We invite you to come and relax at our beach cottage fully equipped with all the amenities to make you feel at home away from home! Located on Scenic Highway 30-A in Santa Rosa Beach, we are conveniently located. Only 7 minutes to Seaside, 5 minutes to BayTown Wharf and Sandestin and only 11 minutes to the heart of Destin. Our sugary white sand beaches are pristine, unspoiled and UNCROWDED which provide a more tranquil setting for families to relax and enjoy the clear emerald waters. We are just a short stroll to the beach, and the new public beach access has a great bathroom facility and outdoor shower.
Our home which is tastefully decorated for comfort and fun and will sleep 11 comfortably with one king bed and one full sleeper sofa in the master; one queen and one full/twin bunk in each of the downstairs bedrooms and one queen sofa sleeper in the den. (All rooms have ceiling fans).
Fluffy towels and soft linens are provided and a full washer and dryer are available for your convenience. (please bring your own beach towels).
"Cooking in" is always an option in this fully equipped kitchen with dining table and barstools to seat 10. There is a water filter in refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster oven and coffee maker. (We also have a coffee grinder if you want to have "fresh" ground coffee). If you prefer to grill out, there is also a gas grill (BBQ) on the large side deck.
A new Publix shopping center which is 3 miles up the road also has a Starbuck's for that coffee fix and really great new fine restaurants.(We have provided a folder with menus from some of the area restaurants along 98 and 30-A from Destin to Sea Grove).
AMENITIES:
There are two balconies with SPECTACULAR panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding Santa Rosa Beach and a large side deck for grilling or sun bathing or just hanging out.
There is a large screen TV in the den with DVD, VCR, Tuner and CD player. We have a small selection of movies and CD's; there is a movie rental place just minutes away or you can bring your own.
TV, DVD/VCR player are located in the master;and a combo TV/DVD player with a Playstation 2 (games included), is located in downstairs bunk bedroom.
There are cards and board games for evenings of family fun, and a bookshelf filled with books for reading on the beach or in the shade relaxing on the porch with your favorite cocktail or cup of coffee.
Beach Umbrellas, chairs, crab nets, boogie boards and beach toys for building that "one in a million" Sand Castle are located in the storage area underneath the house.
There are many Great Golf Courses nearby to include Camp Creek, Burnt Pines, Regatta Bay, Kelly Plantation and of course the Santa Rosa Beach and Golf Club is just one mile up the road.
The large driveway has enough room for four to five vehicles with covered parking for two.
Enjoy visiting the boutique shops and restaurants at nearby Gulf Place which has children's activities, an artists colony, Day Spa, and movie night on the lawn every week. From April to September there is a free concert every Sunday night. The local surf shop (Moon Doggies Surf and Sport) provides tennis rental, lessons and surf boards and just up about a half mile is a scooter rental shop. Miss Lucille's is a great little coffee shop there where you can also purchase "beach drinks" and ice cream. The Smiling Fish cafe has good salads and sandwiches and there is a new pizza place on the upper level.
Water parks, putt putt, movies, outlet shopping and more are just five miles away in Sandestin. And Bay Town Wharf, just 5 minutes up the road has wonderful restaurants, boutique shops, concerts and boat trips.
Bring your bikes (or rent them) and traverse the 20 mile bike path which runs the length of 30-A. You can explore all sorts of interesting and unusual shops, good restaurants, architecture from weird to wonderful, lakes, state parks, and all manner of little beachtowns, each with its own personality (Rosemary, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain, Santa Rosa etc.)
Evenings on the beach are the best. Starting with the amazing sunsets (which also can be viewed from the porch) and finishing up with a walk along the beach at night looking for ghost crabs with the flashlight. The name of the game is to relax and have fun. We have tried to provide all the things you would need for a fun filled relaxing vacation. Come and enjoy the beauty of this little slice of paradise!
