will return again!

We absolutely recommend the Agatam Lodge. We stayed for over a week and it was one of the most relaxing vacations my family has ever taken. The house is very well equipped with everything you need, it was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the location was perfect. The Millers were very easy to work with and we plan to rent from them again in the future.

The only thing that I didn't like about our stay is that we didn't have more time to enjoy it! Two days is definatly not long enough to enjoy not only the surroundings of this beautiful land but the cabin itself was nothing but a fantastic place to stay. I will never get another hotel room when I can stay at such a "family friendly" home such as yours! No doubt in my mind everyone will enjoy staying at this very cozy, comfortable cabin with everything so near from a block from the lake to resturants to shopping to everyday modern conveniences! Hope everyone enjoys thier stay as much as we did!

We had another wonderful summer vacation at Tahoe, thanks to the Millers. The Agatam Lodge is so conveniently located, just a short walk to the beach and kayaking, and close to hiking and bike trails. The Lodge is so bright, cozy, clean and comfortable, with plenty of room, and all the comforts of home. The kids loved taking the rafts to the beach, and it was so nice having our family dog with us! Definitely a place to come back to again and again!
Owner response:Beth and her family stayed at our Tahoma Cabin last summer....Glad to have her back!

Absolutely beautiful home in North Lake Tahoe! Easy to reserve and the owners are very accommodating. One block to the beach, close to everything- shopping, grocery store, restaurants. Twenty min. to Squaw Valley. Two restaurants within walking distance- Mexican and Itian - both had great food and were very affordable. Beautifully appointed home with all the amenities!

A nice and comfortable home in a lovely area. The kitchen was supplied with all the cooking equipment and dishes we needed during our stay. We especially liked the large windows which provided a nice view from the livingroom/dining area. We were able to watch the falling snow while staying pleasantly warm next to the woodstove. The house is conveniently located: the beach, hiking trails, restaurants, and grocery store are minutes away. An added plus was being able to stay with our dog. She enjoyed her morning walks to the beach and through the quiet neighborhood as much as we did.

This was a comfortable, clean and well appointed home with a great selection of games, books, videos, etc. We particularly enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the large deck. We were also pleased to find the trails at the end of the block on which we could walk the dog. We appreciated the info book in the home that contained a wealth of information on dog friendly hiking trails and other attractions around the lake. The location was wonderful with the Safeway, bakery and coffee shops a short distance away and a ten minute drive to Tahoe City. We also appreciated the ease with which we could book and confirm the rental and the availability and flexibility of the owners to answer questions and make recommendations. We look forward to our next stay at this lovely quiet home.

It's a very comfortable and convenient home near the lake. Our dog enjoyed romping on the beach just at the end of the road and across the street. Restaurants were nearby. Also a few blocks to the Safeway. In fact we experienced an unbelievable meal about a block away that has to be the best restaurant on the Lake. the name is Wild Goose. The house is lacking nothing. Like being in a fine hotel only without the maid service constantly pestering. Go with my best wishes and breathe in that fresh mountain air. Dianne Erenberg (Pacific Palisades Ca.)
