Enjoy relaxing in a gorgeous, 4700-square-foot, Edwardian, manor home in the center of San Francisco. This home in the city's chic Ashbury Heights neighborhood features a gourmet kitchen, three fireplaces, five bedrooms, and five bathrooms. The newly remodeled kitchen, family room, and breakfast room open onto a charming garden with a patio and waterfall. The spacious master suite, living and dining rooms each have a fireplace and are graciously furnished, including a grand piano and a pump organ.
Second floor bedrooms are carpeted and bathed in sunlight. The very large third floor guest bedroom suite (with an antique, four-poster queen-size bed, a single bed, and private bath) offers views of the ocean, a peek at the Golden Gate Bridge, and a sweeping vista of the Marin headlands. Sunsets from this vantage point are spectacular. Also on the third floor (and what five-star hotel can match this?) - your own private Ping-Pong table.
Central location near UCSF and Golden Gate Park. Ashbury Heights is below Twin Peaks and borders Cole Valley with its coffee shops and restaurants just three blocks away. It is an easy walk from our house to UCSF (seven blocks) and Golden Gate Park (four blocks). The famous Haight Street is three blocks downhill - a definite must for first-time visitors to San Francisco. Ben and Jerry's is on the corner of Haight and Ashbury across from The Gap. Funky, fun shops are all up and down Haight Street, and Amoeba Records - arguably the best music store in the west - is six blocks away at Haight and Shrader.
Transportation: Catch the Muni/Metro right at our corner or the N-Judah streetcar three blocks away on Cole Street. You are also welcome to ride our bikes for a hilly thrill.
You will absolutely love staying in our house. We do!
