we love ocean lakes, and this home made it the best vacation ever. we were there over labor day week, the weather was great, even though there was a threat of Irene. I would HIGHLY recommend this home and as a landlord myself I will say that I am very picky about the condition of a property! This home was very clean, well maintained & SO comfortable. Close to the beach - 5 minute walk. Listing photos & description are accurate. Shaded deck is great for relaxing by the lake. Lakefront is great for fishing! The owner was very easy to communicate with, any issue was immediately addressed/corrected. Centrally located near the store, laundry facility, pool & Meet n'Eat. Everyone was VERY comfortable in this home & can't wait to go back! :))))) Absolutely loved it!!!

This is our second year for our family reunion vacation and our second year at this beautiful house. We have children ranging from ages 4 to 17 and adults as old as 76. This is an ideal location for all. Close to the Ice Cream Shop, walking distance to the pool, basketball courts, and the beach. The boys enjoy the downstairs shower after a long day at the beach. Leaving the showers inside open for the ladies. The backyard is big enough for a game of ladder ball or corn hole and is nicely shaded. The porches are great for an early morning cup of coffee or a mid-day card game of Phase 10 or a late night chat. There is always a nice breeze stirring and the porch for the most part is shaded most of the day. The house is nicely furnished, cozy and always neat and very clean. The kitchen is a joy to cook to cook in. If you are looking for a PREFECT GETAWAY this is the place to come. We are looking forward for year number 3 next year. THANKS GUYS FOR THE USE OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL BEACH HOME. WE ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF OUR STAY!!!!

Family Summer Vacation

Our party included 8 adults and 7 children ranging in age from 12months to 62 yrs old. We had a blast and will definitely return. My two teenage sons are already looking forward to the next time they can go cruising on the golf carts! This house was furnished very nicely and provided all the amenities that we could ask for. Location in Ocean Lakes is perfect and the house is very well maintained. There is a little something for everyone and you don't even have to leave the resort if you don't want to. There are water parks close-by and plenty of shopping available within short driving distances. The owner was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating in every way. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene setting within walking distance of the beach.

The owner was wonderful to work with! Even when he went out of town, he made arrangements for us to get our questions answered without delay. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The house's location within Ocean Lakes is perfect-- a few yards from the convenience store and a very short walking distance to the beach, pools , and putt-putt. It provided perfect living accommodations with a well-stocked kitchen (i.e., utinsels, dishware, etc.) and plenty of space for multiple families. My family is already talking about going back in the future.

Clean and tons of room

This is our 2nd stay at this house and 3rd time in the camp grounds. For 5 golfers, it was perfect so each guy had their own room. We had rented 2 houses and one of the guys from the other house commented that the decor and upkeep was a 10/10. Although we did not get to the beach, it is close by. The upper deck has a nice view of one of the small lakes in the complex and provide ample room for a good card game. Jody is great at keeping communication clear and prompt!

This was a wonderful house to stay in. It was amazingly clean when we arrived. It had a perfect view of the lake and a great little front yard for the kids to play in. They loved being able to see the turtles and ducks right from the deck. Great location off main campground road. We have already talked about making reservations again for next year. The owner was also very heapful as we had a question while we were there.

This is a great home to stay in for your vacation! It has all of your needs and it is in a great location. Walking distance to the snack shop to get the YUMMY icecream! What a lovely place to relax and enjoy your family. The house was so spacious, clean and well maintained, and in a such wonderful location that we had a great time. Our family ranged from age 3 to 75 and we all had fun and took away great memories. The ice cream shop, the rec center and the store was close, the beach was within walking distant for the teenagers, and the kiddie pool was close for the little one. The best place of all is the 2nd story porch. There is always a breeze blowing under the big oak tree anf you can see when the ice cream line dies down, watch people fish from the lake and just rock read a good book and relax. The teenagers enjoyed playing corn hole and ladder ball in the backyard, while the adults enjoyed fishing in the lake. We appreciate Mr. Deaton and his family for having such a beautiful place and be willing to share it with others so we could make memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks again and we look forward to coming again next year - the children are already excited and happy that we will be back at the same place. We will be recommending this house to our friends and other family members.

Great Location!

House was clean and had everything we needed. The balcony off the living room has a huge tree beside it and it was shaded all day. I noticed a lot of other houses had full sun most of the day on the balconies. We rented the owners golf carts but the house is within walking distance to most things. You can see the store from the back of the house, a really short walk. I would highly recommend this house for your stay at Ocean Lakes.

A Great House to Rent at Ocean Lakes

We were first time VRBO renters and to be honest, we were a little nervous. After talking to the owner, we felt much better about renting. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful and understanding. We were amazed at how accurate the description was of the house and how clean it was. The pictures are also accurate but can’t captivate the comfort of the house. The layout was perfect for our family. We used the decks a lot. They are shaded by trees during the heat of the day, and this is where we spent most of our time while at the house - with our family playing cards, reading and just enjoying family time. Overall, the house was a pleasant surprise because it was much larger and nicer than expected. Our teenage boys were also very pleased! While we were there, we felt very comfortable calling the owner to ask a couple of questions. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. This house is in a great location within Ocean Lakes. It is close to the main store and easy to get to. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. I have already recommended it to friends (as long as they don't take our week! LOL) . We have already sent our deposit for next year and can’t wait!

Spring Fling

House was everything the description said it would be. Clean, lot's of space, close to all amenities. Owner was very helpful and replied to all emails promptly. We did rent a golf cart which made getting around a lot easier. We didn't have to use our vehicle at all while we were there. We would recommend this to any of our friends and family. Pool was clean, staff at Ocean Lakes were courteous.

-we used the house for a golf vacation home base and it was great set-up- seperate areas for 6 snoring adults was perfect-the wrap around porch overlooking water was heavily utilized for a few cocktails and stories of the golfing day-close proximity to store and snack bar was very handy-about a 4 minute walk to beach-great bang for the buck in terms of price!-communication and transaction with Jody through renting process, key pick-up etc was very smooth and painless!

We really loved the house and the back yard was wonderful. Very relaxing. We did not have any trouble getting in or anything. It went really smooth. All weekend we spent a lot of time at the table on the balcony. That seemed to be our hang out spot. I will definitely contact you again. We really had a great time. This home is so refreshing and relaxing. My mother passed away last year the Sat. after Thanksgiving. Our family wanted to all be together this year in a different location. The master bedroom downstairs was a perfect room for my dad. My 6 mo. old grandson was upstairs with his parents and grandparents. There were four generations in this home for Thanksgiving. We really hope we can be there next year. The owner is so good to work with and has guidelines for his home that I appreciate. I can't say enough about the experience and how marvelous this home is.

I can not say enough about the home. It is prefect in everyway! Perfect location...within walking distance to Ocean, Pool, Arcade, and Store! My Girls had to get a fishing rod since we were behind a lake and they had a blast! They didn't want to do anything but fish....LOL! You will not be disappointed with this home....love the way it is built...very roomy! We love the wrap around deck....and the fact that all rooms upstairs leads to a deck as well. We can't wait to go back! We all had a great time. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

The house was absolutely beautiful. You can tell its well maintained, as it is clean and modern. It was comfy and we felt right at home. Perfect, quiet location on a lake, but only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the beach.

Our family had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home. The house is very nice inside and out, well kept and maintained. The bedrooms all have their own door leading to a deck. Each room has a TV. The bedrooms are designed so that the walls do not connect to another bedroom and it helps to cut down on sound from other bedrooms. It is well designed with plenty of room. We really enjoyed it being on the lake so we could fish or just sit out on the swing downstairs and look at the ducks, birds,turtles and otters. It is a short walk to the store, pool and a nice walk to the beach. We will go back and stay again. It is a very relaxing place. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!!

Just to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at your place this year. The location on the lake was great. I think everyone enjoyed just sitting and watching the wildlife off the back deck, that seemed to be a gathering place every morning for coffee and in the late afternoon when it would cool off.

Hi Jody! JUST GOT HOME LAST NIGHT FROM THE BEST VACATION WE'VE EVER HAD. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! YOUR HOME IS BEAUTIFUL! AND THE CAMPGROUND WAS AWESOME! A GREAT PLACE FOR A FAMILY VACATION. I AM PUTTING IN THE MAIL TOMORROW MORNING THE KEYS AND THE RECEIPT FOR THE GOLF CART. ON THURSDAY MY HUSBAND STARTED TINKERING AROUND WITH YOUR GOLF CART AND DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM.
