Nice apartment, great for a family

Stayed here for a week with two adults and three teenagers. The apartment was great, it was a easy short walk to the U-ban (subway) and two convenient grocery stores. The apartment itself was nicely appointed, beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The three bedrooms were private and there were plenty of bathrooms. Kitchen was good for quick meals and had all the dishes, pans and utensils we needed. The combined microwave and burners was interesting to use, but gave us no issues. We also didn’t have any issues with paper products or soap as noted by previous reviewer, the apartment had everything we needed upon our arrival. (We do always carry at least a small supply of both anyway as we have found private rental don’t always provide them, especially in Europe) The apartment was perfect for us traveling on a budget; it’s not fancy but comfy and has everything we needed. We settled in quickly, thanks Jutta for a great stay.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

We have just returned from our stay at this apartment which was one of few we could find with accommodations for seven adults. The location was absolutely perfect for us as the trains were only two blocks from the unit, and since we relied solely on trains, it was ideal. The apartment was very quiet so sleeping when there was not an issue. Bedding was very clean. One of the things we think should be included, and available upon arrival, is toilet tissue and hand soap in each bathroom. After spending the night in a sleeper car on the train, all seven of us were anxious to use a "real" bathroom and you can imagine the chaos when one of the bathrooms was found to have no toilet tissue! The same was true of no hand soap after using the bathroom. We have no problem providing additional supplies if we had used them, but we think these are necessary items to be included with a rental.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, age 55+.

Four of us stayed at this condo for the first week of Oktoberfest. The location was nice, five train stops from the main station, six stops from the fairgrounds. A great little bar/restaurant is right across the street. The condo has three bedrooms and two baths with one room (about 12'x20') that makes up all the living space. This room contains the kitchen which consists of a counter that was falling off the wall and supported by a cart, a microwave with two electric burners built into the top of it, and an apartment size fridge with no freezer. the room doubles as the dining room,with a table that kept collapsing because the legs were falling apart. The room also served as the living room, with a futon as the only furniture a small tv (13"?). One of the bedrooms had a broken window, and the light did not work but would mysteriously flash at random times. Faulty wiring perhaps? The coffee maker did not work when we arrived and the owner replaced it promptly when we told him about it. He replaced it with a 5 cup coffee maker which we thought was an odd choice for a condo that sleeps eight. While the owners were easy to deal with, I just dont think they care too much about this property. It seems that they furnished it with the cheapest furniture they could find. Kitchen towel,napkins and toilet paper were at a premium. I understand that accommodations are at a premium doring Oktoberfest, but I dont think we would have had a hard time doing better for the price.

Thank you for the help to improve the condo -- but we are sure that you wouldn't get any better deal during Oktoberfest. "Has potential,but......you can find always something..!!! Thats why we dont think your rating (2/5) is fair !

The listing description regarding the location was accurate - it is a good location for both day trips as well as for going into the center of Munich. The property was fairly clean but the level of maintenance was poor. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms (sink and shower) as well as in the kitchen sink is too low and must be fixed. Some of the beds are not in good shape and must be replaced. The owner is very kind and makes attempts to respond to concerns. This is a good condo if you want to visit Munich and the region, however the owner should execute the required improvements.

While proximity to U-Bahn station is a plus, this is definitely a spartan apartment more appropriate for a larger group (5-6 young people) who would be staying here to crash after a night of Oktoberfest parties and save on the rent/hotel. The amenities are pension-level at bare minimum (we had to purchase our own tissue paper and soap!) the floors were stained and we were nicely surprised to have decent bedding and running warm water to shower. The owners did not meet us in person in spite of several phone calls only asking to deposit cash in the mail box downstairs before we left. This was in sharp contrast to the wonderful city of Munich and the great time we had in Bavaria.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Great location - nice neighborhood

We stayed 4 nights in Munich, the location of the apartment is wonderful. It is in a nice neighborhood, there is a good grocery store and many good restaurants within walking distance.It is located close to the S-Bahn train station and is a short ride to the main train station. The apartment is a nice size and the beds are comfortable and linens are clean. The apartment was not very clean though, we paid a $15 Euro per person cleaning fee and I would have hoped this ensured the apartment was clean when we arrived. The mirrors in the bathroom were dirty, the dishes in the kitchen needed to be washed and the dish cloths in the kitchen were not clean. The floors had not been swept or at least not very well. The other issue was it was cold and rainy when we were in Munich, there is a note not to touch the thermostat, so we were very chilly in the apartment during our stay. If the owner addresses these issues it would be an even more comfortable stay. We found a wonderful Italian restaurant, great prices great food, it was on the way to the McDonald's and is located on a corner....it's worth looking for.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

wHAT A GREAT LOCATION! ONLY 5 STOPS FROM MAIN STATION AND 3 STOPS FROM MARIENPLATZ. GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT/BAR ACROOS THE STREET ZUM PILSHAN, GREAT PEOPLE EASY TRANSACTION. WISH THERE WAS MORE THAN ONE KEY AVAILABLE.
